¥218000 is that the regular preorder price or have they inflated it?
It’s a market price and AE is releasing like in a week so I assume it’s in stock item. However, the sazabi they are selling is 298000 which is a good price close to US release price 2000USD

@davidwhangchoi saw that the reservations for the MS Nu Gundam are open at E Knight Media over at TFW: https://www.eknightmedia.com/ms-gundam-char-s-counterattack-rx-93-v-gundam-kaitai-shou-ki-metal-structure-action-figure-by-bandai-tamashii-nations.html
The way I understand it is not a preorder but a potential reservation if they get enough stock and they require a non-refundable $100 downpayment: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/bandai-metal-build-discussion.1115253/page-408#post-21685250
I emailed them like ten days ago they said they haven’t received anything but would keep me updated. Now they just open PO damn.

Picked up my first Sazabi today, it is now sitting in the office waiting for a good time for me to contraband it home. Was chatting with the store owner on upcoming stuff; apparently the re-release of metal structure Nu Gundam will be a bundle package with the fin funnels, and along side it a significant price increase. The re-release Nu will also have new markings different than the original. The sad news is that the standalone fin funnel package re-release is nowhere on the horizon, all production runs of the fin funnels in the factories now are going into the bundle package.
I kinda doubt that cuz Bandai usually just re-issue without changing anything if they say “re-issue”.

Are the wings able to support there own weight? With the metal robot spirits version the wing joints weren't strong enough and would flop around.
They are strong enough, but stand connection is stupid. It connects to the tail of it but main body is heavier so it will keep falling off.

*Looks like it only has 6 Funnels instead of 12. I wonder if they're going to release add-on/optional parts to make it look like the regular Nu and to equip 12 Funnels. HWS Option Parts is cool too.
China Bandai Tmall shop will have a special exclusive cover for double 11 event.

Thanks for sharing those photos, @carlsylar. I didn't know you have one.
I didn't know the grey paint on the white armor is tad darker. I thought it was lighter like in the promo pics.
So granted I want Freedom that resembles the show and not the stylized Metal Build design, would you say that the Chogokin is good enough if I don't have the master skill of building and paint a Master Grade kit?
Bandai built a real size freedom in Shanghai China and the shop near this real size freedom sells chogokin freedom in advance and I got a friend to grab it for me.
In my opinion is is not wroth and kind disappointed. But if you don’t have the skill to build a mg you can choose this one. -

Is there much improvement over the original Metal Build release?
1 hour ago, 68whiskey said:Thats a tough one. The first freedom gundam came out in 2012 , back then Bandai set the bar real low. I own an MB freedom and the detail on this one looks better in my opinion since it has more panel lining. However its also an apples to orange comparison as this is their Chogokin line which is more on par with Robot Sprits in terms of detail and points of articulation.

Esp with the last Freedom release, the Fredoom Gundam Concept 2 which is a big leap from the first Metal Build Freedom release. By design, I think of the Chogokin figure an upgrade from a Master Grade kit. It has diecast joints, nice panel linings, and painted with some metallic colors. Not to mention, the eyes lights up too where Metal Builds don't.
Overall the basic design is kind of the same as the Master Grade kit, where Metal Build is more stylized. Articulation-wise, I think the Metal Build has the advantage against the Chogokin figure. In the end, if you don't like the stylized design of the Metal Build, and you want it closer to the original design, then the Chogokin figure is the one for you. Which is why I'm kind of considering it.
Chogokin Freedom is not good, the only thing better is it has lights inside but really not useful. In my opinion go for concept 2. These are my photos take a look.
