I thought so too judging from videos and such. I am working on acquiring one Although everyone’s hands are bigger than mine so hard to tell until I handle it in person. If anyone has a pic of the YF-19 or VF-1j next to some MG 1/100 gunpla kits I could picture it better.

I actually like the previous two DX’s better so at the least just hoping this can be trade fodder or allow me to get those other two for a decent price after selling this one. I don’t know. Or I end up liking this one or not getting anything at all haha

Ah yeah I meant this being my first DX but that I like the playability of the HMR and hope a $250-300 toy can still be a “toy” in every sense of that word. Thanks for your input. I like displaying but I fiddle enough to emphasize the “playing” in disPLAYING haha.

My only frame of reference is my HMR VF-1D, but what’s the percentage of things being display piece to a whooshable “toy”. I mean, I like to think I’m gentle but I do like to fiddle and transform every now and then. Isn’t that the value, that it’s 3-in-1? For those who “play” (when no one’s looking) or transform often, is the quality there? Obviously joints get loose but I’d like to hear some anecdotal data on how it’s in general holding up from gentle but regular “handling”.

Thank so much! I just tried this again with your emphasis on pushing up on the heel (ouch, mah fingers) along the length of the leg instead of trying to apply force to pinch and rotate the heel. That did it!

Sorry I see now what you mean by rotates. And it's on both feet I believe. Hope these pictures can help better than I describe.

Any picture so I know how far back its supposed to go? I see this metal tab (that's exposed when front toe is pointed down) that turns with the back toe rotation. Transforming has never been so precarious!

Rotating, as in just splaying/spreading out the feet after the initial click from jet thruster look, right? If you mean side pivot it doesn't do that well either haha. I'll look up a review of the ostrich and search the thread.

Messed with the vf-1d from hlj. My first so it was fun. I also can't get the feet to widen out enough for proper gerwalk mode look At first I thought there were two clicks for the feet to pull out because after the first click, the back heel doesn't go back far enough I feel for stability. Now I'm seeing some previous comments that this is an anomaly?

Thanks for the help all. This is gonna be harder than I thought lol. I was going to just wait till proper release day for this and the Dx 1a and hope for Amazon to open up beyond already fulfilled preorders. How could I be so naive haha.

Sorry but any rhyme or reason why the vf-1d is listed as shipped and sold from Amazon and yet it's not able to be shipped to the US? Am I missing something here?
