I actually advised on these and my Valk is featured here. Great repro set for sure but missing the factory applied decals. (They wanted to wait on those.)

As far as the heatshields, there was someone selling them on Facebook eons ago but I can’t remember. Might be worth scouring the various groups. Otherwise, eBay.

And I just thought of something else. At the beginning of 3.33 Unit 01/Shinji are imprisoned in that cross shaped box in orbit. Did NERV/Gendo put him/them there? Why? Doesn't it assume that they stopped the Third Impact to get them in there? Isn't the Third Impact what they wanted? And how did they get an awakened Unit 01 in there in the first place? Ask nicely?

I’m guessing Anno didn’t have a continuity team on the project like Star Wars 💩

I don't think it's an overshare, man. I can relate in many ways, and I'm sure there are a ton of others too. In that sense, it probably resonates well for many. Just not sure if I prefer the ending unresolved like the original (darker) or tied up a bit like Rebuild (lighter). I think I appreciate both and look at them as separate tellings of the same story - almost like a choose your own adventure. If I were to guess, it probably reflects Anno's maturity and growth over the last 25 - 30 years. Most of us have a worldview that evolves (whether we are aware and intentional of it or not).

Yeah I’m a bit unsure how I feel about it. The original ending versus the rebuild ending is quite different albeit both a little surreal.

It would be interesting to actually see production numbers, revenue and profit on this line and then compare it to the profitability of let’s say Gundam. If I were a product manager for the Macross line or even product marketing, I would be interested in trying to pull sales by region from my resellers to project the opportunity size outside of Japan.

You can see from the images that the in-progess shots don’t have the same markings. He must recreate them. 🤷‍♂️

Unless Shawn or JVMacross (who started this new process) has a different opinion, the rule for PO has been to share a link once PO has been acquired.
