  1. Sorry for the post. Anyone interested, there's still 3 hours and a bit left before my auction ends and I find a new home for the DX VF-1J. Hopefully to someone who will appreciate it more than me. Still low at $212.50 CAD (a user had to cancel their bid). https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Bandai-DX-Chogokin-VF-1J-Valkyrie-Hikaru-Ichijo-1-48-scale-Used-Complete/274476750570?hash=item3fe816d6ea:g:7-MAAOSw2glfStPM Good Luck!
  2. Hi all, just want to let anyone interested know I've decided to offload my DX VF-1J... auction style. I'll be sticking with the Arcadia and 1/60 line in general. Starting $150 CAD and no reserve. Good luck! https://www.ebay.ca/itm/274476750570
  3. Was one of the first to post, but didn't ship abroad.
  4. Ouch. That turned into one expensive paper weight bird.
  5. I went with the Percival. Personally, looks much nicer than Isamu's scheme. It also looks stealthy.
  6. Yep happened to me add well.
  7. My YF-29B has a cracked neck piece that holds the ball joint. A clean break too...

  9. Just using the wing flaps. The droopy wing flap sits on top of the other wing flap which keeps the wings aligned. As you can seen in my pic, the wing flaps are not aligned. The left wing flap is sitting on top of the right wing flap.
  10. Did the seller state this? ** SPECIAL ATTENTION** U.S. Customers would receive a flat envelope before actual shipping to avoid late shipping restrictions eBay has on U.S. area. A new tracking number would be provided after actual release. This is probably what was shipped. I've noticed this popping up recently with some PO items I'm viewing (China sellers).
  11. *duplicate post made in VF-1J thread* Well, I managed to get my wings lined up in battroid. My wing flaps are a bit wonky by the looks of it because by using them to apply small pressure with each other, I got them aligned. This is after I took the entire wing apart, shaved off what looked like excess glue on one side the rear rudder assembly is attached to and ended up stripping a screw hole in the whole process. So be extra careful if you decide to take it apart and reassemble it. But this wing misalignment seems to be more of a YMMV issue. Since I had no excess flash even after taken the time to shave off somethings here and there, I still had the issue. Only messing with the wing flaps seem to have fixed it (but adds to the list of things easily bumped and need to fiddle with after posing). Wing Aligned by Vicki Lee, on Flickr The wings are held together by 5 screws. Once you get those screws out, it's easy to dismantle. Here's a blow up of the assembly. 13. Considering they are the most iconic VF-1s of the show I agree. As for the DYRL Hikaru VF-1S, I consider it being the closest thing to a modern Transformers Jetfire and something I want. I'm not going to go all in with the DX. Probably the DYRL Hikaru VF-1S as mentioned and the Vermillion squad and that's it.
  14. Won't work as it will be too back heavy and tip the base over. It is not stable. I've tried it before shooting the poses I've posted.
  15. Well, I reversed the fighter holder on the exclusive stand to get the following results: Flight 2 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Flight 1 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Flight 3 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Flight 4 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr I guess it's a another nice display option if you don't mind displaying the stand backwards for this.
  16. Attaching the gunpod fixes it a little, though I can't fully tab the arms in. There will be a very, very small gap between the arms and underbody for it to 'fit'. I only have the issue with one arm. The other arm solidly pegs in without issue.
  17. Maybe more of a manufacturing QC problem? Not sure how many are experiencing this issue. Similar to the latch that holds the swing bar. Mine is solid and hard to remove, while others pop easily.
  18. It is offset in order to get the arm pegged into the tab. If I aligned both arms (no offset), the arm will not peg and pop out of the tab.
  19. Well, I seem to have figured out my sagging arm problem due to it not pegging into the underside body tab. The alignment is off by a millimeter causing the arm not to peg in properly. When realigned it fits snug into the peg. Shook it around and it's solidly in. So if any of you have this issue, this could be the cause. 20. The problem with the tab is that I think it's more an alignment issue or some odd issue in that line. It's not 'loose' and you stick it in only to have it pop out as if either the hole is smaller than the tab or vice versa. It just refuses to peg in not due to looseness but like some force is being exerted on it to make it pop off. That's what's happening on my copy.
  21. I find attaching the gunpod helps remedy this. @jenius you mentioned under new (improvements) Bandai brought the lowering head in fighter/gerwalk. This already existed with the 1/60 VF-1 v2, so not new? Unless you meant a direct comparison between 1/48 and not v2? Sorry wasn't sure what you were trying to convey. 22. I have the issue with only the right arm not tabbing and wanting to pop off. The left arm though tabs fine without issue. I find attaching the gunpod under the arms keep it in place for the most part. The ball hips have loosened a little bit on my copy after messing with it for a bit. Also got paint scuffs at the gerwalk joint. There's diecast exposed in the new swivel joint used to give the wider A stance. The gerwalk joints and ratchet knees are also not strong and tight. Depending on how much weight is being used to support, will be a floppy mess. There's also diecast in the head from what I could see when I accidentally popped off the head.
  23. Nice read. Just to point out that the ankles actually have 2 joints. There's the ball joint and above that a side to side swivel hinge. Which can be seen when the foot is fully extended. This allows for really well articulated ankle tilts. And the feet can actually be planted firmly and flat on the ground with the very wide A stance.
  24. Will these do? Action Pose 1 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Action Pose 2 by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Charge by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Assault Charge by Vicki Lee, on Flickr Can't get enough of this beast. It's way more fun than the 1/60 VF-1 v2s.
  25. There's really no detail back there. However, it does give a small semblance that the hatch is there (if you knew there was one there in the first place). Doesn't bother me as I don't look back there anyways.
