I think this guy in the forum is selling one:
-
Ill patiently wait for a review and see, I do feel the over engineering in Bandai toys lowers the durability long term. Minus some paint chipping i have no issues with the Yammy 1/48s.
-
I think in fighter mode the Super packs just dont work, the boosters just seem silly to be honest.
-
I got mine for 30K + 3000 on SAL from NY, but thankfully no customs on it. I think they know how to do it properly there.
I got my second one from CDJ, 25k + 5800 EMS Shipping and then got charged customs cause they declared the full RRP of said toy. So i got royally screwed on that.
I didnt intend to buy two, I would be willing to sell my second one but yes unfortunately have to wait till prices go up just to break even, if it ever does.
$280 with shipping at this stage is a fair price, assuming you dont get taxed of course.

Can I guess that Arad's Supers will be the same colour as his "Stampede Armoured" look when Bandai does decide to make it. Orange doesn't look quite right to me for Arad as it should be red.
I agree, orange doesnt work very well with the livery of Arad's VF 31. Perhaps the red/turquoise combo could have worked better.

I was thinking, it's funny, this will probably be the worst release QC wise, and we all kinda know that, but we're all still tripping over ourselves to get one.
Why do you say that?

My humble collection of my 1/48's. I switched over to other stuff. But personally I love this size and the gimmicks on the 1/48 series. Will display again once i settle down. My Low Vis has the velcro front flap.

Ok. I guess, it's my turn to vent out something. Well, it's more of like a funny experience to me. I think. First time happened to me.
I know at the end of a day, it's a little bit frustrating since it involves a big amount of money. But I just don't want to think about it too seriously. So I'm keeping my cool.
Three weeks ago, I bought the cheapest DX YF-19 I could find over eBay at $230 shipped from China. Last I checked my tracking it was delivered at my work's mail facility last Saturday. After not getting it from Monday to Tuesday, I panicked. So I browsed My eBay last night and check it again. Yeah, it was shipped and delivered according to it. So now, for curiosity sake, I went back to the seller's feedback page and see if there's anyone besides me who bought the rest of his '5' DX YF-19 units (6 got sold within a day or two when I purchased mine.), assuming they already received theirs ahead of me has left some feedbacks already. And lo and behold, there's one stating 'Paid $230 figure but the seller send me a small plastic box. Cheater!'. I now have to panic, right? Nah. I still need to think positive. Besides, if I get it, it's going to be one cheap YF-19, right?
Today, Wednesday morning. The reception said, there's a 'letter packet' that was waiting for me in the mailroom. I was like, a 'letter packet'? And when I saw it, it is indeed a 'letter packet mailer padded envelope'. (Say that 10 times faster.
) With the same tracking number that I'm following. Instinct kicks in. I said to myself I have to shoot a video while opening this and took pictures of it at the same time. And when I opened it... it wasn't a 'plastic box' like the other buyer received. It was a freaking Disposable Plastic Raincoats. That's right with an 's' coz I got two! For $230, I got 2 Disposable Plastic Raincoats. It would've been nice if the raincoats have printed Makina pictures on it.
Anyways, the ending is that, I already did file for a Full Refund. And if the seller didn't respond up to Oct 30, then eBay will take over.
On a side note though, I woke up this morning with an email stating I won a bid for an opened DX VF-31A last night at YJA. Once again, it was the 'cheapest' one I could find. And yes, I did check the seller's feedback and it's a 75/25 ratio. So cross fingers.
I have to admit, if I was selling one on Ebay i have no idea how they could make any money selling it at $230 including shipping plus Ebay fees. Unless they stole one from the factory in China, in which case fair enough. lol.
I would have to sell my second YF-19 for a lot more just to break even due it being subjected to Customs...

10/14/2018 15:19 In Customs 10/14/2018 15:19 Item presented to import Customs 10/17/2018 08:39 Departure from inward office of exchange 10/17/2018 08:39 Item returned from import Customs 10/18/2018 00:10 Processing at delivery Post Office 10/18/2018 Retention Slightly off topic, but anyone know what to do when waiting for a package and you get this as the status? I ordered from CDJ and EMS shipping. Google has said it means I may have to pay taxes, but I dont know for sure.
Ironically I used the cheaper airmail for another item from NY and that arrived faster even though it shipped later.

Beautiful VF-22. How are the thigh joints? When I owned a 1/60 Yamato YF-21, the legs were a floppy mess.. Could not stand in its own..
Thanks, after reading all the messages on this thread I have also gone ahead and loosened the screws. Seems to work better in getting it to the top.
My VF-22 seems OK, the possibility isn't amazing but seems to stand OK in this pose

So the Hayate VF-31F comes with some draken connectors and a Hayate pilot figure, otherwise there is literally 0 difference between this and the VF-31F?

Great thread, gonna try some of those potential fixes on my YF-29 30th, it's got the loose shoulders

The Infinite Justice just came in yesterday.
Also loving the GM Cold Type from the A.N.I.M.E line. The elbows and calf have hidden panels that get sucked in for crazy poses. It remains me of the Sentinel releases but something you can handle easily. I want to pick another two.
Can't wait for the Kamfper and Z-Gok E, both would be awesome to see in this line. Looking forward to the Hy-Gogg and GM Sniper II. And totally agree that there should 0083 suits in this line. I highly recommend the Cold Type to anyone that like 0080 or GMs.
Lovely, that infinite justice does looks amazing

Part of the adventure. Not a whole you can do unless you live in Japan or know someone who does.
Can always buy replacement parts on shapeways. Maybe I do not understand your question?
No you did understand correct , just worried about the QC issues. Hopefully it doesn't look like anything serious so far.

Im very apprehensive now about receiving my figure...Not sure what to do if something doesnt work?

The silver lining is Macross toys hold their value pretty well and can increase in value. I don't feel as bad buying Macross toys knowing I can offload them at close to what I paid if I needed funds
Unless you happen to own a Yamato 1/60 V1 and a Toynami MPC Ben Dixon, I am almost certain these investments have lost value for me.

For anyone looking for a DX Chogokin YF-19, CDJapan has 1 in stock for 25,000 yen.
Not anymore
, thanks for the info, I now need to cancel my purchase on NY

I know anymoon website mentioned the Bandai VF-19 edges out the Arcadia YF-19 just barely, if you had to buy one. Does that same comment hold true for the YF-19?

Yeah it is too much happening here, even if the colours are good. I mean you can barely see the VF-31 anymore. given how great the VF-31 looks I wouldnt want to cover it up.
