Yep, I hate getting these letters, could have bought another VALK with all the import duties I have had. So far only NY has been the only site that has bypassed this. HLJ, CDJ, HS, Ami, Mandarake, all put the full amount and thus get charged this horrendous amount.

I paid the inflated price of 25,800 on NY after the cart jacking on other sites.
With regards to scalpers, this is a reality of other toy lines and any other event really. I mean have you ever tried buying tickets for sporting events or gigs?
There is no real way to stop it.
However those that buy multiple Valks on here, with the title of being a collector, does that make you a scalper? Are you going to sell them on later at cost price if you decrease your collection for whatever reason?

Just got this, I already have a Hasbro MP 10, but this transform Element optimus is so much better. I guess it's based of the MP 44 soon to be released but the price of that is ridiculous.

I wouldn't want to start buying macross figures purely as an investment opportunity. Would rather enjoy the figure, transform it and admire it. Neither of these Anniversary VF1Js look good, to be honest.

I have recently just come across this on Ebay:
Supposedly a VF-31J KO, not much information unfortunately though.

From What I Own,
Best:
a) Yammy 1/48 Stealth VF-1J (when i get my hands on a Bandai VF-1 this will probably change)
b) Bandai VF-31 (Just the most fun to transform)
c) Bandai YF-19 (cause its the YF-19)
Worst:
a) Toynami Masterpiece VF-1 (Just terrible, but the packaging is probably the best)
b) Yammy V1 1/60 VF-1J (even though this kickstarted it all, so I dont hate it but dont like it)
c) Bandai YF-29 Memorial (I love the colours and design but I can see this not holding up over long time and lots of paint chippings)

Considering this is a special limited first edition release with a special stand. Surely another batch will be released by Bandai without the special stand.

I am in the same boat, I could purchase the VF-0D normal at a much lower price than the PF VF-0D will be or wait. But worried both will have those leg issues which I really dont want.
