Oh no! Glad you're okay, that looks like the kind of accident that can hurt.

Yikes it looks to be a total write off. Sorry to hear this.

Thanks mate. She kept me safe and I got out without a scratch. Really lucky considering I crossed and recrossed three lanes of traffic and freeway speeds going backwards.

A few months ago this old girl joined the garage. Nothing special by U.S standards but only 200 or so made it on the roads down here in Australia and according to the VIN mine is  1 of 7 in this colour combination.

    I have been driving it

Since September and I still haven't seen another one!.

  3. We are getting out of the kit business. Life events and a recent accident means I have reviewed what's important. Prices do not include shipping which will be charged at cost via Australia Post.

Any questions just send me a PM or email me at return2kitform@gmail.com. Also open to offers and package deals as well.

    Cheers,

    Since it’s a new year, I’m going to wish for a Hasegawa 1/48 scale VF-1D in 2024.

It seems like a reasonable idea, since it only involves tooling about 20 new parts to add to the VF-1 kit. I'm not sure how well the 1/72 version sold, but I assume it did ok since they reissued it with added box artwork.

They have reissued the VF-1D a bunch of times including as The Virgin Road edition. Plus they released (and reissued) a GERWALK kit so I'd say it is popular enough.

  6. Good Evening Folks!

We have opened our first pre order for John's kit from back in the day (I am not sure if this ever got a re release after 2007).  10 orders are needed to kick this off ( we have 4 so far) and the kit comes with water slide decals and colour instructions. If we get the number the kits should be ready in late September. Send me a PM (or just comment below) if you are interested

Thanks to John Moscato for letting me use his images 😉

What's interesting is that I saw the kit number is 30 instead of the usual 5 digit number?

My guess is that this has been in the works for a while has retains the early kit designation. Hasegawa only have a small staff and have been kept busy with the Delta kits, Mechatro, MaK and retro anime releases too. I'd hesitantly guess that for whatever reason the GPB made it to the top of the list.

Hasegawa pay attention to toy releases so perhaps they were hoping to cash in on the hype around Bandai DX GBP release for those that aren't into toys or don't have the spare cash.

  8. @peter There is sooo much 90's design in that runabout!

@MechTech that's not rust. It is supposed to be grey paint chiiped and peeling to reveal the orange underneath. The slat was salvaged from VT-102 after it was recovered from the ruins of South Ataria island post fold incident. Great pliers by the way your engineering skills are awesome!

  9. Yeah it has been a while.

I asked HLJ for an advance copy (or at least just the canopy) so that I could bring a canopy mask set to market early.

The staff had to look up the kit as they had never heard of it!

    :shok:

Your website looks great, can't wait to see what else you have coming up, congrats!

Excellent build, any idea which issue this  is it in?

Pretty sure it is this months issue. I can't take credit for the photo as a mate of mine sent it when he saw the build. He's a member of MW but doesn't come here often.
