    Ok, so news on this.

This wasn't to announce the song coming to Uta Macross. Its was an announcement of an announcement, which happened this morning US time.

The songs from the new album will be appearing in the game, but on 8/31 for Good Job and then the other two on 9/1 and 9/2, Still well ahead of the CD release.

Also I hope everyone is enjoying the new updates:

V.O.P. - Send your valks on missions for more materials

Dress Upgrades - Add stats to your favorite costumes so that your divas can rock and look good.

6 track mode - also with new sliding notes. (not all songs converted just yet)

If you have any questions just ask here or if part of the FB or discord ask there.

In Macross Delta, both of the principal architects of Windermere's second war against the New UN Gov't were killed in the conflict.  King Grammier VI was killed in the invasion of Ragna in Ep13 and Chancellor Roid Brehm was killed by Keith in the final episode.  The only Aerial Knights who don't wind up dead are the ones inherently sympathetic to the New UN Government (Master Hermann, Theo and Xao Jussila, and Bogue Con-vaart).  Prince Heinz can't exactly be held accountable since he's all of nine years old and has just been manipulated as his father's puppet, then Roid's.  Then there's the economic and political ramifications of their actions I've outlined before... they're NOT going to have a good time after the war, even assuming the New UN Forces don't show up en masse and occupy their planet.

Honestly I figured Roid maneuvered the king as well, especially considering what happened in ep 13.

I love that the heroes in Frontier killed the villains. I hate that the villains in Δ got away with everything and kept their pitiful lives.

Oh yeah and it's dumb that 7 ended with the main villain keeping his stolen body.

The main villain in Delta didn't live, he died in the last episode or if your referring to Windmere as a whole, they are going to die a slow death since the galaxy as a whole knows what they tried to do.

That would be nice. I didn't get the chance to listen to that song in good quality

Same, though I have the single bookmarked on CDJapan. Once it gets nearer I'll place another music order.

  5. From the imagery it seems to be linked to the premiere of "Good Job", it was a duo from the Skytree event earlier this year. Seems that Uta might be getting it (be it in a shorten form) prior to the single release which is next month.

I'm really glad I don't do CBSAnalAccess… Thank you, Capt. those videos are quite eye opening to the mess Star Trek is... the funny thing? NO MENTION  of Star Trek Online. I suppose it's because the game is most certainly not cannon but... is there any official comment?

I doubt it. Since STO is on it's own timeline they basically are just needing CBS's ok to use assets (ie ship designs and character likeness) for their own stories.  Honestly it it would sell I'm sure the Cryptic Team would have wanted to do B5 Online instead as several story arcs are very close to that series instead of star trek.

At least the game is doing ok and giving old (and new with the next chapter) actors new work.

    - Giant Robo (BD)

    - Galaxy Express TV (BD)

    - Godmars

    - Voltes V

    - Kimagure Orange Road (BD)

    - Baldios TV

    - Area 88 OVA

My sister tweeted me about this, Area 88 is on our must have list as UN Squadron was one of the most played games on our SNES growing up. Only Secret of Mana had more screen time.

Much like the USS Vengeance in Star Trek: Into Darkness, a completely over-the-top warship built in secret and meant to go toe-to-toe with entire fleets on a mission of approximate genocide.

      Reveal hidden contents

The Furious Abyss, the first of three Abyss-class super-dreadnoughts secretly commissioned by the XVII Legion primarch Lorgar and Fabricator General Kelbor-Hal.  The Abyss-class massively outclassed the Gloriana-class super-battleships that served as Astartes Legion flagships at the time.  They were built to overcome the orbital defenses of the Imperium's most secure worlds through sheer brute force, and equipped with state-of-the-art, experimental, and illegal tech.

It may have been the inspiration for the Planet Killer, and its captain was just as inept as our boy Failbaddon.

I had a feeling that was the vessel you were talking about. Only issue was that it wasn't a secret construction. Most of the Jovian yards knew of it and was proud of it. Granted the most of locals didn't know how it was ultimately used. But it was widely known during construction.

Edit: I will own up to my mistake. Did a little research and guess I didn't remember correctly. The celebration was of the construction crews, but their project was black.

It's a popular trope... it was also used in Warhammer 40,000's Horus Heresy series, except the secret shipyard was built into the (very real) Jupiter-orbiting asteroid 279 Thule.

What was built there? Only up to Shadows of Treachery, yes I'm waaaayy behind.

You said it. I remember trying to watch Gatchaman Crowds and being unable to stomache it.

A lot (sometimes insane amount) of detail went into the artwork in some of those shows in 80s. Paul "Otaking" Johnson said as much in one of his youtube videos.

If you havent already you should check out his short animated TIE fighter and Dr. Who films on youtube.

His animated version of level one of R-Type is really good too, minus the cheesy dialog.

Given what's been said in recent days in this thread and elsewhere, I'm increasingly convinced older fans in the west have simply outgrown Macross.  Or, rather, that Macross has outgrown those fans.  I think it safe to say that this new series will not satisfy them.  The last thing we need from Macross is for it to indulge in Gundam-esque stagnation or regression, and that seems to be a popular demand from the older fans in the west.

Agreed, I'm really hoping the new series is in line with Kawamori's air show competition idea. That way we can get some interesting mecha/plane sequences and if they have a band for entertainment then there is our music. Pretty much what I like about Macross, mecha action and concerts.

  12. So we let my room mate pick most of this season.

    Monday
    Drop Kick the Devil
How not to summon an Overlord
    Angels of Death

    Thrusday
    Overlord
    Attack on Titan
    Cells at Work
    My Hero Academia

Only really interested in Overlord and if the story arc of AoT is to be what it is I'm pushing for the dub so I can paint and listen.

Rest not so much with a bit of disdain for How not to summon, if I didn't already know how this series was I swear just based on sound they were watching a hentai.

Hey, that's still a 100% net increase in the number of functional moral compasses aboard the USS Discovery.

Pike's a stand-up officer with an impeccable record.  He is absolutely slumming it by letting himself be temporarily reassigned to the Discovery.  If it weren't so technologically advanced I'd say it was Star Trek's version of the Soyokaze from Irresponsible Captain Tylor.

I'll have to keep an ear out on the course S2 takes then, because if they end up pulling a Captain Taylor for this I will sign up for a trail month just to see that.

I haven't bothered watching any of it yet, but I might do the same.  Curious to see how bad season one is, only because I want to see what's going on with 1701.

Hate to break it to you, but it was just eye candy and to drop off Pike to the Discovery so he can command it for season two.

    The first episode/Pilot was different.

The first half afterwards contained episodes ranging from okay to good.

The second half was lost and confused.

Macross Delta = Star Wars The Last Jedi?

Macross Delta > Star Wars The Last Jedi

Delta was put together way better then TLJ, also at least for Delta you can just stop at ep 13 and be fine. TLJ makes you sit through it's garbage to get to the good parts.

If all the valks have full armor in the movie, be sure that bandai will milk us to the max with all the armor variants. After all it’s jusg repaints of the same thing.

Something I'm fine on, I already planned to get the VF-31S in armour and just transfer it to my 31C
