  1. This is the only VF-1 I have seen where the yellow markings really stand out. They usually just blend into the white and blues of other VF-1's.

Just grabbed two...up late doing work to prep for Monday and decided to check.
  3. This is incredible.... The gap you see on the bottom is just the landing gear up replacement tab that is not all the way clicked in. The missiles, pilots, Tampo, cockpit, this thing is solid. even has clear and painted parts for the flir and TV pod on the nose

I just noticed that as well. The antenna on each super pack is absent in. I wonder why such liberty was taken with making the toys of the ve-1 vs how accurate they made the recent vf-1's from DYRL
  5. Peel the sticker up with a hobby knife and use the hobby knife to position / lay the sticker. I would trim the hell out of them also before putting them on.

We are seeing the emergence of the most complete line of Macross Toy's that people will be trying to piece together for another decade. Mark my word.
  7. Agreed, changes everything for me. Could be the best ever platform for a premium version. A lot of size.
  8. I looked close at the photos on NY and I see very minimal Tampo on this thing over the previous version. It has essentially what was Tampo on the Yamato and the Arcadia combined, like they went in an added what used to be on the Yamato like UN Spacey on the legs. I hope they provide updates of a lot of Tampo because outside of the nose and a few bits of writing on the leg, this doesn't even approach the 0-S decal sheet. Seems like the 1-S's followed the decal sheet and made it Tampo, I don't see that here so far. but, I bought one.
  9. Well... I'm selling one MIB for 325 shipped on here.
  10. This happened to my 25F. I'm going to disassemble it and try my modeling at what would essentially be a modern high complete model at that point.
  11. It's primary purpose is an armor plate for battroid to protect the pilot, but Hikaru went Macgyver and activated it in fighter and called it a heat shield. Because it was badass, the term sticks I guess. What is more badass is that Roy was able to fly into space after saving Hikaru and his girl in a naked VF-1S with no booster or super pack.
  12. My thoughts on purchase consideration is the condition of the toy 1-2 years after opening. The DX Renewal 25 series defines a mortal toy. Out of the box, it's clean and articulated and the 25 you love. It gets all the ladies and drives a sports car, it's in its prime. Then, the DX paint will chip at the metal shoulders and intakes, and without a perfect match paint doctor, the young DX enters its 30's and wants to settle down. It takes two days now to recover fully from a hard night out drinking. Then, the hips will loosen to the point they just flop, the DX took its youth for granted and can't just miss the gym without consequences like it used to. The DX can't believe it injured itself busting out a transformation into battroid like it's done a million times before. There is no more putting it off, the DX has to have reconstructive surgery on its joints. It finds a great doctor who uses a proven technique using future polish or other medium to resurface the joint and give it back some strength. The doctor was clear though, his joint is functional again, but he has to be careful going forward because the joint can weaken fast and then will likely require other surgeries. The DX is happy, spirits lifted as it can stand once again with purpose, but then it looks in the mirror and notices the chips and scars from the surgery, that screw is stripped a little now, and no matter what others say, The DX knows it's hips just don't line up as even as they once did. The shoulders will suffer the same fate. They will flop to where a gun cannot be held up. A new technique involving the shoulders is being used but the doctors say the outcome is very similar to the hip resurfacing. This will all happen and a great supportive medical community will keep offering the most up to date surgery techniques to keep the DX's life as functional as possible. Having a DX is like having a child that you will need to care for the entire duration of its life. Make sure you are committed.

    Anyone see this preorder coming?
  14. Thanks man, I never discovered that articulation until you said that. I popped that shoulder pad off and right there was the sliding channel inside of it to move up and down.
  15. Just noticed the articulation on the arm will be better than Arcadia. The lateral movement will swing out because the bandai doesn't close up the shoulder pad all the way down on the outside. They left a gap for the arm to swing out. The Arcadia comes all the way down.
  16. The Bandai is badass in its proportions. It looks like a machine of war. If they DX the VF-1 and it has ratcheted hips, every Premium Version I have and V2 VF-1 is out the door in favor of Bandai.
  17. Fighter : Vf-0S Gerwalk : VF-25S with gunpod on the centerline. Battroid: VF-1S Roy
  18. If the hips are not ratcheted, this thing will be loose after a year due to its size. I hope they carry over the ratchets of the 31.
  19. Yes, I think they could do it. They could do undergating and a variety of other techniques that are affordable. I still love these Toys and buy them on release everytime and always will. I just think they could elevate their fit and finish to minimize them.
  20. Building Gunpla now for 2 years, and now the nub marks stand out on all of my Bandai, Yamato, and Arcadia, Valks. I will still always get them, but at this price point, we shouldn't have nub marks like those on the arms of the 1J. Excellent photo's as always man.
  21. Ordered 2...1 just to keep in the collector grade. This really completes the evolution of the VF-1. Roy's F-14, Roy's VF-0, Roy's VF-X, Roy's Low viz VF-1S (The VF-x fully converted to a VF-1S, and then the legendary Roy Skull 1 in white.
  22. If I see what I think I see on here, It shows that a VF-1 from Arcadia looks pretty good with a semi-gloss or gloss finish.
  23. Frontier had some of its original design focused on returning to basics such as aircraft design and war weaponry and tactics. It was essentially a rebound from the stretches they made with the speaker attacks and guitar pilots of Macross 7. Delta looks like it bounced back to the framework of 7 so hopefully we see another rebound and things get a little more conventional. Music and the unconventional will always be part of every Macross story line, I just think its like seasoning. A little goes a long way, too much.... and few can hold it down without vomiting it back out and into the toilet.
