I have the chrome version stand and either the navy blue or grey stand.

I’m planning on watching Stardust Memory when I land back home Thursday.

I think HMR and the 1/72 vf-1 models were basically released to fund research and design of the DX VF-1.  The extra extension at the intakes is from the model and there are many elements of HMR in the transformation of the DX.  HMR would cut into sales of more premium pricing on the DX.  

It’s a damn shame, but I think when we saw the paint scheme change on the VF-4, we also saw the death of HMR.

it’s obviously just an opinion, but ever since the DX line started rolling, HMR started dying.

If you have 4 detolfs, Lay a fifth detolf  horizontally across the top, it should line up perfect.  You just have to use some type of adhesive or attachment to keep the glass shelves from falling since they will be vertical.  And you would want to mount it so the door opens up and not down.

Canned air is what I use.  I also use it on parts, just before painting to remove dust

I have a winner.

This is the biggest risk going forward to places that require pre order payments 6 months in advance. By the time the release date comes, if they don’t ship it, you have already exceeded the PayPal claim window.

Don’t deal with them at all or they will issue you a store credit and then your essentially letting the people who never shipped the item in the first place to keep your money with an IOU.  Send one email to NY asking about your order not shipping and state that you will not accept store credit, then only deal with PayPal going forward.

Hey everyone:

I got my three orders refunded today from Nippon Yasan after filing my PayPal dispute about a month ago.  I just wanted to see if anyone else has DX VF-1S Roy’s not shipping and to let you know that you will get you refund as long as you didn’t let NY run out the clock by paying the pre-order so early that you exceed the PayPal deadline for disputes.  They refunded me for 2 Roy’s, extra shipping, and the TV Super Parts.

If yours did ship, then I am happy some got them.  Take care.

Roy doesn’t need fast packs.  He was able to fly into space from earth while carrying a 1D fuselage without any booster of any kind.

Site lenses for Zaku’s on eBay, they come on what looks like a sticker sheet, not the ones with metal parts.

I agree with the Hikaru 1A release being imminent.  I’m of the opinion that Bandai did not plan it that way, not saying you do think it was planned.

They made a straight forward mistake on the red circle numbers in the strike packs.  They  just...overlooked it.  Occam’s Razor.
 

It almost has to be a SSP bundle because it’s going to be impossible to source SSP’s each time they release a fighter of skull squadron in the future.  
 

But hey, we are all lucky that we have Nippon Yasan to count on.  We can always count on them....

I didn't do anything special to the missiles., just paint from a airbrush that needed to be cleaned.  I wish I had the attention to detail that you have.  I'd like to see what you did the DX missiles, you should post some pics.

Just making sure things are clear, I in know way critiqued your work in a negative light. Your detail is much better than mine.  
 

Somehow your photo makes the tips of the missiles look like a different color.

attached are photos of the missiles with seeker heads, I really think it brings them to life.  But again this isn’t a “you should have done this”

Is that one straight or also misaligned?

Not sure.  I’ve never taken it out of fighter. I’ve only inspected all of my toys over the last few years, waiting to move into a new home.  Finally, we are.

Just checking in case I can give you good news, did you confirm that the waist is not slightly swiveled to the left?  I’m asking because it looks like the black heat shield isn’t lined up with the black part on the lower fuselage. (The anti glare section for the pilot) between the two Yaw vernier’s.  If the waist was accidentally not set straight by Bandai, it might be great news for you if all you need to do is turn it.

not sure, but I thought it’s worth a shot to check.

The bottom edge of the logo is not level at all, and trying to level it based on that will give you the infamous tilted skull we've had for years.  The bones are also not centered on the skull, so printing the logo based on centering it from the widest point will give you just about the same amount of off-centered-ness you see on your Roy.

You are correct with your description and graphic measurement.

I think his is way off center though.  I’ll check mine tomorrow, if we find that it’s release wide and off center that much for all DX Roy’s, I’ll sell both of mine immediately and wait for the movie version.
