Finally finish the strike pack. Added the boosters and panel the lines for the UN Spacy. Next update should be the finish kit!!!

Started the applying the decals. As you can see I painted Tamiya Smoke for burnt effects. Came out pretty good, can't wait to see what it looks like when I put it all together.

Well back, here you can see I painted the boosters. Again I used Alclad Steel for the base, then use Alclad Jet Exhaust for exhaust marks.

Wow these look pretty good, have mine on preorder.

Man more I look at this kit, the more I want it. Hmmmm should I or shouldn't I. Maybe I'll wait and see how WM Cheng turns out, he said he'll do a step-by-step with this kit.

Here I painted the parts, I use Tamiya Medium Blue and Flat Blue. After the paint dried I applyed a thin coat of Semi-gloss, then I panels the lines with black oil paint. Then I dry brush sky blue, this makes the parts pop out. Here I tape the area I didn't want to paint. I airbrush Alclad steel, then peel off, looks good. Almost finished!!!

Here you can see I primer the parts and ready for paint.

Back, sorry it took long, been busy, WOW Macross F was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Well back to my model. Here I started the strike pack, first I cut off the parts and dry fit. Here you see I cut off this pieace so I can fit the booster after I paint it, makes it easier. Here I mod this part looks pretty cool.

Ok got it, all I had to do is turn off the BDLIVE. WOW blu-ray is a HUGE difference then DVD!!!!!!

Really?! hmm when I put disk 1 in, all I get is iron man chest logo in the middle of the screen, do you get the same thing?

Hmm pick my copy at fry's electronics today I think I got a bad blu-ray disk, disk 1 doesn't work, disk 2 works fine. I heard that they recalled some disks before the release, I think I got a copy that fry's didn't return, need to take back. I have a Paschee as while, but I use my Iwata airbruch more. I highly recommend Iwata, no plastic parts, all metal or copper.

It's on the missle that Ozma fired at Alto during the fight.

Anybody catch this in episode 22? I re-watch the episode and I saw this!!! It's between the fight with Ozma and Alto, after Ozma say "I'm a MAN"

Remember in ep 10 they showed the "U.N. Spacy" logo, so I don't think they show it in the US.

Well I'm back finally finish the decals, looks good so far, still need to do a few touch up, but other then that I'm happy how it came out. As you can see I made sure that the landing gear is flush with the nose and legs, I'm very happy how that came out. The first picture is the PE for the grill on the leg, I decided to use the red decals for the fins. Now time to start the strike pack!!!

WOW now that's a cool minmay figure!!! Like the face, finally a figure that looks like she's singing.

Any pics yet? Can't wait to see what they look like.

Thanks for all the feedback everybody, so far it's a great kit to put together. Yeah that Alclad stuff is great don't need to thin it out, just put into your airbrush and go at it. Here I decided to airbrush the tail, they come with a decals but it easier to paint, now I'm trying to decided to paint red on the edges or apply the decals. The decals for Hikaru plane is red but the trick is getting the right color for red, have to play around with the color and see. First I taped off all the areas that I didn't want to paint then airbrush Tamya Black X-1, after I let that dry overnight I peeled back the tape, came out pretty good, nice and clean.

Well you can see I masked off the areas I didn't want to paint, then airbrush "steel" Alclad. Airbrush the gunpod with Alclad "steel" and used "jet exhaust" for burnt marks for effected. Finally took of the masked areas to see if I missed anything, so for it looks good!!
