Box art notwithstanding, Max is looking good! Almost makes me wish I'd gotten one. Though with limited space at this point, I'm going to stick mainly with HMR. Just wish Bandai had used the same color scheme on the HMR.
For the toys themselves, is Arcadia's blue and red for Max and Milia essentially the same as Yamato's?

Sorry to hear that. Thankfully mine just made it out yesterday. Though I did use SAL, so it will still be a while before I get them.

And while NY typically does that (offer items at much higher prices after the initial PO is over and regular stock has come in) they have very little competition on these since there were exclusives.
Speaking of PO, the HMR Elint Seeker seems to still be available for Y7990 at MyKombini.

Preparation in progress from NY on my missile regults!
And @sh9000's armored CF 1A is incredible. Agreed that Bandai should eventually do this one.

I mean coming out in that I mean it's being released on that day. Pre-orders for it were months ago.
Thanks. And for some reason, I read your post as referring to VT-1, which I didn't think had been formally announced yet. Must not have been awake enough earlier.

I do remember the VE-1 PO back a few months ago.

By coming out, you mean PO date? If so, that would be awesome! You happen to have a link for that news?
And @sh9000 -- I'll just say that your collection is an inspiration to me, I'm impressed at the deals you find, and I really like where you're going with that custom CF armor. Looking forward to seeing it complete.

I don't know that much about Minecraft, but this appears to be an incredibly ambitious project. Very impressive!

I'm reasonably impressed with what I'm seeing so far on this, especially if the price ends up below $100. The sculpt looks good to me. I think I could do wothout the light gimmicks, and the 1/72 scale is a bit odd, but I'll be curious to see how this plays out.

So does NY tend to ship out in sequence based on when the preorder was placed? I haven't seen anything yet from them on the missile Regults, but I also placed my PO a couple weeks after many of you likely did.

Agreed, the art is nice. And seems they packed pretty efficiently for space. I was wondering how large the box would need to be for these.

I like it, too. Have you considered making custom squadron logos for the FAST packs to match those in the movie?

Bought a HMR VF-1J. It's my second VF-1 from this line (I have a CF VF-1A). I'm in this line for the Destroids and enemy mecha, but wanted another VF-1. It's a fun toy for its size!!!
Cool, and yes the HMR VF-1 is fun. You gotta have at least a few valks to keep those destroids company!
And I am just was amazed as @no3Ljm as to where @sh9000 keeps finding those HM super parts.

Me too. And judging by the fact that these are what appear after the HMR logo (but before the DX logo) it would seem to suggest these are upcoming releases!

Ha ha! I'm not sure I would be quite that upset, but the 1D is definitely near the top of my most-wanted HMR list.
I think Bandai will eventually do it, but I also don't think it will be any time soon. Since it looks so similar to the VT-1, I think they would wait a while before releasing the VF-1D. Assuming the VT-1 actually gets a release date in the near future...

Totally agree. Ideally they'd include Hikaru and Minmay in flight suits, as well as the Hikaru and Misa shown.
Either way, it's cool to finally see figures in there. Come on, preorder!

So it would appear that NY as usual has the best price for the Hikaru 1A -- Y8720 shipped via SAL?

My understanding (based on photos I've seen thus far) is that there will be no strike cannon. We had discussed a few pages back how it would be cool if Bandai would include parts to convert into VF-1S strike, but I don't see that happening.

@sh9000 -- That is a whole lot of Macross! Very impressive. I bet it's even more impressive in person.

I'm looking for a loose set of the blue super/strike parts that come with Bandai Hi-Metal R VF-1S toys. Ideally they would have the red skull emblem (from Hikaru) but I'd be open to black skull logos (from Roy) as well.
If you have a set to offer, please PM me what you have and your asking price. I'm really just after the strike parts, but if the only way you'd part from them is to sell me the entire HMR Roy or Hikaru, I might go for it if the deal is good enough.

The VF-2SS is looking cool. Almost making me wish I'd gotten one, but I'm OK sticking with SDFM (and some DYRL) right now.
The Hikaru VF-1A is an unexpected announcement to me. Interesting they would bring out another re-release of an original Hi-Metal before the new pieces that everyone's been wanting for months. If they hadn't already produced the 1S version, I think the swappable parts would have made sense. I just wish Bandai hadn't gone with the gray they're using for DYRL releases.
I think any future HMR announcements will be May or later, as it's likely too close to February already.

I think we discussed the Regult markings back around PO time but I can't remember any conclusions.
Thinking it was about that time of the month for another HMR PO, I noticed that Bandai is releasing a Blader from Technopolis 21C for May, so I'm guessing no new Macross HMR until next month, likely for a June release.
