The second episode was pretty weak.

I saw an acutal Swindle Jeep the otehr day on the road.  I didn't know that had actually released a Wrangler in that wretched color, but they did.  It was right after I finally found a Swindle Alt too!

I think the only Jeeps I've seen in Swindle's color were stock. No large tires, or brush gaurd. I've seen Grimlock cruising around, a couple times, though.

Yellow Jeeps are the same around here too. My Jeep looks alot like Hound(with bigger tires) and there's a Streak, Tracks and Meister all within a 2 miles of my house.

Hik's first valk is the VT-102 but we know it as the VF-1D.  Was the VF-1D originally intended as a trainer but became a fighter due to the needs of the fierce combat with the Zents?

We go through this every six months but that's okay.

Actually, Hikaru's 1D was actually VT-1023. It's just the number of the plane not a new model. while that particular 1D was a trainer other 1D's are shown through out the series in standard paint schemes in combat.

Was it also called a cyclone in Mospeada?

hey guys check this out appearently there are now HK bootlegs of binaltech showing up one ebay, they look very similar to the original and even have diecast metal on them.

they are called Metals Transform Cars, here is one of Hound.

damn, those bootleggers done wait to pounce. Just by judging from the pictures in the auction, the bootleg looks better than the original.

You really think that looks better? The details on the original are much sharper. It looks like the boot is a sloppy re-cast. It looks good for it's price but the original looks better to me.

upon closer inspection, the bootleg still looks better to me. The details are sharper on the original, but i think the bootleg has shinier black parts with make it look better. Just in those pictures. But of course, if I actually had them in my hands, im sure the knock off would not be as good as the Takara.

I hear ya. The metalic color is pretty nice on the boot as well. I don't think I'd buy one unless it was a different color than the originals though.

Is Gatchaman very different from Battle of the Planets? I tried to watch BOTP a few days ago for the first time in 20 years and it was so awful I couldn't finish the first episode. The animation looked pretty good but the story and dialogue suked donkey balls.

First comes the disclaimer. I'm a vintage kind of guy. I'd say the best bang for your buck if you want an H&K is a G3/HK91 or a Cetme. They may not be the latest or the most high tech but they're good sturdy straigh shooting rifles. FALs are probably my 2nd favorite rifles next to the M-14. I currently have an StG-58 Austrian liscenced FAL that I in love with. It's a para model with side folding stock and 16" barrel. It shoots 1" groups at 400m. It doesn't seem that heavy to me but then again I lugged an M-14 and later an M-21 through just about every terrain imaginable for 7+ years.

Have you guys seen the F-104 from 21st C. It's supposed to have working surfaces and the whole works. I'm not even really into toy or model planes and I'm seriously considering getting this one. Can you add the black shapes for the chest and top of the head since these kits will have to be painted?.

Can the black shapes on the chest be recessed so they have some depth?

And where did you get this notion? There is nothing about this in the movie. BOB tells the crew of the Palomino that Reinhardt killed McCrea's father. If you are referring to the scene at the end where the Cygnus is burning in Hell, where a face is behind Maximillian's shell, that is in fact Reinhardt.

Apparently I pulled this notion straight out of my ass. That's how I remember it but I havn't seen it in 20+ years so I have no idea what I'm talking about as usual. I only remember Vincent because I used to doodle him all over my desk in the 3rd grade.

I just read Dirk's article. I didn't get the impression that he wanted to be Starbuck again. It seems to also go a bit deeper in that he sees the new Galactica a a reflection of the changes in our society which he finds unfavorable. They've taken a charachter he obviously spent alot of time and effort bringing to life and ruined it in his eyes. I have to say I wasn't thrilled to find out Starbuck was a chick either but I've gotten over it.

only bootlegs i remember are the joons, Transformable Galaxy Warrior,  and I think its called robot jet too bad I can't look at the old boards since I think somebody post a picture of it here.

oh and that one with the 2 led in the cockpit.

it was called the "galaxy defender" and it sold for like $10 at target and walmart....they might still have some since the toys were kind of an eye sore.

and yes, i remember the valk with the LED cockpit. the only redeeming quality that made it worthwhile was to get the gunpod/clip and missiles.

Removeable heatshield, heh...

It'll transform perfectly with the heatshield in place, thank you very much. And it WILL come molded in color to prevent paint scratching... Beige or light grey; just specify which variant you're doing when you order (1st ep. version, or Virgin Road ver.) and I'll cast it directly in the specific color. Should you wish to paint the parts just the same, you can always do so; that remains at the discretion of the customer.

Shouldn't it be blue for the "virgin road" version? I believe that was a 2 seater version of Max's 1J, but I could be wrong.

Probably because Hatch wanted nothing to do with this new series. He absolutely hated the idea of a reinvisioning, untill he actually saw it. After he saw the mini-series, he really liked what they were doing with it. They would never have gotten him on board for the mini-series.

I wouldn't be surprised if his character makes more attempts to "free his people."

I'd still like to Dirk Benidict show up, for at least one episode. The big comeback.

I've only ever seen transformers the movie which is what got me hooked when i think i was about 7 yrs old.

Ultra Magnus is completey diff in the movie, in the series does his "brain" get put into primes body and he gets a new paint job???

I don't think they ever showed Magnus in bot mode without his armor but I didn't watch the cartoon too much. I just liked the toys.

Is Hatch's charachter going to be in more episodes or was that a one time deal?
