The cockpit doesn't go anywhere. The chestplate slides down over the top half and the heatshield extends down over the rest. If I understand your question correctly. All of the toys do that. It's a key part of the transformation.

Matsushiro made the first Jetfires. This custom looks good but he needs to fix the paint on the nose. The red should cover the entire top of the fuselage. he did say that he hasn't finished the job yet... yeah, I know. I'm not putting it down. I was just pointing it out in case he'd missed it. I'm kind of a Jetfire freak which makes me sorta picky.

Does that go for ALL AR-10s, or just the original Armalite rifles? I ask because nearly everybody in the AR field seems to make an AR-10 as well as an AR-15 these days. I don't know enough about all of the manufacturers but GI rifles use the molded parts and my Colt AR15 was the same until I had a local gunsmith replace the guts with parts he machined himself. Of course my Colt is older than I am. It doesn't even have a forward assist. Js probably knows more.

My Pops has an AR-10. I think it's the AR-10B. It's OK but nothing special. The main problem I see with ARs is that they don't wear well. The internal components are made of heat treated powdered steel rather than milled from a solid block so they're hard on the outside and soft in the middle. Once they start to wear a little they get sloppy fast.

I would think that the small retro-thrusters located on the sides of the intakes would not be powerful enough to stop the VF-1 in a carrier landing in fighter mode. Of course as others have said, why not just land in Gerwalk mode? Graham Come to think of it they do land in gerwalk mode in one of the early eps before the carriers were attached. I don't think any landings are show after that though.

since the VF-1 is designed for space it has retro thrusters so would it even need a tailhook? I would think it could stop itself.

One of mine is cracked at the center but it still plays fine. I think Animego used a second rate manufacturer. I had to send my Crusher Joe DVDs back three times for manufacturing defects.

They do mount them on Hummers on rare occasions. The problem is carry enough ammo. Especially since Ma-deuce (.50 cal M2) does more damage with fewer rounds. The Mk. 19 automatic grenade launcher is even more brutal. Minis are mostly used on aircraft because it allows the gunner to get more rounds on target without the pilot having to slow down or fly straight. Hummers don't really move that fast so the high rate of fire is wasted on them. I think the gun in T2/Predator is the same as the gun in the video. There's another version called a microgun that fires 5.56 rather than 7.62. The predator gun could have been one of those.

I think that valk model is the Bandai kit from 85. The Alpha looks cool except the skulls need to be on the tail fins instead of the wings.

Hey, you want a better image of that weapon? Let me figure out what I did with my original issue Marine Corps Guidebook. It's listed in the book. I also had the honor of firing one of the last remaining launchers still in stock with the Corps back in '83 while in Infantry Training School. Yep, the Corps is old school when it comes to weapons. I think the Army got rid of theirs before we did. The damned thing had the loudest report of any rocket I fired, and I thought the ground based TOW and Dragon launchers were bad. Wow that's really cool! So what's the impact radius? Some pics would be cool yeah I got to fire one of these during the "weapons familiarization" portion of ranger school. IIRC it fires M235 incendiary rockets with an effective blast radius of about 20 meters. It's basically used against soft targets like infantry of un-armored vehicles/structures.

You capped him? I figured that'd be a waste of bullets, so I went with the dynamite/bait route. You see, that's what I don't understand - if s/he can still handle a gun, I'd tell them to put a bandaid over it and quit their whining, see if we can find a cure lieing around if the case may be. When friends finally turn over, aren't they usually kind enough to give obvious signs of it, like a prolonged-death-sequence or maybe a good-ol'-fashioned first zombie scream? I mean, I don't remember it ever being the biggest surprise when it goes down. Then it's really just a bullet to the head and that's that. Hot lead is the cure.

My Matsushiros say "space fighter" on the box. They also say "starforce" at the bottom. All of my Joons say "macross" or "space gandam". I dunno if that helps you any.
