  1. On the downside, it's not very massive. And spraying beactor byproducts out the back is a really bad idea in an atmosphere(if you thought anti-nuke protestors were bad now...). Hence the need for a seperate propellant that can be heated by the reactor and expelled out the back.

I think your thinking of fission reactors. Fusion engines would produce no radioactive waste. That's why every one wants them so badly. ;)

  2. It is interesting in that you can tell that they were debating how much to animate (at least that's my interpretation of the boxes).

In the end, I don't think they animated any of it. Did they ever show a VF-1S with the seat emerging from the neck in the TV series? I know they showed a VF-1D.

It has a strike cannon on it's back. It's from the escape scene just before Roy gets it in DYRL.

  3. 12 hours of Tolkien? yes. :)  12 hours of Peter Jackson? No way in hell!

It's LoTR, Not Dead Alive(Brain Dead to some) or Bad Taste. I wouldn't wish a marathon like that on anyone, any they barely hit the three hour mark put together :lol:

I'm actually a big fan of those two movies but I don't like Jackson's LOTR. :( I've spent years in my head building an image of what LOTR should look like and it doesn't mesh well with these movies. I feel no hostility towards PJ but his movies offend my sense of what Tolkiens world should look like. PJ should stick to what he does best, cheesy gore flicks. :)

  4. It would be silly to share my one tape Opus ^_^ However I will be copying the episodes into high quality MPEG4 or some such thing, then uploading them to servers. I'll send you a cd or two with the episodes on it. Keep in mind, these are /old/ TV rips! The quality is what I would consider "typical fansub". Grainy, few anomalies, little sound weirdness, but you can still see everything and its still plenty watchable. Perfectly 'accapetable', but definitely not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

Sorry, I meant to say that if you copy them I'd like to get one. VCDs are fine with me since any quality is better than nothing at all. :)

  5. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Kawamori actually had nothing to do with Dorvack. :( Does that make it any less cool? No. :) As for the toys I have most of them. They're pretty good but not very poseable. You can expect to pay around $200 - $300 for a MIB 1/55. <_

  6. Look back a few posts for the rear shot of the VT-1 box. It clearly shows wing hardpoints on the craft.

Remolding the wings would be costly and unnecessary for Yamato, so it's not much of a surprise.

Ah, but the wings have been re-molded. The tips are different.
