  1. Meh, the .380 ACP (or 9mm Kurz for you German sprekenzies out there) is a weak round. Sure anything can kill ya but it won't necessarily "stop" someone. I'd say go for something with some ass behind it like a .40 S&W or a .45 ACP. They make lots of small C&C guns in those nice heavy stopping calibers these days.

    Not everyone buys guns with the intention of shooting people. I keep a Colt model M .32cal just for farting around cause it's fun to shoot. On the street I carry my PT-99 9mm or my Glock 30 .45ACP.

  2. u know, the F/A-22 was originally supposed to be a F-15 "upgrade"/redesign, but it didnt really fly with congress. My thinking is the F-18E/F is a "upgrade"/redesign that might as well be a totally different aircraft compared to the previous variants, so why did it get the congress OK, when the F-15F/ F/A-22 didnt at first?

    Because con-gress is the opposite of pro-gress. :huh::p:D:rolleyes: <_<

    I'm on a roll today.

    Here's a silly pic I found. I don't know who made it.

  3. hmm,nato 5.56.is that the round the new ak shoots? i heard that the ak was recently downgraded from 7.62 to 5.56 in an effort to try to increase range & accuracy :unsure:

    You're probably thinking of the AK-74, adopted in 1974,which fires a 5.45 mm. round. It is easily distinguished by it's orange bakelite mags. It really has nothing to do with range or accuracy it's more about the number of rounds a soldier can carry.

  4. the Skyraider would've saw action in WW2 had it lasted a couple more years, and the O-10 was one of the best planes for the Observer role and the calling in air support role whilist in the air.

    The OV-10 also has the advantage of being able to carry ordinace of its own (4x .30 cals and various rockets) as well as 5 trooper. It could also be converted into a flying ambulance. Very cool if you ask me.

  5. I hate shotguns but the thing about pistols is that they have too much penetrating power. You may end up killing someone in the next room by accident no matter how well trained you are.

    I work in bail enforcement and I carry my 9mm with me everywhere I go. I keep my mags loaded with standard FMJs but the round in the chamber is rubber. The few times I've been forced to fire that one rubber bullet has been sufficient to incapacitate the target without messy wrongful death lawsuits as it shows that my intent was not to kill. (I don't get paid unless I bring them back alive) Even if the rubber bullet doesn't do the job I know that I have 15 FMJs that will. ;)
