  1. I too like larger calibers. Right now I have a .45acp kimber and a remington 870 3.5". I think Im leaning twards a AK-47 (which is best to buy) or a M1A (308) or a HK G3

What are the pros and cons of both

7.62x39 and the NATO round, in both guns and ammo

AKs are too sloppy for me. They're great for full-auto but suck as a semi. If you get an AK avoid the Romanian stuff like the plague. There is a reason why they're so much less expensive. The M1A is excellent unless you're a liite guy then it can be somewhat unwieldy. The G3 is an excellent balance of size and power but you need to thoroughly inspect them before you buy one since most have seen 20-30 years of military sevice.

  2. cool, since this thread is back, I wanted to ask some "expert" opinions. Does anyone own a ruger mini-14 or mini-30 and whats thier opinion of it, Im kinda leaning twards the 14 as a plinker or the 30 for the NATO round and a bigger hit, that is the nato round isnt it, along with the .223 in the 14,,,,,this will be right after i buy the DE.50 (didnt realize how much cash I had without 2 house payments and loans) B))

I have both guns. The best thing about them is that thier easy to maintain. The 14 is the better of the two. I would avoid the 30 if I were you. Mine is very fickle and jams up alot. The 30 uses the 7.62x39 ammo where as the NATO round is 7.62x61. I'd suggest you get an M1 carbine instead. It's the action the minis are based on but a much better gun.

  3. Yeah but that is what most people think about picures of Agent ONE.  They think I'm a 3D render, just too perfect I guess.

Do we need to create an "Agent ONE talking crap about himself thread"?

Next thing you know, you'll be referring to yourself in the third person too.

Hey, don't worry about Agent ONE... Agent ONE is doin' OK!

Ugggh! Its Tiny all over again. <_< Oh yeah and I've got no use for transforming toys that don't transform. And the cartoon sucked because the characters looked almost nothing like the toys.

  4. Very simple. Fire... from candle light that fall off and roll towards the plane... so make sure your romantic night is not spoiled like mine...  <_<

    ...

I can't pork in front of my VFs... I always feel like Roy is looking at the lucky girl of the evening.

I find that my performance is enhanced by an audience.

If you look at pics of old WW@ aircraft you'll notice that they have lots of patches and mismatched parts from cannibalized wrecks. It might be cool to see a VF done the same way.

  5. Your choices are strange... Are you just asking from an exclusivity perspective?

yes, seems like some members dont be agree with yamato and bandai due they overproduce some items, just like CF. I think this is great because many of us have the opportunity to own more of each. Additionally they are the starting point to be a macross toy collectorr (like me :p )

    ...

Ok, I understand. The thing is some of us, like me, aren't toy collectors. I just like Macross, therefore making things more exclusive is kind of a pain as we wouldn't always be able to get what we want.

Holy crap! The Major and I agree on something. The apocalypse is nigh.

  6. Is the Kyosho the same as the Dragon micro armor?

Kyosho claims their tanks are around 1/55 scale (!) where the Dragon tanks are 1/72

Scale is the one thing that sucks about the Kyoshos. The're all about the same size making the Tiger a smaller scale than the Panzer A. :(

  7. Already have it. Sure it's bootlegs, but burn off a laserdisc and has the trailers and the SE documentary on it (from beginning of VHS). Not bad at all and holding me over until the official release (which I will no doubt be getting)...

Hmm.... Where would one "hypothetically" find one of these so called "bootlegs"? ;);)

  8. Hey Zentran... I just looked up a few sites selling kyosho pocket armours, and they go for like 86 bucks! Thats way outta my budget. I want something around 20 bucks. Nothing fancy. Doesnt have to have a rotating turret. Just something that works well and wont break and stuff. LOL ^_^ Im not gonna spend 80 bucks on something smaller than a hotwheels car ^__^

    -BEN-MAN-

They must have big matchbox cars wherever you are. Pocket Armors are 4 or 5 inches long. If you shop around you can get them for alot less. I paid about $35 for mine. ;)

  9. I'm thinking of experimenting with stripes on the arms and legs like the dryl schemes, and a cannon fodder scheme for the chestplate, wings and tail fins.

The stripes on the backside of the arm like the 1J would be better in my opinion. :)

  10. fat Minmay pop in and destroyed both jason and freddy

now thats a movie i would pay to see.

Only if Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen not that new crap) poped up an made a Halloween costume out of her skin only to be turned into a dwarf by the tall man.

  11. ...which came out a couple years before He-Man

    Interesting factoid about He-Man.

    IMDB.COM

The Mattel Toy Company started to make some Conan action figures, but after viewing the film, the executives realized that they couldn't afford to be associated with a film with such graphic sex and violence. They gave their doll blonde hair, called him "He-man", and thus created "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" (1983).

That gives He-Man a whole new meaning!!.

I had always suspected He-Man to be a mix of the 1980 version of Flash Gordon and Conan. All of the different races and the mix of technology and magic are very Flash Gordon-ish.

  12. Discipline is #1 for United States Marines. Training and physical endurance next. Technology somewhere after these... The only ones who are even close to resembling a US Marine were Hicks, Apone, Vasquez & her guy friend. The rest are barely fit for the Army... NONE of them showed any rudimentry understanding of small unit tactics or even basic military concepts. Much less common sense. ;)

They weren't US Marines. They were Colonial Marines and the colonies were founded by the corperations so in effect they were just mall cops on steroids. :p

  13. Is the Miata that little 2 seat convertible MG type thingy? If so you're very lucky to not be hurt. It may not be all bad though, Both of my cars got squished by a tree in the hurricane so I went out and bought a nice new-ish Jeep. Definately a step up from a '76 280z and a '85 prelude, neither of which had working heaters. :)
