  1. AKs are too sloppy for me. They're great for full-auto but suck as a semi. If you get an AK avoid the Romanian stuff like the plague. There is a reason why they're so much less expensive. The M1A is excellent unless you're a liite guy then it can be somewhat unwieldy. The G3 is an excellent balance of size and power but you need to thoroughly inspect them before you buy one since most have seen 20-30 years of military sevice.
  2. Everything you say is true but having carried an M-14 into combat I'm going to have to (forgive the pun) stick to my guns. And yes I'm biased.
  3. The AR-15/M-16 blows goats. There are lots of better rifles out there that can be had for a fraction of the price. The HK G3 and FN-FAL come to mind and if you want to spend some cash you can get an M-96 or my favorite the M1A(semi auto M-14).
  4. I have both guns. The best thing about them is that thier easy to maintain. The 14 is the better of the two. I would avoid the 30 if I were you. Mine is very fickle and jams up alot. The 30 uses the 7.62x39 ammo where as the NATO round is 7.62x61. I'd suggest you get an M1 carbine instead. It's the action the minis are based on but a much better gun.
  5. Do we need to create an "Agent ONE talking crap about himself thread"? Next thing you know, you'll be referring to yourself in the third person too. Hey, don't worry about Agent ONE... Agent ONE is doin' OK! Ugggh! Its Tiny all over again. <_< Oh yeah and I've got no use for transforming toys that don't transform. And the cartoon sucked because the characters looked almost nothing like the toys.

I can't pork in front of my VFs... I always feel like Roy is looking at the lucky girl of the evening. I find that my performance is enhanced by an audience. If you look at pics of old WW@ aircraft you'll notice that they have lots of patches and mismatched parts from cannibalized wrecks. It might be cool to see a VF done the same way.
  7. Perhaps you could make some vertical stableizers out of clear plastic to help preserve the VF-1's unique appearence?
  8. Get a Subsciption to Nintendo Power. That's what I did. It's $20. I'd have that paid for the bonus disk alone. http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/store...=ProductDisplay
  9. yes, seems like some members dont be agree with yamato and bandai due they overproduce some items, just like CF. I think this is great because many of us have the opportunity to own more of each. Additionally they are the starting point to be a macross toy collectorr (like me ) ... Ok, I understand. The thing is some of us, like me, aren't toy collectors. I just like Macross, therefore making things more exclusive is kind of a pain as we wouldn't always be able to get what we want. Holy crap! The Major and I agree on something. The apocalypse is nigh.
  10. I try to always represent all three modes. Did I mention I've been diagnosed with a mild case of obssesive compulsive disorder. I can't spell either.
  11. I'd want decals for the Hikaru 1J I plan to make when I get my re-cast from Rohby.
  12. It's best to let sleeping dogs lie or lying dogs sleep or someting like that. <_<
  13. Kyosho claims their tanks are around 1/55 scale (!) where the Dragon tanks are 1/72 Scale is the one thing that sucks about the Kyoshos. The're all about the same size making the Tiger a smaller scale than the Panzer A.
  14. Look on the second page of this thread. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=2571
  15. Hmm.... Where would one "hypothetically" find one of these so called "bootlegs"?
  16. They must have big matchbox cars wherever you are. Pocket Armors are 4 or 5 inches long. If you shop around you can get them for alot less. I paid about $35 for mine.
  17. Pocket Armors are very cool. Here's a pic of my (very dusty) early war Tiger I.

The stripes on the backside of the arm like the 1J would be better in my opinion.
  19. now thats a movie i would pay to see. Only if Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen not that new crap) poped up an made a Halloween costume out of her skin only to be turned into a dwarf by the tall man.
  20. Interesting factoid about He-Man. IMDB.COM That gives He-Man a whole new meaning!!. I had always suspected He-Man to be a mix of the 1980 version of Flash Gordon and Conan. All of the different races and the mix of technology and magic are very Flash Gordon-ish.
  21. It's actually spelled Sectaurs. I never had any of them but I remember there being a cartoon. Almost every toy in the 80's had a cartoon. A google search turns up lots of sites.
  22. They weren't US Marines. They were Colonial Marines and the colonies were founded by the corperations so in effect they were just mall cops on steroids.
  23. I like the spellings found here. Especially Bullitie. http://www.macross.co.jp/macross/contents/index.html
  24. Is the Miata that little 2 seat convertible MG type thingy? If so you're very lucky to not be hurt. It may not be all bad though, Both of my cars got squished by a tree in the hurricane so I went out and bought a nice new-ish Jeep. Definately a step up from a '76 280z and a '85 prelude, neither of which had working heaters.
