  1. Y'all are pathetic.

Without the French, the colonists would have had their asses whooped, you Americans would be British citizens or part of British territory, and I would be back in Viet Nam suffering the Communist rule.

Before you go bash the French, think about what they have done for you.

Ummm.... for staters lighten up dude it's just a joke. And as for the rest of that junk the US/Brits saved the Froggies from the Krauts twice so they I think the score is more than even if you want to play that game.

As for my personal opinion of the French, I could care less either way.

  2. PayPal doesn't happen to notice when you link both e-mails to the same checking account? If not, that might be the way to go. If they do, then how do you get your money from PayPal for the account you don't verify? Wait for a paper check in the mail?

My buddy and I just use each other's e-mail to tell people to send money to. Only problem is he can only receive $1K a month, so you have to be careful of abusing your friend's account (he's the one with the personal account), and there's that lag of getting a check from him.

And it's 3% if from US, 4% if not US. At least for US members.

You can back down to a personal account once. So if you've got a one-time thing going on, you can go that route. But only once.

Just get another email account. yahoo or hotmail or something. They're free.

  3. Also, most Bollywood films tend to focus on the colonial period of India (with the Indians usually triumphing over the Brits in some way).

Brit - "I claim India for Britain!"

Indian - "You can't claim us, we live here!. 500 Million of us!."

Brit - "Do you have a flag?"

After a hard day of putting babies on spikes there's no movie I enjoy more than "A Room With A View, Of Hell". :p

Ive never been able to sit through a whole Baliwood movie. They're pure cheese.

    LOL...

    Staircase of Satan!

    Pond of Death!

    Joo f**k my wife?

Hey Mr.March, do those stats include porn?

  4. Hi JS.

I'm guessing that the Five Seven would only really be good for plinking or target-shooting at that point, as the round ityself is so small and sharp that you'd basically have no stopping power whatsoever. Seems very controllable and precise though, from what I've read.

As for banning the Mini 14: your guess is as good as mine. The laws in Canada are written in such a way that they don't need to show just cause to ban a firearm; they need only DECIDE that the firearm in question is a menace and follow through to ban it. No explanations due. Unlike in the US, where the right to own/bear arms is precisely that: a right. Here in Kanada, gun ownership is a PRIVILEGE and can be revoked at anytime for pretty much any reason.

They've actually been at this for years now, and the only reason that really comes to mind is that like any repressive, self-serving government, it's in their own best interests to keep the masses weak, unarmed, and incapable of any sort of armed revolt. Otherwise, the tyrants would be out of a nice, cushy job.

Dude, you should just give up and defect to the states.

  5. Swords & glorified steak knives might have been good against unarmed or similarly armed peasants hundreds of years ago (or heck, against steak), but just short of being damn lucky, you won't win a fight against a guy with a 8-9 .40 slugs.

The scene when Harrison Ford shoots the sword-weilding arab in Raiders Of The Lost Ark comes to mind

I think you'd be surprised just how effective a sword can be. If a swordsman is close enogh to use his weapon he'll cut you up before you can aim. Knives are even more dangerous because the weilder can get right up against you where you can't get a shot.

when I think of swords vs. pistols Yojimbo comes to mind.

  6. You know, theyve been following alot of the original series storywise with the convicts and Starbuck and the Cylon Raider so the Pegasus is not an impossible dream. I think theyll wait until were bored with the current characters so the can bring in some freash meat AKA Sheeba. ;)

  7. Is it even possible to have 12 habitable planets in one system?

Opus, it might be possible to have twelves habitable planets in a solar system depending on how their orbits interact, but it is unlikely. Anyway, I believe they refer to it as a star system, which is different then a solar system. A star system is typically defined as all stars within a set distance, about five or ten light years IIRC. So, depending on where in the galaxy they are having twleve habitable planets inside of a ten light years sphere of space is entirely possible depending on how close the different star systems are.

    That makes sense.

  9. Man, people really blow Jar-Jar out of proportion... even 5 years later. I mean, when I first saw him in theatres I jumped on the bandwagon too. But now when I go back, he's in league with C-3PO and Chewbacca.

And I used to think you were cool.

    :o

    Annoying side-kicks... nothing more. :)

While he is severly annoying, C-3P0 isn't a sidekick. He and R2 are the focal point of the series. They're the only constant. They appear in all 6 movies. Star Wars is'nt about Jedi or the struggle of good againt evil, it's really all about two droids and the amazing things they've been witness to
