You've done a single vertical strip running down the front right hand side? I've been considering getting a pair to run then down the front two corners and shine them inward style of lighting on my cabinet.

Hi-Metal R..... their product line is only for the Macross series? Do they or will they ever make their 1/100 scale for the more recent series like Frontier etc? I accept that the DX 1/60 are different series... but is the HMR a 1/100 scale product line for any/all Macross across all generations?

Do this photo again with another less-busy background. It looks great!

4 left. I get it that it's an amazing size and would be a fantastic diaroma centrepiece but it's huge... you'd really need a big dresser or display cabinet top to display this properly. Oh.. and you'd need to also have no kids for little hands to go touching and poking at the thing!

2 weeks of delay. Seemingly no action taken by Nippon-Yassan representatives to update Japan Post of the need to amend address. I managed to call and was lucky to hit onto a person willing to help me from Australia Post on Friday. He interpreted "no unit number and/or street number" as not 2 items missing but probably just a 1 item missing from the address. He took the amendment for me and got it sent to the distribution centre. The package was attempted on Monday, I was too busy to pick it up on Tuesday and so I luckily was able to pick it up today. In my support ticket request to Nippon-Yassan, they stated that it "was definitely addressed correctly" and when I picked up the package, sure enough the label was absolutely missing the street address number. I took a photo of the postage label and updated my support ticket detailing to them the numerous phone calls, attempts to have Nippon-Yassan representatives to perform the address amendment to Japan Post and eventually getting it on a 2 week delay because of the incorrectly (and proven) label for postage. I asked in the ticket that this matter be taken to management that I should have some financial recompense for the mistake taken by Nippon-Yassan representatives to create the extra work from me as well as delay in shipping all due to a desire that I not have to pay for a second round of postage if it was sent back to sender because of the missing detail on the postage label. Anyway - here's a couple of concept shots I'm trying to do. Any thoughts toward what else I could do to improve on the concept a bit more?

What an ordeal. Nippon-Yassan detailed they've sent the missile effects set to me. A week later and seeing that the package had arrived in Brisbane, it sat in a location for 2 days. Nothing. No update. No delivery. I called Australia Post and was told that it was missing vital addressing details and that the only way that it could arrive to me was if N-Y updated Japan Post so that JP could in turn amend the addressing details. An organisation like JP, I would expect to turn this around very quickly... so a ticket was opened at N-Y and I get a response that the amendment request has been made with the post office. A week and 5 continuations on the ticket later with N-Y saying they've sent an update to JP there is still no movement. They claim that it was addressed correctly. All feeling I had was that the update request wasn't carried out. Today I finally got to someone at Australia Post who was willing to do the change on my behalf to ensure that the return-to-sender process wasn't carried out and I'd be up for another postage cost to get it back to me. Hopefully I'll have them Tuesday...

The New and Improved "What's it worth???" Thread!!
dero replied to jvmacross's topic in For Sale & Trade
I have the exact same one in this link: https://www.manofactionfigures.com/products/robotech-macross-5-inch-1100-scale-transformable-series-4 From my reading up, it's manufacturer is Takatoku, branded as Toynami and had something around about a 2009 release date. 1/100 scale series and the unit is pretty much perfect. I pulled it out recently and tried to display the thing, the one and only problem with it was when I put the ball-joint peg onto the display arm, the peg snapped, I guess due to aged plastic. The figure itself is undamaged, the super parts are all a part of the pack. The sticker decals aren't applied to the figurine. Along with a valuation, where'd be a good place to find a buyer for this figurine? -
I've got a Toynami DYRL VF-1S I'd be willing to sell if you're interested. How do you identify whether or not it's the 30th anniversary version or not?

I'm in Brisbane. Just a short 7163km south of Tokyo... theoretically I guess if it was a direct courier without having to pass hands, it could get here in day of sending. I guess we're just so used to a lack of service these days that it's so surprising when the service is such a significantly high standard.

Paid - Friday Sent - Saturday Received - Monday Super quick processing to get it out to the customer. Thanks AmiAmi! The VF-31F Messer is the only Delta Valkyrie which I'll be getting. Here's a very quick and dirty photo of my playing with it last night seeing if I can get some sort of dynamic flight pose going.

All this debate about cost of shipping for an effective $250'ish (AUD) product... Whether the shipping is $25 or $50, it doesn't ultimately matter. Cost of shipping for me is always relative to the overall cost of the product. Shipping costs also include insurance and tracking of product. That's important if it's an expensive item.

These mobs... they are legitimate sellers or would they be sniping re-sellers? http://www.imageanime.com/dxchvfsimcup.html http://www.yesasia.com/us/dx-chogokin-macross-delta-vf-31f-siegfried-messer-ihlefeld-custom/1056843502-0-0-0-en/info.html

Realised I posted into the wrong thread concerning the topic. Yeti or anyone else, would you know how well does the included stand connector for the VF-31J fit with your stand arms? Essentially, does anyone know if the included display connector enormously bulky?
-
Yeti, how well does the included stand connector for the VF-31 fit with your stand heads? Also, how "slimline" is it? The one you made for the YF-29 is leagues better than the one which was included. So much less bulky. Basically, question is - will the VF-31 included connector not appear to be maniacally bulky on your stand arms?
-
Considering the armour packs which came and were so very well integrated and presented for the 25s and 29, it's surprising how disjointed and out of place they look on the 31. This I say also that the Valkyrie looks so amazing and so well designed. The armour packs seem so much afterthought. Such a miss. SDF and Frontier they used armour packs pretty regularly throughout the series, the Valkyries just almost beg to be bought with them. Delta to me will be likely an armour pack free zone.

$100 shipped? Not nearly. My 1/72 VF-31F Messer was $57.67 and shipping cost $24.53 to Brisbane... this included 3 Gundam super deformed Gunpla kits in it so the shipping box was bigger than it necessarily would be for just shipping just the Macropla (?) kit on its own. The Macross kits were cheapish experiments to check for my desire. There was always a gnawing intention from my side that I would be getting the 1/60 DX anyway because when I had bought a Yetistand a while back I did it getting a double arm kit.... Plastic kits fits toward my personality as I like technical design and detail. What I really have enjoyed with the 31J Hayate was the different grade plastics which were used into their relative injection moulds. Some soft, some harder... each and every single one served a purpose.

I had originally considered just getting the 1/72 model kits for my Delta displays. Have purchased 05 and 02 so far and that's probably where I'll stop. The build is easy. The colours and matching of colours are fantastic to the show. The shape and demonstration when displayed is amazingly accurate. However. If the intent is to be able to give them a play, transform them and play some more then I'd probably say no. Some of the plastic pieces are very brittle. The 05 head antenna snapped pretty much the first moment I tried to move it around. The leg components have been pretty regular in coming apart. Either it's because I've got a bit of a plastic dag left from where I cut it off from the frame or it's how I'm moving it that is making it come loose. There's a number of extra pieces like covers and such for when you wish to transform it or move it into a new mode. The under-arm gun-pods are detach from jet and reattach to arm style of assembly. For me, it's not a big deal because I really like the dynamic poses which it is able to do in fighter form and that's pretty much how I'll be displaying it on their FlightPose stands. As I said, I originally considered just getting the 1/72 model kits but I've now got a 1/60 DX VF-31F on pre-order because there's poses and transformations I want to make with it... and it'll couple up nicely with the also-delta-wing YF-29 Fokker edition I have. Both delta wings, both pilots who's flames burned brightly and extinguished quickly.

A tiny drop of superglue will do it. The plastic is brittle as can be... using superglue to reconnect it won't make it any more brittle than it already is I guess. I'll probably mostly display this in jet form anyway so it is what it is I guess.
