    Still liking megalobox and the new fmp series. Some good shows to keep me entertained while waiting for attack on titan to start up again in July.

    There was a hguc waterslide set that may still be available for the shield. It may be slightly out of scale, but would probably work. It is strange that wasn’t printed on though.

    As far as macross plus goes, it’s a matter of time. They did the vf 2 from macross 2 and the old hm series had a couple of vf 19 variants and plus had a prototype for a yf21 that looked cool for being incomplete. hopefully by the time all the destroids and maybe an enemy or 2 they will move on to adding another non original macross release. I would eventually love a vf11 release knowing bandais love for mold reuse.

    Wing and double o have the horrible main character problem. I hated them and found side characters so much better that I wished the shows were about them instead. IBO was good, it had some very unexpected moments but kinda had a useless ending like unicorn. I guess it’s too much to ask for an epic show to have an interesting ending. Maybe I should just rewatch votoms again.

    Looks like a big batch of kid went up for preorder. Byalant was a must buy for me. The jegan was another buy. I’m still on the fence with the Sazabi. I was looking at the power cables around the waist and feel a bit let down. The zaku cables had individual parts for the piping, but the cables on the Sazabi look molded like the hg version. I am also tempted by the look of the galbaldy rebake. I think a few slight modifications may make me a bit happier like trimming or just removing the horn. for anyone looking for effect parts the figurise ones may be useful.

    08th team is a good ova starter. It takes place during the old one year war, has great animation,a good story and doesn’t require knowledge of the original series or shows that take place later.

    The rg Sazabi kinda reminds me of the illustration in the old mg Sazabi booklet that katoki drew. I like the design seeing as how it fits with the rg look.The only thing bugging me about the look is the color separation. I think the darker red areas should have had an even darker color for the seperation instead of lighter. I guess that a bit of paint can’t hurt.

    I don’t mind if the characters story doesn’t make a huge historical impact to the series as long as it’s good to watch. Side stories have been some of the best stuff. I love 08th ms team, but it really didn’t do much to impact the gundam universe and It didn’t need to. The main characters weren’t super heroes or anything special, they were just good. The series was good because it didn’t have to be super important and world changing.

    I really didn’t like the majority of the movie, but the last 30 minutes of the film were epic. The pig launching robot suit was great.

    The jegan looks a bit thick in the arms, but not too bad. The Sazabi may tempt me more when it comes out, I’ll wait for reviews although the larger size may benefit the inner frame. Also excited about hg sinanju stein.

    That’s an odd one to have a sequel. It had one of the biggest let down ending, but at least it looked great and was one of the few recent gundam series to have a like able main character.

    Megalobox is great even though it’s a bit of the same old Rocky with anime flair. I really dig the look and feel of this one. Violet evergarden was one of those same old stories where the writers think the audience is mentally deficient. The animation is great, but seriously holding out important information from the main character for over half the show just seems lazy. It’s also extremely cruel to put some one through that, and all the other characters know what happened but are supposed to be nice by not telling her the truth. I guess they thought there was no story worth our time here when they made this show.

    I got my bloodsuckers also, but I ran out of time to assemble the scopedog turbo that was included. It was nice that they included the damage parts and ypsillon. The parts around the sides of the head were a bit loose, so I glued them on.

    In my opinion gundam the origin is a downgrade in animation quality compared to dyrl and even the great key episode animation of the original series. Don’t get me wrong, some of thee old series animation is a bit goofy but I don’t think we need a reboot. Although I would like a sequel that could actually live up to the original.

    So now the odd question is, how many movies will have a gundam cameo? I know of 2 within a week of each other’s release. And now will a giant gundam statue become Japan’s Statue of Liberty?
