part of the problem is the progression of the movies

the first movie was a pure horror movie, and revolutionized the genera.

the second was a top class action flick, again, revolutionizing its genera.

the third movie, wich went back to horror, missed the opprotunity to go to the third genera and revolutionize it. that genera was:

Courtroom Drama!

and the fourth movie... well... aliens had yet to touch the spring time romance flick, though with all of ripleys friends dead, it probly would have made more sence to make it a light hearted comedy.

Looks pretty good for a paper craft kit. Was there really any official releases for that thing (like toys and such)?

it was a free hand out at E3, on the card is also the metal gear from the new game, but its too confusing for me.

There isn't much too it, it's just H.R. Gigers style. He's got a definately warped way of looking at things.

Anything it has to do with the content of the story was simply tacked on by the crew, Giger was given more or less free reign to make the alien so i dont' think there is alot there content wise.

Maybe it's about time to see and meet other people.

go get some friends, and if that doesn't work, make some enemys, don't just be a shut in.

get a magnifying glass and kill some bugs or something, cripes.

what ever floats your boat i guess, just know its going to get harder and harder to go out and meet people the longer you wait to do it.

why not go mow lawns for a few days and buy a bike, i don't know. maybe atleast invite some local macross world members over for popcorn and macross.

Here is the rail gun, what i have of it anyway.

when i'm done, i gotta go back over the entire thing with a marker (gray or neutral blue) and cover all the edges that are showing white. in case you can't tell i'm not much of a modeler, but this was the only way i could see getting a metal gear rex figure.

oh well, fun stuff. hope you like the pics.

thanks very much for the line up. i've handled the other evas aswell, while they are cool, they can't touch the poseability of the one i have.. the question remains, what is the likely hood of the rest of the evas being made in the sculpt i of the 02 i have.

the reason i ask is because if they arn't releasing the others i'm going to go get the 05 while its available. if they are releasing the others, i'm going to wait for those instead. i cant' read the websites that are listed on the box so i dont' know what to do right now.

Not much new since the last photos, got his radar arm on, and built most of his rail gun, but need just a few more peices.

is it "unlikely" or "unknown" if they will release the rest of the evas in the style of the one i have.

the o2 that i have is EXTREEMLY poseable, everything from standing up nice and strait to the stylized pose i pictured above, and nearly any pose you can come up with, though the arms are just a tad limited.

i'd love to have all 3 plus maybe the eva 06+/02 combo with the eva all trashed up.

now i digress... so is it simply not known if the rest of the serise will be released? and what should i call mine? serise 2 ? gen 2?

hi, i bought a eva -02 at the comic shop the other day, very cool, i think its poses are so hard core, but what i want is to get all three evas.

i've been looking around online and i'm having trouble figuring out wich ones are the same brand as what i have.

the one i have seems to be made or distributed by Kaiyodo. www.kaiyodo.co.jp/

i can't find anything in english about the company and navigating their website in japanise is next to imposible for me. where can i find more info on this companys line of evas?

the back of the box has the following names on it:

kaiyodo

sinka

xebec

and says the eva was originally sculpted by yamaguchi katsuhisa.

i'm being serious, is the main market for people who want to dress up? or is it intended for display? is there a big market in japan for life sized stuf like this?

if you find the peices, go to a crafts store and buy a hot glue gun, don't use super glue it will mess up the plastic.

Regarding decompression: the expert opinions I've read are that it doesn't make your head explode or your eyeballs pop out of their sockets. Here's one link on the topic.

im 14 so i have to go back to school on the 3rd so i have decided to end my last few weeks of freedom the macross way.( before i continue i should note that ive been home schooling for 3 years and it has been a breeze. 3 hours of work a day and all of its easy. so going back to 8 hours of schoolwork 2 hours of football practice and 4 hours of home work in a private schooll that means uniforms .is going to be hell)so im going to end my summer with a bang. last year i ended it by watching the abyss premere on tmc and taking the trash out. this year i will sit down and watch every macross video evermade. the animegio dvd's, dyrl perfect edition, flashback 2012, macross 2, macross plus(ova and movie edition), macross 7 dynamite 7, macross zero 1&2 and finally macross 20th anyversary. it all startes tomarrow!( if i finnish this damn book report F@#K these 3 mnth homework assignment )

this all reminds me of the road Final Fantasy went down. it started out as a story driven franchise that happend to have nice visuals. Now-a-days everything becomes secondary to the eye candy.

i'd always liked macross because its giant robots served a purpose: to fight giant aliens hand to hand.

Giant robots designed to fight other humans in giant robots for the sake of fighting in giant robots is lame.

The fact that the VF-0 is considerably technologicaly superior than the VF-1's really really bugs me, does this bother anyone else?

they should have made them less fancy in an attemt to actually make the fighter look like a predesessor. this just makes no sence and seems very uncreative.
