May I ask which company did you order from? 600 yen boat sounds very reasonable to me.

I much prefer the TV style VF-1A head over the DYRL look. I have a 30th anniversary 1/60 DYRL CF and would love to find a way to swap out the sensor myself if I can. BTW that 1/60 TV Max looks fantastic....

I'm in USA East Coast, and for my preorder of the Super Ostrich, shipping was 1740 yen using the JP Post Eco registered option (2-3 weeks, with tracking no and insurance). Faster options such as the JP Post EMS (3-4 days) is about 2900 yen. You can actually see what your exact shipping charge is going to be if you start placing an order - you don't have to submit in order to see the shipping charges.

I think 1/60 would be the sweet spot for the mass market since so many of us have Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 VF-1s. But the margin would probably be better on the 1/100 version and that's why I think they started with that scale instead.

Macross DX Chogokin and Gundam Metal Build are the only two lines that I can think of, where customers are expected to practically enter into a lottery, first by staying up (for those of us in the USA at least) in the early hours of the morning, committing hard cash to the prepayment, and STILL cannot expect 100% certainty of getting the merchandise! I think someone used a junkie/dealer reference - on reflection, I think that's a pretty apt description of what a few of us are going through right now (sniff).

Mine is also for a single order, about 9 hours after yours lol. It didn't take them long to process the payment did it, yet the wait for the actual shipment is painstakingly loooong...

I passed on the Arcadia re-release of the VF-4 last year, but if there's a FB color version in the HMR line, I would be quite happy to get one (or more). I am not a fan of the battroid mode but the fighter mode looks gorgeous, especially if it comes in the OVA color scheme.

same here. I think the CF colour scheme looks the most "natural" and military like. I'll probably get at least one set of these but it all depends on pricing and availability...

That's a very valid assumption (and indeed a worrying one). Fingers crossed that Bandai will somehow pull through with the lagging orders and we all get our 31A's eventually.

Aw crap I wish I had asked before putting down my money through paypal. Though if push comes to shove, I won't be shy about escalating with paypal (it was via a BofA credit card purchase through PP), and if other fellow members were able to get a refund in the end, I think I should be ok because of the backup purchase with N-Y. But then again I am assuming they will come through with the PO, while we are both in the same boat for the VF-31 PO.... Thanks for the reminder and the warning though. Lesson learned = always check reliability of an online retailer!

I ordered one from bandaionline.com a day before the PO date, for $93.80 shipped. Fearing that I had never ordered from them before, I got another order in from N-Y this morning US time for 8720 yen as backup. I was surprised to see that they are now sold out - for an HMR toy the PO window seemed to stay open for a lot longer than I thought.

Thanks for the link. A Miria would be nice but I think it will need to be paired with a Max as well... My wish list for V2 VF-1's is the 1D (30 year re-release with the option parts), VE-1, VT-1 and the 1D virgin road version (if they will ever re-release that one again, which I doubt). I think with the three that I have (1S super, 1J GBP and CF), the basic variation is complete, or at least that's what I keep telling myself for now...

I am also worried about the "shipping differences" tactic, but since they have shipped some units to people in the US, can they still use the same "argument"? But that's not to say that they can't come up with some crappy excuse again for the blackmailing.

I started collecting (late) in 2015 and so have only bought the Arcadia Vf-1J GBP, VF-1S Movie Strike/Super set from N-Y, and a VF-1A movie ver. from ebay. These are the only V2's I have. Now that I have the space for these things, their prices have gone up so much that I don't think I can afford them anymore! I would love to get the non-standard VF-1's when and if Arcadia eventually re-release them. From my limited searches on ebay, prices are a little crazy and it's hard to find a good deal unless a good bidding item comes up and you don't get sniped at the last minute. Thanks for the tip about Jungle though, never used them but will certainly take a look. And yes I still beat myself up hard for not buying them at retail price, which explains why I am investing into the HM-R line now, fearing that the same thing might happen.

I hope so too, but before then I have already ordered myself two sets of SO and already have the Elintseeker in hand. Reissues are going to be really hard sought after by everyone and there is no guarantee that they will do them at a sensible price. Premium finish VF-1's are already >30k yen (I can't remember) and my guess is VT-1 and VE-1 reissues will be at least that or more expensive...

nice, and it's an original V2 release with rainbow canopy as well. I hate me from 10 years ago for not ordering the V2's when they were available.

I collect mainly VF-1's only but have heard very good things for some of Bandai's other VF offerings outside of HM-R. The delta VF-31A Kairos was my first Bandai order but before I could experience the beauty of Bandai's design, I'm stuck with many fellow members who have ordered from Nippon Yasan with no shipment updates in sight, more than a week after release...
