Yes thanks - sorry I was thinking UPS but said DHL. At this point, what's another 4000 ish yen on top of the EMS rate, lol? I really, REALLY, want to get my hands on the PF 0D as soon as I can.

I think I'm in the same situation as you, asked for the rates to upgrade to DHL from EMS, did not get a reply, but got a "preparation in progress" message earlier today.

My last proper PO was for Max’s DX VF-1A, and I was lucky to have got in on a 5 min window when amazon JP opened the item for preorder. I feel like I’m getting rusty at POs and the scalpers have also become very efficient now, and won’t be surprised if I’m not able to land a single preorder.

Absolutely. I remember getting excited when Bandai reissued the chunky back in around 2001, but when I saw the Yamato 1/60, it was a dream come true moment (back then, and for me at least). It had great ambitions, and was pivotal in restarting the whole toy franchise of the VF-1 design, and even though it’s now inferior to the newer designs, it still deserves an honourable mention.

That 1/60 v1 Head can’t be as bad as the 1/48 VF-1S Head with the mold line right down the middle, can it?

Only UPS or ferry options are available from NY at the moment. UPS is about 10k yen, I need to check how much the ferry quote was.

I was in a similar “should I or shouldn’t I” situation when the VF-0D was first released in 2015, just as I started collecting Macross figures. I have been trying to find it in second market ever since but the prices were just crazy. The premium finish 0D seems like the ultimate release of this form factor we are going to get. If you dig the 0D design, this is probably your best chance to get it at near MSRP.

I have yet to come across someone who has SUCCESSFULLY placed a PO for a Valkyrie figure there on PO day.

Thanks for the very comprehensive list, to me this is very accurate from my last few year's PO experience as well. N-Y is probably the only company to enforce virtual social distancing on their website for PO madness!!

I contacted them a few days ago to ask for shipping upgrade options, and was told it’s another 4000 yen or so to upgrade from EMS to UPS. So I replied and told them yes, please upgrade and charge me, but haven’t heard back from them since. I’m so jelly seeing all the live pics from Asian collectors who have already picked this up and I am still sitting and waiting at NY’s mercy.

Nice! This reminds me - for the eventual DX VF-1 GBP armor release, I am hoping that Bandai will reissue the VF-1J with grey visor.... For my Yamato 1/48 VF-1J GBP, it just looks wrong paired with the white visor.

I don't have the DYRL 1S, but was the wrong modex on the right side? That's great news if they finally fixed it, it would be a huge eyesore for me and I like to display mine in F mode.

If the YF-29 FSP is an indication to go by, and that PO is assumed to be 4 months before release date, the PO date could be as early as next Monday or the Monday after...?
