Love the new non-glossy finish. Would love to see the rest of the Frontier line with this finish and other improvements (non-exploding 171 triangles, no stupid swappable wings, improved leg mechanism, etc).

For panel lining the new 29, what do you recommend? I only have the gundam panel line marks. Do those work ok on the new matt finish?

I'm keeping mine in fighter as well. Can't wait to place it on a Yeti!! I'll throw pics in as soon as I have a chance in the next few days.

Do you have the link to yeti stand's website? I think I will buy one because when I took down my Isamu 29 from it, I noticed there's a bit of paint chipped off from the stand tip (the paint chipping is underneath the metal bar that connect the cockpit with the lower body) after put it on the stand for a year. I've tried to google it but all I found is mic boom.

FlightPose stands are the closest you'll get to Yetistands. The advantages FlightPose has over Yetistands are that they're stupidly easy to setup and can be used with practically any plane or ship, even a dinner plate, since they don't require toy-specific adapters. Speaking of adapters, most of Yeti's adapters are opaque plastic, which look pretty unsightly, at least to me.

The disadvantages are that FlightPose stands can't achieve the extreme poses that you can do with Yetistands and battroid poses are nearly impossible since FlightPose is designed for planes and ships. There's also inconsistent reports of the stand's rubber tips melting the paint on some toys. Anecdotally, I've never had that happen to any of mine, but it may be due to specific combinations of paints/plastic used and/or room temperature.

Yup. When I was moving couple month ago, I noticed the flightpost tips "melted" off some of the paint on my Isamu yf-29. On the metal part that connects the cockpit to the lower body. But all the plastic parts that connect with the tips are ok (it's on the stand for at least 2 years).

DHL is fast!  I placed an order with Mandarake.  Was worried about shipping cost but figured I got a enough good price on my order that expensive shipping wouldn't hurt too much.  DHL picked it up and delivered it here in the USA in less than 24 hours.

I only used DHL twice, and both time they charged me almost 40% of the package fee with handling fee, clearance fee, etc. on top of the tax duty that goes to the government. And that ballooned the price of my item by almost 200% adding everything up. If a website only gives me DHL shipping, I'd just shop elsewhere.

I really wish they had prioritized shrinking the backpack for battroid. Not sure how they could but it would have been nice.

Pretty sure it's impossible. The official drawing doesn't even have consistency. There's just no way that small of a backpack has enough room to hide all those legs. Also the plane nose somehow shrinks in battroid mode compare to in fighter mode.

The YF-21' design is just too hard to translate from 2D drawing to actual 3D model with consistency.

  6. I think matching to the lineart is just impossible giving that the lineart/battroid mode picture are too inconsistent in proportion from picture to picture. In that battroid mode picture, the nose cone somehow just "shrinks" compare to the size of the rest of the frame. Then with the side/rear profile, the main fuselage is impossibly thin to contain all those legs and arms and what not.

So the chest and shoulder piece fit in? Compatibility issue is from canards which might fit but can't be folded ?

The shoulder piece needs to be fitted onto the canard. Since 31A's canard is bigger than the Delta's, one way to make it fit is just using the 31S's canard with the armor and plug it into the A's canard slot.

    Yup! :lol::lol:

NY's mistake was misstating the release date...i.e. please wait on your a$$ while we scramble to find one for you...

At least they still fulfill most of the order instead of cancel it then put it up for sell with 4x the msrp price.

  9. Yup. On the Chinese market, 31S's price starts steadily going up ever since the AP announcement. Now I've seen report of people can't even find a 31S seller as most of them started to hold off their stock for a huge price hike after the AP release date. Our valk now feels like bitcoin 2.0 or something.

  10.

Who knows what they're planning on, but the only 31's equipped with the armor in the movie were the 31S Arad, 31E Chuck, and 31A Kairos.

It's unlikely we will see armor for any other 31, unless the second movie adds it.

I can't imagine what 31A's price will skyrocket to if they release AP armor for it...

  11. So finally decided to jump on the Yeti stand. Some quick questions thou.

Which adapter should I use for the DX yf-19? A DX standing adapter with the bandai's fighter mode holder on it? And which adapter for the VF-31?

Which component should I choose if I want both pitch and roll on my model?

Say if I want to hold a yf-29 and a yf-19 in flight pose, will the Ikea DETOLF cabinet big enough for it?

Is it just me, or does the armor completely replace the forward canards?  You can pull them out with enough force.  That would mean that Kairos armor has even less issues in the way for getting made :)

I initially thought the armor looked kind of dumb, but fighter mode got me good: I just bought a 31S for this armor to go on.

It think the armor just covers the whole canard.

Looking at fighter mode, I can barely make out the 31S wingtip below the missile pack. You are right in that sense I suppose.

Seem like the mechanic to hold the booster on the wing will be just like the Fast pack, but with some obscure so that the wing has to fold down at an angle like the lil' draken pack.
