Well said BoB!!! Just wanted to add my own 2 cents... I am so sick of TBDXers complaining about MW spamming the vote 2-3 years running, and now they are saying the TF fans are doing the same! The big excuse I see all the time is they are going against ballot stuffing from those voting along fan-base loyalties only. This is what gets on my nerves about this discussion about "weighing down votes". Aren't they doing the same if they say a diecast toy or an SOC line toy should've won? Those voting along where their 'loyalities lie' whether it be the SOC line only, or being diecast only, or vintage property only, and or simply being a Japanese only property? Yes they are a Japanese toy only board, so what? TF and Robotech have Japanese roots. It seems that MWers and TF fans carry the image of 'elitists', but Many TBDXers are just as big 'fanatics' about Japanese only diecasts, so that would make them 'elitists' too. I agree with BoB that many TBDXers should try to understand that there are others who are just as passionate and knowledgeable about the Otaku diecasts or vintage stuff but aren't as vocal about it on the TBDX site or that other site that has popped up. Give most of us some credit. Many of us voted for what we believe to be the best toy that year and actually know about those other Japanese toys. SO GET OVER IT TBDXers! Everyone and anyone's vote for TOTY is fair because we are all 'elitists' for something and a vote represents which one we favor. Who cares if we don't know who the Getters are or have no idea who Maz is... a toy that makes it on that list made is on there because of an elitist or two. Not all of us can really be a fair judge since most of us can't get our hands on all the good JP toys that came out this year. Yeah!! we rich ass MWers like burning our money on Valks only!!! So with all that said, my vote this year still goes to SOC Dancougar cos I'm still waiting for HLJ to ship my MPOP, don't know if it will get here before New Year...

The pic you are talking about is not in the kneeling pose, in actuality its this: ----Purely speculation on my part, but I think the blocky calves would get in the way of achieving that kneeling pose... Speaking of the back (panel) of the box, why does it have a pic of a transformed G1 OP (art pulled from the G1 box art)? That sucks dude... I guess HLJ just didn't have enough on stock to go around for all the preorders they got... I've seen this time and time again. They really should start limiting on how much preorders they accept for what they figure will be a very hot item. Have you tried BBTS?

HLJ has got mine in processing so its just a matter of days until I get my hands on the most anticpated TF ever!!! OH WOW!!.. The vents [on the shin] also open and close. That is so awesome!!!

Well. How far back did we have to preorder from HLJ.com to guarantee a copy. I preordered mine November 24th......does that mean I'll have less of a chance than those that ordered before me? With HLJ, I'm not sure anymore... I seem to remember this going on with Dancougar back in January... HLJ says they prioritize by the day you put in your preorder but I was hearing of people who preordered theirs just days before release and getting one while some who placed theirs in months before, had to wait for the next batch... I can now say that I am one of the lucky ones who preordered fairly late in the game and still got in on the first batch.

Hehe, how was it? I bought it when it was priced down to $19.99 but it's still in its shrinkwrap because I never found the time and mood for it. When I played it at a TRU floor demo it felt like there's a bit of a learning curve to get through, even though I am fairly adequate at Parappa and UmJammer Lammy. Give it a chance. It has a pretty steep learning curve and I almost gave up on it when I first started. Pushing at the right pressure takes a little getting used to, but really gets addictive once you have the baton-setup that's right for you. Trying to unlock the music is what keeps drawing me in.

Best games I bought this year, Madden 04 then midnight club 2.. my faves are still AC4, GTA Vice, GT3, Tekken4, and Tetris... Currently in there is: [i know its a game from last year but a pleasant surprise for me] Mad Maestro---just picked it up from TRU for $9.99---was gonna be a re-wrap present for my niece but now I think I'm gonna keep it for myself

It can't be helped since the whole purpose of the remake was to cash in on the nostalgia of us who actually remember the show... Otherwise they should've just done a whole new storyline, next gen or Alternate Universe...

The guys over at sgcollect.com are in a ruckus like its the second coming of christ..in a way it is. Has it been confirmed that MPC Prime will be releasing this week? Anyone know for sure?

Yeah my brother and I noticed that too and then that "Colonial1" cheese got us speculating if they are tring to rip some stuff from ID4.

Yeah I don't get the point of making a male character a girl if they're just going to act manly. What's the point. It's like Starbuck au lait. she is nto starbuck. she si a chick who's callname/call sign is "star buck" I like her. she has far more punk and guts then alot fo characters. Also she is more gunho then starbuck. So all they did for the remake was give them first and last names -big whoop-, they still pretty much follow the same roles from the original storyline! Starbuck has the similar 's'punk of Starbuck of old only now as a woman, Apollo and Adama are still father and son, Adama the leader, Apollo the leader pilot, and same ole villainous Baltar only younger and more savvy-- Not new characters--... The secretary of education turned president and the female cylon spy are --new characters--! All Cali is saying is that if they wanted more eye candy, they could've added in more female pilots not change the sexes of Starbuck and Boomer. .

Given the reviews so far, you'll probably hate the new Galactica more than G-Saviour. But then again, that's almost impossible, as G-Saviour is practically second to Battlefield Earth as the worst sci-fi ever conceived. Totally agree. These were the best aspects of the original and to no one's surprise, the writers of this remake dropped it. The [first season of the] original was at least fun because of the fantasy factor. My brother and I watched this remake thinking it would be a throwback to when we were six and seven years old and we IMMEDIATELY knew that we wanted the original Starbuck, Boomer, the Egyptian helmets, and references to ancient Earth civilizations back. The stupidest part had to be "This is Colonial 1 now!" and we were like, 'WTF are these the same writers from ID4-Independence Day or are they stealing lines from it, since they have that (teacher turned president) lady from it?' To us, it seemed like the writers wanted to replicate the successes of that movie i.e. story telling, concept of a 'President', and mixing in the realistic US military and politics stuff into what should've been a fantasy "hero's quest" story.

Well is it pushed back until jan. or is it coming out on the 13th ? Yeah, anyone know for sure if its (Takara version) coming out this month? There are so many dates flying around the net; Dec 11, Dec 12, Dec 13, Dec 23, Dec 31, early to mid January 04... WHEN DAAGNAMMIT?!?!?! I really hope the 11th is for real and HLJ actually follows through with shipping all the preorders soon after!
