  1. Not sure why this was labeled episode 4 when i saw it, but its actually a torrent of a subbed MS Igloo Apocalypse 0079 episode 1. Sorry for the confusion.

    408068[/snapback]

Sunrise restarted the numbering with the first Apocalypse 0079 episode, but it's still the 4th MS IGLOO episode.

  2. -Since you can use better MS as much as you want, you spend a lot of time in "hero" MS, and you don't really spend a lot of time piloting stuff like Hizacks or Marasais.

If you use the "grunt" MS on easier missions, you get more points to beef up better MS for harder missions. There's an MS point multiplier at the end of each mission that can get over 1000%!

  3. I played/stumbled through the first few episodes last night (I just got to the Excelion). The game works like Sakura Taisen, but without the time-limited conversation selections. You walk up to people to initiate conversation. You can pick a general topic from a list (that seems to grow over time), but don't have mid-conversation choices (at least so far). You cycle through cutscenes (real-time, and from the OVA), exploration on-foot, mini-games/training, conversations, and combat. There's opening and ending credits (with the songs from the OVA) for each episode (which you can skip) along with the mid-episode eyecatch. I presume the OP will change as the "show" progresses. The game runs in a high-res mode, so the text is very sharp. Noriko's facial expressions are great, and there's tons of speech! It seems like I'll be able to get through the game without knowing a huge amount of Japanese. There seems to be some sort of inventory system that I'll need to figure out. There's also a place to configure/upgrade(?) your special attacks. I got the first one (Inazuma Kiiiiik) after the duel on Earth. The game is available for $65 at http://www.ncsx.com. It seems to be worthy for Gunbuster fans!

  4. What's the first  robot from?

    Raideeeeen!

The design of Rahxephon is inherited (with permission, I understand) from Raideen. The head is very similar, and they share several weapons (bow, shield, voice). All three robots fight together in the recent Super Robt Wars MX on the PS2.

  5. I was watching the Daicon 3/4 animations a few days ago during Sakura Con in Seattle, and something got me thinking. In the Daicon 3 animation, the girl as the captain in the white unform reminded me a bit of Misa in Flashback 2012. They even have the same hair :) BTW, Run Sasaki was a fun guest; it's a shame that there were so few people at her panel.
