All I have to say is that the previews of this movie with the homage to Game of Death Bruce Lee, plus recently seeing what Game of Death was supposed to be as a movie makes me want to get a bright-ass yellow track suit (no way I can pull off the spandex).

I just wanted to thank everyone who polled, replied, etc. I had forgotten about this poll until just recently I remembered and checked up on it. In the end, personal finances after books, car insurance, and not currently having a job have out on hold any thoughts or purchasing any valks for the year. I'll probably wait around until the recast YF-19 fastpack comes out, definately getting that, no doubt there.

Nice, glad you liked it, I just saw it for the first time recently myself, and I was also impressed with the animation/music and the story was good too. I've only watched the OVA, but I'll get around the the movie soon. As much as I like the VF-1 valks, the Mac+ valks are definately the coolest, the YF-19 is my fave valk by far.

Roy's death is definately helps Hikaru's character to develope and mature. I like how he died in the TV-series from a passing shot by the Zentradi, just shows more realism in how war is. I definately don't think Roy would've sat back and taken a desk job if he couldn't fly anymore.

I think they'd look better than the current DYRL-style Fastpacks, but I don't have a big problem with those on my low-vis, I think they look great on my low-vis.

man, so tempted, no, no, stick with the plan , VF-1S (Hikaru or Roy another decision in itself) first, then move to whats available next. gives me hope for a Max & Millia 1/48 VF-1J with Fastpacks Super Set! been saving for that one since the announcement of the VF-1J was first posted

yeah, i was gonna put in both choice, but that is not a viable choice for me right now, money-wise, so I'd rather force a choice of one or the other, cuz I know alot of the people here would probably tell me just to get both, which I gladly would if I could justify doing that w/o picking up fastpacks for both as well, and well, it becomes bad situation for my bank account

What up everyone. This is my first poll, hope I did it right. So I've been waiting to get the VF-1S Hikaru when I hear that Yamato is re-releasing the VF-1S Roy with all the fixes. I really like the VF-1S valk, its my fave (goes back to when I had a jetfire) and now I can't decide which one I want to get. Just want to see what you all think.

also got mine today, from tam, thanks! they look great, the detailing and everything is just really nice. I have them on my low-vis (cuz its my only 1/48, so far ) and I don't mind how they look, I don't think it looks off or anything. Beautiful, a 1/48 is incomplete without them.

Hmmm, very interesting, if I don't have anything really important to do that day (class, work) and depending on how much it'll cost, I could possibly be down for this, though I don't know if I want to be in a theater full of LOTR fanboys

Wow, I didn't expect so many responses so soon. Hmm, I should've mention what I have seen which includes Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Mobile Suit Gundam, and 08th MS Team. Liked them all. I know I should start watching other genres of anime, but my main thing is the crazy sci-fi/mecha animes. Currently, I'm trying to watch as much of Big O on the Cartoon Network as I'm able to. Love the big robot vs big robot deal, like Mazinger Z. Will definately get that when the series comes to DVD. I think I'm probably gonna go with Space Battleship Yamato, from what I've read about it, I think I'll dig the series. I'll probably check out Neo Genesis Evangelion next or eventually get around the Mac0 and Mac7. Hello all, Now that I'm pretty much done with watching Macross (own and watched TV, DYRL, Mac+ and decided to wait on M0 and M7), I'm looking at new anime series to go buy and watch. The following are the series/DVD sets I'm mulling over right now: Neo Genesis Evangelion Perfect Edition DVD Box Set Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Complete Operations DVD Box Set Martian Successor Nadesico Complete Chronicles DVD Box Set Star Blazers: Quest for Iscandar 6-Disc DVD Box Set Gatchaman DVD Set Genesis Climber Mospeada DVD set I'd really like to know more about Nadesico, Gatchaman, Evangelion, and Star Blazers specifically. Links to sites about each show would be nice. Opinions on any of the above and suggestions of a show I haven't listed are welcome.

Sup everyone, I just got my copy of Flashback 2012 and watched it. I liked it cuz I'm a big fan of the TV-series/DYRL soundtrack anyway. I liked seeing the end concert with the lift-off of the Megaroad-01 and seeing the VF-4s in action. Everything was tied up into a neat little package with regard to Hikaru/Misa/Minmei. I'm just a real sucker for the sappy love story that is Macross.

Yeah, I agree with what ewilen is saying about how the Zentradi's goal of capturing the Macross played more of a factor in keeping the ship alive than the VF-1s superiority to the Glaugs. I do agree with your reasoning on how the VF-1 was superior to the Standard Glaugs, but when it gets to the overwhelming numeric superiority that the Zentradi had over the Macross, no matter how much better the Valks were to the Glaugs, eventually they would have been overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

My problem with Enterprise is just the disregard for continuity. I've watched a couple episodes, nothing bad, nothing too great. Just doesn't feel like Trek, especially the introduction. Can't really say I care either way, probably best to see it go away for a little bit.

Definately the $10 i spent on a bootleg valk, back when they first hit the scene, before Yamato VF-1s came out. Such a piece of crap, though I still have it, just can't throw it away cuz I did decide to buy it thinking it'd be halfway decent

Honestly, I'd like to see Yamato do an Angel Bird paint scheme, though if I had more confidence/experience I'd do it myself. The Angel Birds were the Valk Demo Team, right?

Its not too big a deal for me, but there is a slight gap in the nosecone area under the cockpit when I deploy the nose landing gear. It's really slight and is not a big deal to me. Also looking for the limp wrist fix, I'll probably find it around here somewhere.

Thank you, before I was thinking to get the Vf-1S Hikaru and the Yammie VF-1J M&M (they have to make these, there is no way they won't) but now that I've bought my books for this semester, I don't know anymore. I think I'm gonna go with 014 cuz thats my number, it was the number I was assigned for soccer and hockey, so I just made it my favorite number period. I'm just a little hung up on applying the decals, I don't know if I have the confidence in my hand eye coordination to do nicely.

Yes, I want a series that'll showcase the VF-4 as the main valk. If not another Macross series, something with transforming mecha, thats all I really want. I was thinking a new series should be made along the lines of 08th MS Team but from what I understand, most if not all the Zentradi fleet was concentrating on isolating and capturing the Macross. Were there skirmishes, battles on other fronts? From what I can tell and understand from the movie, it seems like the UN Spacy didn't exactly do much of anything to aid the Macross or really fight the Zentradi except for the completion of the grand cannon.

I would like to see a show set a couple decades after the Macross TV-series, just to see more of the VF-4 Lightning. I think that valk rocks, my fave along with the VF-19
