  1. I really enjoyed it. Amazon did a fantastic job.

    Spoiler

I think my two biggest standouts I recalled are:

    1) They confirmed Vault-Tec started the war without outright saying they started the war; and

    2) At first I was buggered that they didn't start with the traditional "War never changes," quote, but then in the final episodes perform a time-jump to before the start of the series where, boom, it's used.

Pretty stoked to see the spin they put in New Vegas - it's the best of bunch out there and I can imagine precisely what he's after now.

  2. Here are the new cases, all of these are newly posed/placed in here. Motion sensors, programmable RGB lights, the rear is a curtain light.

Some is still a work in progress. The random Shenron is my tribute to Akira Toriyama. He sits up above them all in there.

Gate's drone is in there, somewhere if you want to play where's Waldo.

Nice grabs! I remember having a mini-obsession with getting them a few years back, & pretty ecstatic when finally got Anubis to complete.

Anubis has a weak point though, the PVC / rubbery sheathing on his tail can rot & fall off, based on some used examples I’ve seen. I’m guessing a lot is to do with exposure to UV or oxidation, not unlike some plastic-leather materials on 1/6 scale figures..

That's unfortunate to hear... I don't think it's an issue, but from what you've heard/seen do you think periodic exposure to this much light cause potential issues? Here's Jehuty in the case for example...

Working on Anubis in a few minutes and I'll post him. Then snag a group/case shot for the display thread sharing the new cases I made.

Might be tricky to color-match (either with paint or plain plastic), but I want to think it would be pretty easy to scratch-build those parts out of some scrap plastic.  The hinges might be tricky due to their size, but you might be able to substitute a piece of metal wire, if it's too hard of a shape to make.  I'd probably attempt to make something out of a sprue clipping, but I love punishing my fingers that way.

Thanks for the idea, that's helpful, but I'll likely level it up and put my resin printer to work. Color matching is likely to be a pain, but not impossible. I could just buy another one that's complete. My hope was that someone had encountered this and already had files.

Still waiting to hear back from the seller just in case it was knocked off in packing. It was there in the images before I snagged it.

    I appreciate you!

  5. Ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-crooooooooo Comboooooooo Brrrrrrrrreakerrrrrrrr!!!

DX Monster owners out there - I can't be the only one missing/lacking a butt flap.

Anyone find a solution over the years for replacements?

Butt flaps, and random black hole sun pic we took during the eclipse today:

HLJ and Tokullectibles come out to be about 18 dollars cheaper depending on your payment options and location. HLJ charges 218 USD if you pay in yen, plus any remaining shipping which is generally no more than 50 USD. No tax or shipping charged by Tokullectibles if you live outside PA I believe (you should confirm for yourself by adding an in stock item to your cart), and they don't charge shipping for this figure. Only downside to Tokullectibles is you would probably have to wait 3 months after release to get it due to shipment transit time from Asia.

I would lean towards HLJ if you have an international card and can pay in yen. If you can't and want the item right away, Gundamit is a good option.

Paid in full today. ShowZ was much less expensive for me. Shipping is free and I had around 39-40 bucks in points just sitting around.

Keep debating on if I should do their premium membership.

Excited for this Eva. It looks spectacular.

To be honest, Mospeada Bikes are so cool, I always ignore how the transformation sequence doesn't make any sense no matter how many times I looked on the linearts. They just look cool. Every time I see Ducati bikes on the road, the first thing the goes into my mind, how it will look fused to the rider. ;)

Right? That's been my main draw/childlike wonder on these. I wanted to capture the human element, armor aspect, and still retain the clear line of the bike... This was my janky way of doing it where from the side you clearly see the bike, but head-on you can see the bike is coming apart to "envelope" the rider mid-air.

I think all the kibble from the super sylph gets in the way so I may move Gate elsewhere. I think it'll make more sense once I get Master Chief's ride armor and display it beside Gate fully transformed.

Thanks for being nice and not pointing out that the Bike looks like a monster about to eat the rider :P.

A talking-head Youtuber. Noteworthy opinion? That depends on you. Like all talking heads, they've all got an opinion.

Let's be real though... "Doomcock" sounds like what an 8-year-old Forknife griefer would name themselves.

Live-action joke aside, I'm happy this is real and that Macross finally has a home on these shores. Any increased exposure should have a positive impact on the value of our collections and future availability of product.
