Random things you've picked out watching Macross
gerwalk25 replied to rewooh's topic in Movies and TV Series
Did anyone notice the Dynaman Dynarobo toy in the back behind the Valk model's and Tetsuwan Atomu? I gotta kick outta that because I still have my Bandai/Popy DX Dynarobo, not the Godaikin version. ~G25 -
I only seen the first three episodes of GGG. I thought the characters looked familiar on the Korean boxes. I noticed many series like TF 2000/RID and Microman toys show up in Korea and on eBay often. ~G25

I just looked at this auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...9&category=4694 Just wondering if it's a Transformer or from a different series like MR Rescue? Looks more Trans-esque IMHO. ~G25

I remember those! It came in a small window box. That was actually my first Valk, albeit a bootleg I got at a San Diego Swap Meet. Then I bought a smaller scaled SDF-1 (with the Macross logo on the box also a boot)at an asian gift store and a pencil sharpener Valk. Ah those were good times . ~G25

The Karyovin is a nice compact fighter compared to the bigger Dragon 2. Yamato should invest some time into producing said scaled versions of both. I'd like to see Focker's Dragon first. ~G25 P.S. I thought of buying a Motorworks FA-18 @ wal-mart as well as an F-14. Checked out both of them up close and they look pretty cool.

I have a BS6 HK bootleg with all episodes and a special featurette on a single sided DVD. The subs aren't too bad and the vid quality's the same well worth the 10 bucks I spent. ~G25

I never read Femme Fatales myself so I don't know if they cover Cosplay . Tis bout' time I get me a copy and find out! -
For anybody who reads the Femme Fatale mag, my friend Alex will be featured in the January issue available on the 14th. [edit] Also Cinefantastique is covering the film (in which she appears in) Conjure, not FF *G25 proceeds the hit himself and say "Stupid" al Chris Farley **. I was part of the production but just behind the scenes though. Her website can be accessed Here Film info can be viewed Here ~G25

I just got into Micorsizers/Bit-CharG. It seems that the Target in my area has a few on clearence and I was lucky enough to get the Pro version with a speed button on the top right of the reciever and Toyota bB and tiny surfboards for 13 bucks. This RC toy is cool and kept me busy for a while. FYI If anyone is looking for the track set Target still has them floating around for 5 bucks. ~G25

Hound was the very first G-1 toy I got as a kid. Maybe I'll get the Binal./Alt. version for good measure! ~G25

Who would have thought the screenwriter of the first X-Men flick and the voice of Solid Snake (David Hayter) played him in the second flick. David Hayter's Voice Acting Work ~G25 -
Anime & Japanese Culture in Recent Years

I second that. There are the lucky few that take the time to seek it's origins whether it's fanzines, the internet and so fourth no matter. Screw the innocent but in this case ignorant. ~G25 -
I collect any Macross item no matter how cool, unusual and even RT related (very little of the latter though). ~G25

gerwalk25 replied to vlenhoff's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
If anyone living in the East Bay (SF Bay Area) the Armada Unicrons are on clearence for 29.00 at San Pablo Target and I'm sure (if there's any left) in a few weeks they'll decrease the price ridiculously lower. I didn't manage to get one, since I don't have any room, I bought a MicroSizer/Bit-CharG mini RC Toyota bB for 12 bucks. ~G25 -
Shaolin Soccer is an awesome flick! Anyone who didn't see it you have to go out and get the HK DVD (I spent 10 bucks on mine). Another excellent review A7! ~G25
