1. Is this a good buy? I saw it but passed it up because I don't know squat about JMs, next thing I knew, it was taken.

hey now, that's a pretty good price for a boxed JM. Good job on that one. :D:p:lol:

It wasn't me who bidded. Didn't know enough to recognise a good deal when I see one. Too bad for me.

wisdom comes from experiece. i've overpaid on a number of things in my opinion. Thankfully so did the people I resold them to. . I would have picked up a boxed jm for $50 as I have no boxed ones and would like one. I'm still focusing on the few 1/55's I don't have yet though so I don't pay as much attention to other stuff, else I would have spotted the affordible cyclones.

  3. hi guys,

i hope you can help me out on this, im looking for a 1984 release of the 1/55 vf1a, loose valks will do even without the box is ok. if there is some yellowing, it would also be fine but please pm me a pic first or post it here

also some strike armor for the vf1s, bec mine is incomplete. im missing the booster packs and the red thingy that holds the boosters.

if you have a complete armor instead, itll do.

i only have a limited budget thats why i not pursuing a MIB vf1a.

    thanks.  :D

Red thingy that holds the boosters? jetfire was red, strike was green.

I might be able to dig up a fully intact hella yellowed loose 1a... eventually. To much going on at the moment to even look for it.

  4. armor was complete original. It's possible the pic I showed had jesse's resin armor in the box though. I ended up using it to complete my supposedly mib strike, almost completing my second strike [weren't you supposed to be finding me a missle cluster and arm armor elbow piece? ] and providing inserts for my third boxed strike which has a "hi-metal" 1a instead of a 1s in the box for obvious reasons. Or maybe the inserts went to a jetfire box, I forget. Salvagable parts were removed from the valk and used as transplants for patients that might survive and the rest will one day get an infusion of spawn parts and resurrected in some twisted form... or maybe it already did... I should clean that room

  5. you just had to put everything in this thread up to now to shame... didn't you  . So far your the winner of kanata's cheapskate award as that was an even better deal than my $25 boxed bandai strike

Heck... I might just have to give out an prize at the end of the year for whomever scores the most mindblowing deal. I'm a cheapskate though so don't expect anything that good

I never got around to adding pics of that $10.00 Cyclone that I won on eBay, so here ya go!  :)

    First, the auction link:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I think you still got the better deal on the strike because if you think about it, the strike is actually worth more than the cyclone. ;):D:p:lol:

    412211

C'mon pat, you remember that strike. It might have been complete in box but it sure wasn't mint  . Good thing the guy threw in the loose jetfire and two mib hcm gundam's for $30 to make up for it

  7. I know nothing if people want selfbooting images of m3 for dreamcast pm me

I have two saturns, one with magic cart, but to be honest haven't even tried either of them. Heck... I don't even have a controller or power cord for my jaguar. I was into getting every game for a some time but grew tired after a while so don't ask for anything newer than psx1 or dreamcast. Granted, a few folk around here know just how much psx1 and dc stuff I managed to aquire before I got bored  . Heck... hopefully one of them pops their head in and offers up as they copied my entire collection.

  8. Time to shift gears on this thread. What songs do you consider as great driving music? It doesn't matter if it's rock, hip-hop, or even new age, as long as something you'd play all day on your car stereo.

    411040

When you say driving music I think of songs that make my foot go deeper on the gas pedal subconciosly... songs that make me want to go on a pursuit chase either as pursuer or pursuee...

jesus built my hot rod - ministry

    "{don't you worry

    they won't find my ashes

I wan't you to know I found peace in a better world

    don't keep digging

    I wan't you to leave

back away from the place where my ashes are buried}"

and if anybody wants to hear some of this stuff I got stuck supplying my favorite dj with tracks and as such I have a vicarious radio spot that gets recorded... Hopefully nobody here at mw is as twisted as me... so pm me to maintain your facade ;)

  9. My dad just died so I'm kinda out of it but if you pm me in a week or so...

I have a 2 part epoxy compound we use for fixing cracks in concrete pools.

I have yet to find something it won't stick to. The problem is it is often harder than the item it is applied to so finishing might be a pain in the a$$. Case in point... We were refurbing a residential inground and when using a core drill to reset the handrail we cut through a return line. Patched it with said substance, but not properly. As such I had to use a jackhammer to remove the patch and replumb. Chipping hammer went through the concrete just fine but didn't scratch the epoxy compound! I've been stockpiling some of the stuff to use for recasting for when I finally get around to casting stuff. Yeah... I'm an idiot but I can't help but think resin ve armor that is stronger than kevlar could be cool

granted I will have to melt the molds off it and hope it needs little finishing.

    Have you tried bondo?

  10. I've only have a few case fresh vintage toys. My hi-metal 1a is sans tape, my 1/100 1a is sans tape. Of all the other mib toys most do not have the remains of tape... no scarring, torn box, etc that would imply that tape was ever there. The only vintage bandai case fresh toys I have come across is some of my hcm's, and I assume that was because they had slide trays which could slide out if not taped.

  11. got parts? I have been experimenting with a musha 1/55 gbp conversion and always wanted to do a knight one. I don't have a night though and I'd need two before I risked one, but modifying damaged parts is a different story. I have an extra musha rx depening on what you lost.

  12. dick. Those are the exact same gundams I need MIB to have al of the ones I want. I should have asked earlier stupid me. Let me know how it works out though as I want to know how much I will have to suffer to complete my gundam collection,

I do have extra musha to trade though... ;)

  13. I keep all my boxed toys on bookshelves in a dedicated room. it's only the piles of loose stuff I keep in tupperware I occasionally have to move out to the carport when I need some inside space... like when mom decides to have a family gathering at my house without letting me know that everybody will be staying at my house  . Tomorrow is going to be fun :( .

you can buy large cans of desicant at grocery stores and some flower shops. You use it for drying herbs, mushrooms, meat, etc. If you are concerned about moisture you can also use a silica packet and vacume seal it inside tupperware. One it's vacume sealed moisture can't get in. Excessive heat could still be a problem though.
