I can't help but think a lot of rush fans would beat you to death for saying such a thing Then again... I was mad impressed with the primus cover of floyd's "have a cigar" had to laugh at how many people diferentiate between old metalica and the "new and improved" metallica And dejr8bud met testament... I always wondered how much meeting bands meant to people and influenced their listening. If I had a bottle of tequila for every time I passed out on a couch surrounded by musicians... One of my best friends used to harras manson back when he worked at the mall food court. I laugh at him now as he went the REM style band at the time without much success and manson got signed across the street geeze... lets think about bands I've gotten smashed with... I mother earth final decent fury in the slaughterhouse sponge toadies thursday's child the greatful dead [i didn't know I had an in till the girl I was seeing asked if I wanted to see her uncle "phil" play in tampa] ... more that I forget as I used to party to hard... Kinda funny when you get better treatment than the hot groupies just cause you have the drugs they want

Hey all. Just wondering if anybody [over 18] still asks for toys for x-mas and their birthday? I learned a long time ago not to ask my wife for toys as she never manages to get the right one . She knows I want a seeker but lord knows I would be unwrapping a yammie and not a bandai tonight if that was what I asked for 4 my birthday. In fact, I can only think of two people who have given me toys I actually wanted in the past 5 years... one was the fellow who got me into spawn and the other has more spawn than me. I asked my mom for spawn for x-mas a few years back and I get he-man... WTF Do you guys get cool stuff that you want or do you find it easier to buy toys for yourself and get services like dentist appointments or lap dances for gift giving occasions? if on the odd chance I actually get something cool today, I'll let you guys know.

I just try to get my wife not to break my toys I gave up on trying to get her to watch anime, or cartoons in general, a long time ago. How I could fall in love with some-one who says "the colors give me a headache" about fritz the cat is still a mystery to me . She doesn't even like disney stuff , much less invader zim .

listen to the bends. its their best CD. Yup, The Bends is their best album. Less experiment and more substance. I listen to a select few of a wide range. I'm too lazy to change my CD changer, currently it has CD1: Sinatra, Martin, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennet, etc CD2: REM CD3: Weezer CD4: Joy Division CD5: Trashcan Sinatras SD6: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elton John, CCR, Eagles, Clapton, etc CD7: Echo and the Bunnymen, Jesus and Marychain, Mazzy Star, etc CD8: Ash CD9: Beck CD10: Yo La Tengo/Dump CD11: Gomez CD12: Stone Roses The compilations are burned CDs... My tastes are varied with the only pre-requisite being able to identify with the artists vision. I'm kind of dark myself so favs, as in I listen to them 75% of the time are... NIN +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Linkin park I am to lazy to change my cd player as well. Heck... I'm to lazy to move stuff around so I can hook up my third hundred disc changer For obvious reasons I won't do a list like exo . rather than struggle to remember what all I listen to... here is a list of my computers directory of music albums I ripped personally from my cd collection as I like supporting the artists and don't download. I also like to make mixed cds and tapes for work and it's soooo much easier if everything is in one easily accessed place. Keep in mind this is only the directory of artists as if I included albums I would get yelled at for excessive posting... I have over 20 NIN albums . A few compilations/soundtracks are hiding in here as well as occasionally stuff goes in the wrong folder. The only reason you get this is I still remember "dir > list.txt" Directory of G:\My Documents\music_mp3s\My Music jen IAN POOLEY Xorcist Utah Saints Trainspotting tool They might be giants Soundgarden Techno the Tea Party Transmission System of a Down Smashing pumpkins Rollins Band Queensrych rennassance REM Rolling Stones Psychefunkapus Primus NIN Praga Khan Pearl Jam Nirvana Local H mind numbing hardcore Ministry Lords of Acid Dr.Octagon Killer Techno La Funky Jesus Jones Gravity Kills Giuseppe_Verdi Electronic Deep Forest Crystal method Angels_Chorale Captain Beyond Cake Bush Bob Dylan Carl_Cox Big Black Altern 8 311 Alice in Chains LinkinPark Garbage C_C_R lenny kravitz Disturbed Faze Action AKIRA Hendrix Limp Bizkut Lit Fuel NickleBack Puddle of Mudd Social Distortion X marks the pedwalk Mike and the Mechanics DJ G Malign dead or alive tori amos simon and garfunkle suicidal tendancies alanis morissette beatles the bob marley danzig Dead can dance eagles flotsam and jetsam fury in the slaughterhouse greenday jackyl Jamiroquai Janis Joplin jesus and mary chain K L F Living Coulor oasis pink floyd PM Dawn poe Renegade soundwave AEROSMITH u2 teenage fanclub cranberries the depeche mode firehose metallica mother love bone neds atomic dustbin siouxsie and the banshees type o negative longpigs Lost Highway Soundtrack Luscious Jackson mammas and papas Mazzy Star no doubt romeo and julliet Soundtrack silver chair veruca salt white zombie possum dixon Quicksand blur chemlab clutch collective soul counting crows cracker die rache der schonen dog on cd electric hellfire club Enya everclear Forrest Gump Soundtrack guns n roses jewel Killer Instinct Gus Gus marilyn manson megadeath 99x mr bungle pantera R H Chilly Peppers rage against the machine rush Skinny Puppy slim shady spore sugar ray DJ RAVEN toadies woodstock94 alex gopher Dimitri from Paris Hawke Peace Orchestra Pepe Deluxe Q-Burns Abstract Message TANTRUM Thievery Corporation Unkle cartoon covers Mixmag snatch alpha pepper Batman_beyond marcy playground ambient systems 2 back to mine bauhaus beck best of house music bt ima creed dj culture dj kicks dj shadow doors the dope on plastic duran duran electronic trip hop abstraktions everything but the girl feed your head frosty funki porcini gavin kardkiss idjut boys janes addiction john cougar journeys by dj jdj kid loco kid rock led zepplin leggo beast little wing love and rockets akotcha misia moss murk P O D police the robbie hardkiss steely dan sundays the tantric tetris trik turner ultraman up bustle and out The Killing Had Begun Velvet Acid Christ LEaTHER STRIP Front Line Assembly Leanard Cohen My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult Freaks Holy Wood Drawback OhGr Project Pitchfork Snog The Cure stromkern temple of the dog adny the pursuader bad brains benny goodman bjork blondie and pat benatar body and soul cafe del mar chill in chillout 2001 coldcut and the guilty party david bowie dc and sneak derrick carter dj brad smith plus spice dj fluid dj food dj icey dub reggae E Nomine electric blue electro lounge enigma funk master flex future sounds of london garden of eden grace heavyweight duo hooverphonic instinct ambient itaal shur presents milk and honey jackson 5 janet jackson jdj journeys by dj mark farina my house in montmartre nicola conte orb phat global plastikman pure abstrakt sade scott hardkiss presents god within stan gertz bossa nova stoned stryke system soundbar adny the modern sound of ubiquity love from the sun the theory of evolution tom petty tricky turbo studios ultramarine united djs of america united state of ambiance urban dance squad way out west willie and lobo coil blame makurosu for starting this topic

A few words I see come up during my browsing I have no clue about... GODAIKIN ??? CHOGOKIN ??? POPY ??? VOTOM(s) ??? Are they name brands, series, or what???
-
points for effort I would recommend getting one MicronianDevil, not that I'm bias or anything Yeah... they are an ambiguous scale... yeah... they lack detail... yeah... they have a misproportioned cockpit... They are still the biggest marauder I have found so far I bet one of the robecrap I-men valks would fit... as if anybody around here would waste money on such a piece of... oh yeah... I'll post a pic of that later
-
not that off topic.. as the bandai's 17 and 19 lack of metal and detail were the reason I gave yammie a try in the first place. Boy am I happy I did. Get a fire valk bootleg and you won't notice the difference between it and the bandai... As for the 17... If you have to have it... get it. I was less than impressed myself. oh yeah... welcome
-
Makes me wish the 19a and original 21 were packaged in fighter mode ... That would definately be ideal in my world. Do the original's fit in the FP boxes?
-
perfect version = one without QC problems?!?!? I have soooo many perfect version bandai's Is this a sign that I should always hold off buying the newest and greatest yammie till the bugs get worked out?
-
hmmmm... small orguss toy I care nothing about plus spare JM booster... Steal a head from a 1/100 kit... not sure about the arms though... Oh well... yet another project gets added to my "to do" list
-
till then there is always the matchbox stuff... Lord knows I won't say no to a more detailed glaug when it comes around
-
I see said the blind man to no-one in particular Always wondered myself. I have one I got from someone... a pod... kinda cool but still unassembled. what other words we should know does anybody have?
-
really??? that could mean cheap 1/72 19a's in my future
-
one would assume that as long as magnetism and the gereral rules of physics don't cease to exist... indefinately.
-
ditto is there a way to save them to my PC for future watching off line?
-
do I really have to get monkey to send me a bottle of blendy now? Is that truely what it says?I have a spot for it between my midget corona and my wild thyme vinager. Time in a bottle No wonder I have no shelf space I still have a bunch of empty ten cigarette malbore packs from england that go way beyond the normal surgeon general's warning and have a varity of such colorful slogans as... smoking while pregnant will harm your baby smoking is addictive smoking causes cancer smoking kills smoking will lead to getting yelled at by a fat pregnant woman in a welsh unisex trainstation bathroom you stumbled into because the friggin sign was in welsh Ok, so I made up the last one, but it's one they really should have had on the box
-
I share your pain. I like boxes as you can stack them to the ceiling, but there comes a point where you run out of flat places to start a stack. It's the loose stuff that poses the biggest problem as it doesn't stack... it just kinda piles up. I meant to respond to this post earlier but I kinda had to get access to my [not hers] computer... Oh yeah... Like my amazing photo shop skills hiding my stained carpet

I remember hero interactive had been working on a sidescroller like that but in the demo they released you couldn't change to gerwalk or battroid modes. other than that the game was looking good. I haven't a clue why they stopped. thexter, or thexder... I forget, was a side scroller with a transforming valk like plane/robot from back in the days when the apple IIgs was around. I kind of like the idea of free transformation and power ups like a cross between thexder and darius twin. Why... who's got the free time to make one?

first off... earthlink sucks I know what bad connections are like and if I actually paid for AOL I would sooooo complain. Have you tried other providers since? You may want to try an AOL 1 month free and see if it works better as that will tell you if it is your provider or your modem/house hold wiring. Do you have alternate dial up numbers as I know I have to change mine around periodically as more users jump on the same number and bog it down. Modem issues are either easy or a pain to diagnose... If it doesn't dial up at all it's easy to tell, if it's an intermittent problem it is a lot harder unless you want to drag your computer over a friends and try connecting from there, which is also how you would eliminate house-hold wiring as your problem. Good luck... hope that helps.

What series finale still stands the test of time?
kanata67 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
the prisoner I watched every episode in order over a two day stretch in sarisbury UK and was more confused when it was done than when it started Damn rover and damned #2 glad you liked it SkullLeaderVF-X, did I send you fritz as well? I forget. That was a good one though, but not a series. Maybe buffy? Voyager was a pretty interesting, though sooooooooo filled with temporal anomalies . Still nice to see the borg get it proper I rarely get to see series finalies, and when I do I am usualy in a mental state the precludes remembering them drunken master 2 was better than 1, does that count? -
"stock" this... There's beauty in keeping things stock, hell...it'd be a damn crime If I customized my vintage 1/55 Millia VF-1J just to make it "unique". It's perfect as is. ugh, obviously dude, not everyone has a vintage valk collection, making it unique. there are tons of camaros on the road, but if you had a 68' you'd have something that not everyone can go out and get... as for my collection, it is currently "on loan" , but can be viewed, at least in part, on kid-k's website, the missing parts, which is the majority of it, either havent been customized yet, or were on display at this and last year's cons. While not everyone has a 68 camaro, or a 67 as in my case... most people have probably not had a wheel fall off while driving or a windshield wiper launch from the vehicle and land on a cop car . Now that I think about it... comparing 1/55's to my seatbelt-less, heater-less, wiper-less, roof leaky, broken motor mount, broken freeze plug, gas guzzling, rusted out brake line non-stopping camaro makes me start thinking I should start getting yammies... Oh wait... parts fall of them to
-
I think it was kid how gave me a link to making the colapable gunpod. Lots of mods... You guys seem to think inside the box though. All I can really say is... "You want a piece of this?
-
nothing I do add to my collection on a weekly basis. I could say money, but lack of money doen't prevent me from aquiring stuff... it just makes me search harder for better deals. Storage, or lack there-of, should hold me back but I find boxes stack nicely all the way to the ceiling My wife puts up with it as better refurbishing old toys for hours than spending the time at strip clubs... it's all how you make the argument Priorities do shift though, so while nothing prevents me per-say, I sometimes elect to waste money on other things like a third car so I can fix up my camaro proper... or at least not die in a heap of seat-beltless metal and flame before I get around to fixing the brakes on the camaro
