  1. hey, been a long time guys. I'm gonna get back to working on my regult soon. heres some low poly alpha fighter i found on my computer.   2. lol yah so i haven't been here for a while... lmao hoping to get working on this project again and keep my thread alive lolz
  3. haven't had that much time to work on the project... i've run into a few bugs with the body top left... smoothing between body and bottom of the body is a little rough... sub patching not working out so great so i will have to fix that top right... don't know whats going on with the bottom of the body where theres kinda a peak... its a lil messed up and i'm trying to get my bearings in terms of what it actually looks like so i can fix it bottom right... full view of the body in progress. may decide to remodel this part from scratch since its giving me some issues... i didn't plan it out that well when i started to spline model it any suggestions on how to fix the geometry would be helpful.
  4. thanks stratagos... no i haven't heard of them lol only in movies but i think you're referring to some forum members wow lol i think the the lower body or the legs on mine are 22 thousand poly's alone XD

  6. hmmm the VF is in a mess and not in any shape to be shared lol... only I know how to work my way around the source files for it bcuz its sooo disorganized lol. Anywho, not likely to be sharing the valkerie anytime soon. It is likely that i will make the reguld available in .lwo format once I finish modelling it because i'm not sure whether i want to rig it or not... that presents its own challenges away from the valkarie. Do check back to the thread, i should be finished in the next 3 weeks or so... but no guarantees since school is starting soon Also! some renders some smoothing errors in the images when i mirrored the leg... gotta fix that. From the reguld's perspective, i modelled the left leg and then mirrored it to create the right one... but lightwave merged some of the extra points when i mirrored it over... didn't think it would do that. meh will have it fixed and part of the body done next update... huh, i liked it better before i coloured it... what do you guys think?
  7. agh i had some funny renders of VF w/ his legs talk show crossed and drinking tea... too bad i'm not at home haha but will upload them when i get back
  8. another update... yay for spline modelling! legs almost finished. Missing a few details like the vents at the front of the legs and the joints.

  15. hmmm decided to redo the regult legs using spline modelling instead. first pic is rough of the feet... gonna fix it a bit using weights cause the bottom is not quite right. better then first attempt though sorry guys haven't been here for a while lol

  18. renders great. Good for low poly models . think you might want to work on the surfacing. INteresting idea for a comic strip... you kinda butchered the photoshoping though =.= unless you used paint lol
  19. lol.... started the regult... its not pretty but its a start 0.o started on the fast packs too but things are goin slow because i have to work with my valk in the background... thinking of making a low poly version that i can work around so fast pack modelling goes faster. also maybe going back to the old valk to make some mods as people have suggested but with lightwave its hard to go backwards lol... creating detail is a lot easier then getting rid of it >.<

  21. thanks, Mr. March statistics are awesome ... i never new the armour only worked in battloid mode but it makes since because it covers up the nose and would make it impossible to transform, come to think of it battloid is the only mode the armour is seen on in the show, even in macross zero more images would be helpful Orthographic views would be the nicests. if anybody's got orthographic views of the reguld too that would be helpful

  23. hey guys! i'm back! Its been a while, thought i might try modelling some body armour for the valk now. Could anybody hook me up with some specs?
  24. lol I never really liked the look of fast packs, they're kind of gross lol. I was thinking of possibly modelling the armoured suit. I wasn't planning on changing the textures to this model at all. UV textures I find are somewhat frusterating lol. I can make the .psd (photoshop files) for all of the valk's textures available if anybody wants to customize the valk, then I can render it for you Also this link has now changed since shaw hosting is being stupid. This includes the all the modes and transformations this time, valk, gerwalk, and battloid. http://www.members.shaw.ca/sbwong/_layout.htm Got a bunch of projects on the go right now. I was going to help out with the freespace2 effort. Currently I am modelling macross city for Nanashi's short film. I will eventually get around to modelling the fast packs i suppose but it might be a while before i get around to it.
