  1. Does anyone know of a website that documents old Votoms releases? I would like to go back and clean-up my scopedog posts and contain some historical information like release dates and prices.

Does anyone own this Votoms Toy Collection book

I'm curious if it has a bunch of the data I would like in one easy spot. If I could confirm that I would be happy to grab a secondhand copy somewhere.

  2. LOL, I wouldn't argue that! I'm standing by my opinion that that scheme is better than the KC.

There's also an argument to be made that both Max & Miria should have a white chest (matching the stripe on their VF-1) with white cuffs but make the forearms and shoulder armor bay doors blue or red to match their VF-1. That would essentially be doing what was done for Hikaru with the assumption that the white parts were white because Hikaru's VF-1 was white. If I had time I'd mock that up. It'd probably be easier and cheaper for KC too because only a couple parts would be unique between the two. Heck, if they went that route, it'd be a piece of cake to make a cannon fodder version also!

  3. Ya know, while that's true, Bandai has done plenty of bizarre things in the past. So likely they won't touch it but.... if that's your thing, you can hold out hope.

Said it elsewhere, so probably should here: If anyone needs someone to try and pick up a copy for them at Tamashii NYC, I would try.

I just don't know if purchase limits will be imposed for this like they were at the Tamashii popup at Grand Central for the Max VF-0S.

If we find out it will be sold there, I will definitely hit you up!

  5. Man, these toys are making the Yamato toys feel like real bargains at their original MSRP... Cheaper and twice the size with tons of detail and disassembly ability. I had hoped Arcadia would make a smaller Scopedog like their Garland but Bandai and ThreeZero have scratched that itch.

  6. Honestly, I don't know that it is a huge rip off of the Sentinel. The cockpit is doing something different in soldier mode and there are definitely different interpretations at various points.

I'm really excited to get this Scope Dog.  It'll be the first Hi Metal R toy I'll be getting that's not a Macross toy.

I really like the clear wave effect from this picture.  Would anyone happen to know where it's from?  The closest I've been able to find is a Tamashii Effect Wave clear version, but looks different still.

Looks like the HG model kit expansion 1 effect parts.
