  1. Looks like 1/100 and 1/72 to me, the 1/60 would be much bigger, similar in size to the VF-0 and YF-19.

Im curious about what extras the 1/60 VF-25 will come with. I take it the Alto version will come with regular FP's and the Ozuma one will come with armor parts.

I wonder if Bandai is gonna bother with adding things such as opening canopy and retractable landing gear.

  2. 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-25 in the chogokin line ? Woohoo B))

I take it the armor in the pic can be removed so we can just display it in plane fighter or battroid mode without all the extras too ?

Would be cool if both came with super parts and armor parts but i take it that the yellow one comes with the armor parts and the red one comes with the super parts like in the show.

  3. I think it's just a re-issue of the IMAI kit. I had the VF-041 reissue kit and it was pretty good, though very fiddly. The only parts that came off to transform were the arm weapon module IIRC. I remember it being light and fragile, but that's probably just a by-product of a model kit being built by my clumsy, neanderthal hands. :)

Thanks, did you have to paint it or did the parts come colored like the gundam model kits ?

Also does it have rubber wheels ?

  4. Not to go off topic but while we are talking about Ride Armors i came across a Aoshima 1/12 Stick/Ley variable modelkit in a collectible store i was in a few days ago.

I think this is the one:

How is this different from the IMAI 1/12 Ride armor kit, is it exactly the same ?

Is the aoshima version molded in color like the IMAI is ?

Do you need to remove alot of parts in the transformation and i understand it has rubber tires ?

    Thanks for any answers

  5. hehe... yep, it isn't "official"~

I'm really impressed with Yamato these days... The hands are looking better with each subsequent release (my pet peeve with previous yamatos) and pretty much everything else in my list is being crossed out.

I got one to add though. Prices. It's about the only thing really that makes it totally sweet and honestly it's something I don't think we can expect until a competitor comes into the picture.

    Anyway, good job Yamato. Bravo.

P.S. Yamato, make the vf-0D... Please. That's my personal #1 on the list.

    Mine too

  6. That's a question, would Roy if he was in that timeline use the 19 or 22? I know the majority will be the 19, but i dunno maybe he would like a change or something. :p I doubt he'd be fit for a 21, too much saki and too less braincells.

Be interesting seeing him in a 22 or 19 the same. :D

I would always picture Roy in a VF-19S with the skull colors. The 22 doesn't seem to be his style really.

  7. If we get a SOC quality perfect transformable VF-25 and 171 it may actually be better the the Yamato's. The SOC ones have perfect paintapps and all markings applied in a perfect manner.

However most SOC's need to detach parts in order to transform so im not sure.

  8. SDFM is the original and best.

But i also think that M Plus was a brilliant return to the macross franchise and i really enjoyed it. Maybe because its not a direct sequel or a re-hash of SDFM in anyway. It does its own thing and fits inside the universe established in SDFM perfectly.

M7 im not too happy about but dig the VF-17, 19 and 22 ofcourse.

M Zero started really well but ended kinda disappointing. Still it has the best valk fights of any series.

M Frontier got some good stuff going for it.

But i would never want to end the Macross Franchise after the first show. That would be like ending the Star Trek franchise after The original series.

As long as quality shows are being made for the franchise im all for it.

  9. If they can make an YF-21 that came in only one color in the show they can make a 0D that came in two.

Also the VF-0D got way more screentime then the VF-1D in macross.

    ...I also wouldn't mind a 0B in Space Proving Wing colors B))

  10. Wait'a minute....

It's going to be UNDER 100 USD????

    How is that even possible?

I mean - the VF Zeros are also 1:60 scale and they are over 100 USD...

Did Yamato radically improve production methods? Did they discover new technological wonders? Did they find new ways to cut costs?

    VFTF1

The VF-0 is [---------------------------------------------------------------------] this big

The VF-1 is [----------------------------------] this big

Give or take an inch that is

  11. I haven't bought any VF-0 because I'm waiting for this. And we need it, to go with the just-released Nora! Shin's 0D is the only VF-0 I'll buy, and I really want one. Delta-winged valks are very rare.

Also the VF-0D was shown just as much if not more then the VF-0A and the D was Shin's primary valk for a long time.
