Hey guys, I was lucky enough to grab a Yamato launch stand when they first came out. As I have bolstered my collection, I am in need of some stands. I figured I might as well make my own. I came up with a quick idea for a stand to hold a valk in fighter mode. I will probably continue to develop this, and may end up with a configurable stand by the time I am bored of this. First step was making sure I could model and print an adapter that would hold the Yamarcadia stand adapters. It fits amazingly well. I have already modeled a stand. It is printing now. I will post pics upon its completion. So far so good. I will edit this post with more pics when available. The base is still printing. I did shrink the footprint down a tad. I have modified the arm to accommodate gunpods in fighter mode. The universal nature of a stand like this is in question until I try all of my valks on it. Pretty quick and easy to iterate, though. Here is the base printed. 1/60 VF-1 for scale. It holds weight pretty well. I will take more pics when the revised arm prints. I already have an idea for a fully adjustable printed arm. Pic spam ahead: As neat as the overhang is, I will probably move the fulcrum back an inch or so. It is in no danger of tipping, but I think multiples would fit better on a shelf if the valks are more centered above the base. After I nail this down to my liking, and print a few, I will start working on the adjustable arm. Revised arm in red: As it stands, my nicknames for these are; Fighter Arm (Clear), Gerwalk Arm (Red), and Battroid Arm (Blue). I am not yet sure if these work for each valk in this way. More printing ahead. I printed out another base, and a Battroid arm:

Synopsis: AD 2057. A rare event! 3 Macross fleets intersect on the edge of the outer rim. A month long nexus planned decades ago, before saying goodbye for deeper exploration. A grand festival has been in the works for quite sometime. Each of the fleets will be showing off their ace pilots and customized/divergent Valkyries (think Macross: The Ride), in explosive demonstrations and technical squadron maneuvers. This is a chance to swell each fleets knowledge base and shared experience from their time apart since setting off before parting ways, on course, through the outer rim. Corporate sponsors, and military contractors all have reputations to uphold, and their partners back home are always looking to get more support for their R/D departments from the N.U.N.S... Civilians among the fleets are also gearing up for a concert to be remembered. Reigning idols from each of the fleets will each have a showcase week of concerts and public tours before combining for a joint concert the eve of the last day... Each of the Macross fleets have their secrets and flaws, but members of one of the massive fleets know the true meaning of this temporary union... Just saying......

Yeah. I've been watching for a VF-11b for awhile.

I purchased the one off of Jungle for $279 shipped. Better than $330.

I have an itch to have all of Isamu's valks. May have something to do with anticipation for Arcadia YF-19's release.... I got the Isamu YF-29 on release, but had missed out on the VF-11's.

Thanks for sharing! Glad to see the Zero valks coming back. I skipped Yamato's offerings the first time due to complaints about quality. Still been interested in picking up a SV-51, though. Hopefully they all get v2's.

How sturdy are those stands for the 1/60 Yamato's? Lots of wobble?
