No I have never seen anyone ask but it would have to be very shortly after I get it or right before. I just don't have the room with all the crap I collect.
-
I have always gotten perfect boxes. I then open my Valks and crush the box and throw it away. My Valks are going no where.

We will probabaly see the Max 1S just because it is a simple head swap from what they already have. We will most likely see M&M next. What I want most is the Max TV 1A though.

oooooooohhhhh sweet Valkyrie.........drool.....
-
Yamato should come out with little acessory packs with ground crew and TV pilots maybe some missiles.
-
How much for the 1/48 guard decals.
-
I hope so becuse I got rid of my 1/60's in favor of the 1/48's
-
I remember talk of soemone recasting them and never heard anything else. Did it ever get done cause I would like to buy a few.
-
Since it seem Yamato will never release TV Max 1A and since Halloween is almost over I can devote my time to making my own.
-
That's awesome. Now if Yamato can just articulate the pilots a little.
-
Ummm unless I am mistaken Purist, the 1R head is from the Macross series. So it was designed by the Macross people except it was really a mistake in animation.

Here is my thoughts on opening toys. Toys in the past are worth a lot becaue all of us as kids didn't keep everything MIB. We opened and played with everything, and back then toys weren't produced as much as today so the value of stuff has skyrocketed. Today so many toys are made unless it is an extremely limited amout they really aren't going to be worth anything later. And even if it is extremely limited eveyone who gets a hold of them will keep them mint and tucked away so in 20 years they will still be available. If you are planning on selling them in the future them sure you would want to keep it as mint as possible. I never plan on selling my toys only in extreme circumstances so I open everything and trash the boxes. I will never sell my 1/48's.

If you are a big 1/55 fan they are OK I would still prefer the old 1/55's to the MPC. They are best displayed in Battroid mode but in Jet mode look rediculous. They could have done so much better, just look at the 1/48. I had mine for a few hours and decided to sell it fast knowing once people got a hold of them they wouldn't hold their value and would basically have to give it away. If I had to make a decision of owning all the MPC collection or 1 1/48 I would take the 1/48. It is one of the best toys made today. But it is all on personal taste.

I would vote for the Max TV 1Aalso but that woud be one that would be beter as a wide release not a limited edition. The LE should stay with specialty Valks you really don't see int he show and leave all the main Valks as a regular release. Maybe a LE Hayo only becaue maybe he wouldn't sell as much as a Max. I would also like to see on a limited basis 1A and 1J CF's.
-
Yah I would definately buy a few who recast them for you.
-
I am happy with my first release.
-
If it were to follow any other pattern it would have 1 J head and the rest A's

I see a lot of people saying for playability the 1/55 are best. The 1/55 are the best if you are crashing your plane to the ground. For and adult collector you will get great durability out of the 1/48 I have trnasformed mine numerous times with no problems. It doesn't ahve the diecast content of the 1/55's but it is plenty durable where it needs to be. To me it is the best toy made to date bar none. I collect many toy lines and this by far blows any of them out of the water.

I'll bet anything this is a way for Yamaot to see how a bundle set would sell. They probably want to see if the price tag will be too much for fans to shell out at once. If they decide to bundle them what if they decide to release the Max and Millia together like in the past that is way too much money for me to put out at one time. I will buy FP sets when I have extra money so right now I am only getting the regular version 1J no pack.
-
It is too hard to pick. There is so much I would like to see int he 1/48 line but I guess mainly I would like to see them concentrate on the TV versions of the Valks especially the Max TV 1A why no one makes this Valk is beyond me. It was the Valk used int one of the best dog fights in all of Macross. Who woudln't like to have the 1A posed like it was after it shot down Millia's in the streets of Macross.

I though Graham had said Yamato was pretty much done with the VF-1 in 1/60 form. Changing them now would be a horrible mistake. They would have to put a lot of money into changing them and not many people will buy another round of 1/60 valks even with improvements.
-
Oh yah and as for how they would sell. I really wasn't looking to sell them I am just having one made for me and and am offering if anyone else may want one I am sure Tony could whip up a few more.
-
I though Graham said in a post it was November but as for a exact date I don't think anyone knows.
-
Yah I will most likely use a Sideshow toys body as they are much taller than the standard Joe body and use the Joe bodies for Max and Hikaru. Millia I would like to use the Cy Girls perfect body.
-
I want to do all the pilots I just started with Roy. The Millia will be hard because of the long hair. For Millia it might be better to find a current figure and color the hair. If the hair is molded the head ownt move around good and trying to root your own hair is a real pain in the arse.
