wait.. a BGC thread without hurricane!? i too bought the Animeigo Macross pre-order at the $250-odd price range. Still happy I did even though, if I were to do-over, probably wouldn't, since there are so many rereleases and it's not much of a collectors item. (edit to replace link with the music vid instead of a cam-capture)

Having gotten a Q-R with the figure, I have to say I was disappointed in the figure... it can't stand on its own because of the way they molded her feet (pointy-toed like a ballerina) and is definitely not pose-able. So all she does is sit inside the cockpit (or I guess you can have her lying prone on the ground) In otherwords, don't feel too bad, you're not missing out on too much.

Wow. I think you can upload them to your MW gallery and link to that gallery album. Then, when you make changes, the pics change but the album link stays put.

yeah, I'm waiting for it to dip to $20 for the core box. That's when I picked up 2 of the X-wing core's... one place that has 'cool stuff' had a weekend sale. next miniature game will probably be the one that palladium's releasing 'soon' -
or at least 5 of them, 1 in each mode + 1 in super/striker pack (customized with similar anniv. stylings) + 1 in GBP (also customized in similar anniv. stylings)

We have a small overhang next to our stair case on the 2nd level, so I got the green light from the 'boss' to put a display there. We went to Ikea and she spotted the detolf and thought it'd be great. We buy it and I come back with a search and realize it's a very popular case here. Won't have room to do the double-det mod though.© bhchan 2013

have you tried using alumide instead of white for your parts? I wonder how well metallic xeno-manipulator hands would work. I notice the pincers on my 1/60 Q-R are very loose and freely rotates on their own. they mention it's brittle... "Alumide is Nylon Plastic filled with Aluminum dust. This dust gives Alumide the sparkle, but also makes the material more brittle than the Strong & Flexible material."

Dang it, I just got a VF-1A DYRL Max with Super Strike, so a QRau would make for an interesting 'love at first sight' combo. Sadly, neither are in their proper respective colors or variations, (VF-1A TV-Max and Green-white Q-Rau for TV version; the VF-1S for the DYRL version). (edit... it's a 1S, not a 1J... I miscounted the number of antenna )

LOL! I just showed my little sister a link to the 1/48 Angel Bird I ordered. She said "is that a gundam plane?" then she had vague recollections of "some guy crying because a mei mei didn't like him and he ended up with a Lisa".

i knew I shouldn't be reading any sites... I just ordered a 1/48th Yamato Angel Bird and now I'm having second thoughts, since the 1/60 seems to be the one everyone's suggesting. Any reason to not get a 1/48th? The only time it was mentioned was that they keep it in fighter mode... does that mean it's not good in battloid or gerwalk configuration?

Same here... I was waiting for the green light, but the boss says we're already booked that weekend. maybe MWC 2014 (by 'boss' i mean the wife and kids... we're going to be in San Diego that weekend)
