  1. Actually. Full order 100 sets on HLJ comes out to ~$1925 without shipping
  2. Well, Already collecting the Yamato so what's another 100 piece set At least HLJ have all 100 for pre-order unlike the Yamato which they just add the next one every week and you have you remember to get one before they ran out.
  3. My goto store for hobby supplies from Japan is closing in a few months. Get you Mr. Hobby paints and stuff now. Price are comparable to buying them locally in Japan and they have a $12 flat rate shipping so it's nothing if you order a bunch of stuff at a time like me.
  4. Pre-order is also up on HLJ
  5. Hobbysearch current sale have the VF-31J and VF-31C on sale. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=109&cat=gundam&state=0&sold=1&sortid=0&target=&searchkey=Bargain
  6. Yes, there are light leakage along the fuselage and leg. I was planning on doing a video about it but got sidetracked. Will see if I can put it together in the next day or so.
  7. Have you seen an actual OP-11. The LED is mounted on a circuit board. Take a look at my Video here is you have not seen the actual unit.
  8. Might be a problem. The leg for the Battroid (used in the Gerwalk mode) is solid core and have no provision for the light tube. The connector between the leg and foot is also a solid piece where light cannot pass through. You'll be better of saving the OP-11 for the fighter mode and build a custom LED setup for the Gerwalk.
  9. I guess they are gone now as I couldn't find any of them.
  10. I couldn't find them on ebay, what search parameter did you use?
  11. Just did a quick unboxing video for the Fast Pack. If anyone wants detail closeups, I can post some pictures.
  12. Looks to be scratch built as the only other 1/144 carrier deck kit was from a long dis-continued Dragon Kit http://www.dragon-models.com/d-m-item.asp?pid=DRA4598
  13. Thanks for the close up. Still looks good this close.
  14. Amazing paint job on the pilots. Can we get a close up?
  15. I just hope the decals are good. the amount of decals for these kits gives me bad dreams ;-P
  16. This is the one at $12. It's a really old kit made in 1994 http://hlj.com/product/HSGC6 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10000592 and this is the one at $25 is a much newer kit made in 2012 http://hlj.com/product/HSG02015 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10199042 The problem with buying from 3rd party Amazon vendor is that they just list all kind of prices for the same kit so you have no idea which one is overpriced. The only way to be sure is to ask the vendor for the product number then match it up in HLJ or Hobby Search,
  17. Thanks guys. If anyone wants close up for the Battroid runners. Let me know and I'll post some pictures.
  18. OK, I just uploaded a open box video of the 2 Mode set, it also shows the difference between the OP-1 and OP-11 LED set.
  19. Got my kits last week but was holding off for the LED set from Hobbysearch (HLJ is backordered). They arrived yesterday. What you want is the TomyTec OP-11 part. Link here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10348037 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10348037/10/0 Every simple to put together and all you need is some LR44 batteries. Hopefully, I'll have time to put it together in the next couple days and put some pics up
  20. If you buy the 2 mode set, you'll be able to combine parts from the Fighter and Battroid set into a Gerwalk.
  21. Yea, I've seen the Madman kit before but was just wondering if there's any other alternative that is user programmable so I can use it on other kits as well. Thanks all.
  22. Looking for any ready made control board for Blinking/spinning/pulsing LED. Thanks in advance.
  23. Thanks guys. I'll go take a look at the Smooth-On stuff. One more question, How to treat the parts once they come of the mold. Are they just like plastic or are they softer. Do you still just wash it in soap to clean off the surface then just prime and paint as usual?
  24. Anyone know of a easy to use castling molding kit to cast parts? Here's my problem. The 1/500 Bandai Yamato Hanger Bay expansion set comes with 32 Cosmo Falcon fighters. They are molded in 2 pieces as seen in the photo here: Since they assume that most of the fighters will be mounted on the hangar bay assembly (not needing the bottom piece). They only provided 4 bottom pieces to 32 top pieces as seen in the instruction: If I ever want to display the kit with more than 4 fighters in flight mode (thinking about putting them on clear plastic rods originating from the display stand). Any additional fighters will be missing the bottom piece unless I cast/mold extra bottom pieces for them. I have never done this before so I'm looking for advise like which kit to use or if there is any tutorial video around. Thanks for all the help.
