Hey man! I am back from work. In the middle of my scanning this, my scanner died! But, no worries, I have a digitial camera. As you can tell, I am no photographer, but this should do the trick. I uploaded the pics to the skeleton of my website for BIG TOY ELECTRONICS.COM. Hands down, one of my all time favorite toys. I love it! Enjoy your SDF-1. Before you apply your decals, you may want to consider going to a pro copy place, replicating the decals on a high quality, acid free translucent photo paper, with a high qualit, non-disintergrating ink. That way, if you are going to apply your stickers, you can still apply high quality stickers, AND keep the original decal sheets! Food for thought. Enjoy it sir! -Bryan F. Davis

I would not need another Lancer Alpha had my Toynami arm not broken off. God, I would hate to see what would happen should I apply a little pressure! That is all I will say about the MPC alphas. Name one person who got a MPC veritech that can stand on it's own, or does not have some sort of QC issue. That toy does not exist. And its a shame! I was sooooooo excited about the MPC veritech. Thank god for Yamato's 1:48 line. Now, if only they would pick up Mospeada...

Do not forget this is TOYNAMI. The same company that uses the term MASTERPIECE to describe FLOPPY LEGGEDED, QC plagued, poorly painted, cheeply made, cheep looking, atrocious POS-and then have the nerve to charge what they do. When a company puts 1/100 of the energy into the toy that they put into the box, there should be red flags. And did I read that these toys are cheap? Anyone see the tag on the Hikaru? Sheesh. I hope TOYNAMI goes under soon, and HG hired Yamato to make some real toys. Otherwise, their new project is doomed before it even gets off the ground. They need the 3rd party products to keep this series afloat. And TOYNAMI is NOT the company to do it. Not to mention that the BETA FIGHTER is taking them what? 2 years to release? I bet you money it will be a wonderful toy. As long as you never take it out of its box. Way to go HG. Keep it up.

Wow. This forum has grown fast! Many people have said their low vis is "less special now." I don't agree. I am working on aquiring one from a macross world member right now (backed away from another one). As soon as there is speculation on the release of a similar item or a re-issue, the originals get abanonded or less loved. The low vis is still the holy grail for most 1/48 collectors. The fact is, the original release is so small, and they are so hard to get, that they will always be valueable and sought after. Or maybe, I'm just saying that cause I have not closed the deal on the low vis, and I am still high on the very thought I am even getting one. But I do not think the nostalgic ora will ever ware off. I love my valks. I mean LOVE. It's dangerous. They are my babies. And... And... And it's getting late, and I am not really going anywhere with this. -Bryan D.

All these mods make me wish Yamato would release their 1/48 YF-19 FP. :-( I am no where near as talented as these folks, and would not dare do to my 19 as these folks have done. It is sweet, and it adds much life and awe to an already amazing toy. Keep up the good work! SNAP!!!

DAMN! I am looking to replace my old 1/48 Hikary 1S. QC issues or not, it is a nice toy. I am going to get it still, despite all the QC issues. And... At least it's not Toynami. Have you seen their so called Masterpiece Veritech? SHeesh. I think Yamao bettter ship up, or they are going to get a bad rep. That would be very un-SNAP.

Well, I'm generally interseted in third party stickers. My one complaint with the Yamato stickers is that the transparent bits aren't so transparent (they're kind of cloudy), and I'm wondering if other stickers would look better. Waterslide decals would probably be the best, but I don't want to go to such lengths. In essense, I'm looking for a quick easy way to make my valks look a little better. 366163[/snapback] True that! Is tmap the only place to get these decals? And what scale are they for? SNAP?

I quit collecting the 1/55 valks, cause the 1/48's take all my money. But, I do really enjoy the 1/55. They are classic, and one of the best made toys. I mean, I remember when I was a kid, I put my 1J hikaru through hell... And it still survived. They are classic. I love them. But... I cannot afford both the 1/55 and the 1/48. SNAP.
