  1. To be honest I'd like them to take some of the better ideas from Crest/Banner of the Stars, LoGH, and some of the solid SF properties and tech stuff that was in Yukikaze. Musically I've just love for BONES to be attached, even if it wasn't for just more than atmosphere/mood musics.
  2. But.. but that would be CLICHE! ------ If Sylar comes back in season 2 than I've got to dub him Magneto and be done with it and just write off the show for watching. Because it's little more than Rising Stars. Where's the 'Common people dealing with extraordinary powers' angle at anymore?
  3. Oh God! This is going to make the regular run of Heroes poorly written because most of the reason for watching IS for the character development involved!!! This means the other series will never be able to write ANY material the airs before the main series airs certain characterizations and situations! Mainly because it'll give away a large amount of character that should've and been required character development that should've happened within the series. And of course NBC is spinning it like their doing a 'great thing' by going back to what they had for the previous length seasons. ------ All I gotta say is poor Ted... though the future painter did tell us that it would happen. He was such a good emo character. Candice is fat! HOLY Tenjho Tenge rip-off! And damn it I was starting to like Malcolm McDowell's character! He made a good traditional "evil businessman", that and it was a good change from all of the 'super model' actors that we've been having. But sadly he & Hiro's father confirmed something that we've been talking about, that I've hoped wasn't true because of how cliche it is. Also because of what has happened with Sylar he really does need to be killed off because if he doesn't then we're gonna have the same cyclical stories that we've had this season. He is simply far too powerful to continue as a character and he's bending the series around him far too much. I feel that Peter is the same way. The Sylar/Peter/Bomb/"Save the World." plotline needs wrapped up at least for them. It's time to move along or it's gonna be an X-Men copycat tv show without the suits.
  4. I never felt that way. But than again I'm not a completist like many who want everything spelled out for perfect understanding either. I always thought that the first movie was perfectly self contained as it was the End and then the beginning of the entire story, so it left you with some 'hope'. The second one really added a lot of questions that itself cleared up, and three completely blew out the legs of the viewers 'hope for a bright future' ideal by showing them that everything that happened only bought them a real chance at survival as originally was intended to do. Only thing left movie wise is to tempt the audience with the bait of "Will humanity survive?".
  5. Oh god... why are they dragging this out the story is done they'll only screw it up if they continue!
  6. Well after jumping on the manga Claymore(i love the mangka's work), I figured that I'd give the anime a spin. Holy Frigging W0W! I had NO idea it would be so detailed in it's crispness, which is something you just don't see in many animes now-a-days. The same goes for the nearly pure black instead of the dark shades of gray that they use in other animes. Close and medium range character art holds together very well, but distance animation is pretty bad and the backgrounds are nearly all of the painted style so much of that is immobile and lacking in color. It definitely gets my pick for best anime this season even though it only rates a B+ at most. So if your looking for a darker version of The Slayers without much comedy then Claymore is for you.
  7. Someone on 4chan 'shopped the various T'formers into one big picture and said, "Now throw in Bay's shooting methods...". I thought 1 thing train wreck!
  8. Is there actually a difference anymore! Can't say that I'll being waiting for any more, even semi-decent, Shirow material.
  9. How much did it end-up setting you back? I heard that they were seriously over priced. And it's only 2 episodes right?
  10. I only like the "WWWWHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYY!!!!!" pose that they have him in. That's hilarious!
  11. Well the way she handled DL's kid shows that it's more or less mental in nature because when he attempted to run away she was taking a shower. Also the kid used his power on the door lock and that would mean that she could also warp reality, something that she's not been shown doing. It would be best to leave it at 'Illusionary'.
  12. As we've seen with the last episode Candice deals with the kid her powers are indeed mental. And hers is more versatile than the Haitian's who's powers are sight and touch levels. But I agree that it does seem 'iffy' at best although we don't know what other powers Future Sylar had either.
  13. Yeah I was kinda caught off guard by the one scene, and I don't mean the bar scenes ! It did put you a good frame of mind in it's setting of the anime. The astronaut running for air COMPLETELY reminded me of the moonbase scenes from the Planetes manga! Great stuff. Heroic Age is really starting to shape up. It has "Odessy" written all over it! But the animation quality is getting to be horrible and the last few minutes of episode 5 were UGH!
  14. Ok without spoilers. I thought that the Sylar story was straight-up corn on the comb silly, but it shows that they are rushing the story along because they needed at least 2 episodes to flesh the story out without it being overly corny. It's nice to get a firm answer on Peter's powers, and I like how Peter and Claire have grown close. She's really been continuously stabbed in the back by her close relatives and even though Peter does what he does it really goes far for Claire(is she a moe-blob or what!). And finally between Sylar and 'you know who' did he blink or did Sylar break it?
  15. I gotta say that they would be very smart to tie-up the 'lose ends' and end the "Save the cheerleader save the world." story arc with a mild cliffhanger.
  16. Wow, talk about strange partners! And nobody was ever confirmed about being the human bomb. Though from what I'm seeing is that saving Claire meant giving Peter the needed powers to survive Hiro's stab and I don't think that a 'dead' Peter would be able to explode. It's also hard to tell where Hiro is at. I mean he did a parallel/alternate universe time jump when he was involved in the shot out in Vegas.
  17. Venom/Brock has been Spidey's best villian, with only Goblin/Osborn being either First or at least tied. Every other villian is straight campy filler without direct relation, with only Felica/Blackcat being except. SM3 has just too many characters to juggle & look well doing it.
  18. *sigh* At least it's not a complete Halo rip-off. But it's just blah with all of the 'visual details' they shoved on the basis design. The shoulders and leg crap needs to be bigger so it looks like a proper Gundam rip-off. Simply too industrial. The helmut's fine and has alot of camera friendly angles going for it!
  19. Just before Parkman shot Glasses(i can never remember his name) didn't they show Nathan's & Peter's mother laying on the floor next to the desk with a shot in the head?
  20. He's had them since he came on screen. But I get the idea that his powers, or the way that he uses them, require that he sees the person. Or it just maybe that the writers can't write themselves outta that hole...
  21. I would bet they are just trying to cash in on the 25th Anniversary rather than anything else. Because non-HD anime at HD levels doesn't look good at all unless you have a sub 20-25 inch screen, since there simply is too much detail lacking.
  22. Ditto! But I view Macross Zero & Aquarion as CG test runs for the 25th Ann. material However I'm simply in waiting mode. kresphy, Bandai is stating 2008 not 2007???
  23. So we really don't know. *and to continue on with the FF jokes* Peter's "Auto-HP" would've dealt with the cut/scar it because he doesn't have that much control over it due to it being instinctive behavior. That was hinted at in the previous episode. Remember that Sylar was "future painting" the same scene that the artist had just finished. Nathan as president. Maybe the various powers work within different parts of the brain, and that Peter's and Sylar's powers are too wide spread to halt. By-the-way. It looks like Sylar had alot of fun getting new powers especially with all of the raw political power he welds as president. Hopefully he never gets the school kid with the vacuum powers.....
  24. Now that we've had the little "Days of Future Past" episode, who will kill off our "NIMROD" character. Linderman Act? Why not just call it the Kelly Act and be done with it!! I've forgotten though when/where did FUTURE Sylar get the cold powers?
