It's been months since I even touched mine, but I had to rework it 7-8 times before it started to look and feel 'right' from the various angles. I can tell you one big thing though. Lower the amount of geometry that you are currently working with because your just making more work for yourself than needed. Also something that I found useful was to place a cylinder placeholder where the side thrusters are because it'll give you a much needed reference point mainly due to the shoulder area being the key issue for getting the body to look good. The side view looks pretty solid though the frontal top needs more slope. *i may have to break this model out again.....*

Yeah, but even then a full year of hype? This isn't a video game. LOL! I see it in 3 ways. A. He wants a REALLY polished (think M0 & M7 merged together graphics wise) high level bookend to the macross universe, but than again 6 months is a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeallllllllllly long time to polish an anime B. He's going for HD levels and Macross detail at HD levels is not quickly done nor cheap, especially for 3D. C. He doesn't want to even think about tangling with a Gundam show for ratings. But there isn't anyway that they can pull a GunBuster 2 with this!

I finally got around, not that I was in a hurry mind you, to seeing the trailer. ...... .... ... .. ??? This sequel reminds me of what happened to a woman author when she hear that "woman can't write strong sexual female characters". Her next book was 40% sex as were many of her books afterwards. Basically it looks like the studio listened to the "WTF! PG-13??" complaints and brought in 2 completely ametur Kevin Smiths wannabes and told them to make an "R" movie, and they've turned out a "Billy & BobbyJoe Vs The Space Aliens" gore flick. Why oh why could they have not gotten somebody with ability and experience like John Carpenter!!

Wizard's is only doing what nearly every other gaming company does. "Force upgrade" to keep the profits at a growth phase. It's their own fault for fostering the faster = better scheme of business on the public. And frankly if you look at it v3 had been in the works from the mid-late 90's and anything over 5 years old today is perceived as 'ancient' by their target audience.

Well for example the VE-1 Elint Seeker is placed under DYRL. But in the Macross Design Works AB it's dated at 1984 which would place it under SDF. Which is why I asked if you were placing them by their first appearance on screen.

Macross Flashback 2012 artbooks!?!?! I thought that 2012 was only an unoffical fan made paste together music video in which it took nearly all of it's footage from the movies!

I find the 3D usage pretty damned jarring, even in the low quality trailer. It's especially contrasting with all of the desaturated pallet tones. The characters look like dead right copy's from the manga though!

It's just Marvels version of PC and their way of preventing race based lawsuits. ----- Visually the casting looks even worse than before. The semi-goat looks pretty fugly on Downey and Howard looks like a near miss on Rhodes. Gwyneth Paltrow is a horrible miss because I doubt she could pull off the pushy, hard nosed personal aide. But what I find milding interesting is what role Bridges is gonna play. I hope that it's not Stan Industry's owner/CEO.

This is EXACTLY what I don't want to see. You ruin a perfectly mythological background by reducing it, deconstructing the wonder of them, to mere a everyday humanistic element that's been seen ad-nausium for the last 20-30 years in SF. I have to say that they were better off being un-explored, because they've been such a "ghost of the past" motive story element that writing a story about them kinda ruins most of the Macross universe. Especially when they end up looking and acting human.

Only if your into Cop dramas that run through the typical anime storyline. I've found that EVERYTHING post GiTS movie is utter garbage and 10 year to late to be actually enjoyable. I could only stomach the xenophobic anti-terrorist hyper-informed super cop slick so much. FMA - ugh. The manga was 'kinda' ok-ish, but it just relied on shocking a person to move the story along. Right now I'm waiting for Reifuu to show up in Claymore. Gotta have my fantasy fix.

Granted I've not seen the entire series yet, I'm only up to 15 right now, but Basara does not want people to understand him because his arrogance and pride in perceiving himself to be correct or "righteous" prevents him from actually telling people just why they should "Listen to my song!". OR he simply can not verbally express his ideas in language though I highly doubt that because he is a singer. His is the childish attitude of "I'll do it my way and if you don't understand tough luck because I'm gonna stand in your way anyhow!". Basically the worst freatures of Minmay and Kial(spl) combine into one character. In nearly every episode I've seen, so far, those flaws appear. None more so than his near continuous abrasive haughty attitude towards Mylene and his blaming other for his own actions. I frankly find that his character was written with the expectations of the native culture firmly ingrained in the viewer. I just how that we get more info on the new series soon!

I love these sympathy arguments! PST! Nothing stopping them from buying the english release and watching the native versions. I love GB and DB but the prices are outrageous for the lack of localization dubbing. Box set only purchase when both of them hit the bargin bin.

Well if he's that old then T1 & T2 are thrown out. Anyway you look at it it's a pretty bad choice because "Have kid will travel." is family-centric and I doubt will fly well with the SF crowd that it will attract. The kid will get more play and make the sarah seem pointless quick enough. They were better off digging into the obvious gap between 1 & 2 where Sarah gets all of her training and stuff.

Sorry, my bad. Thought that was the series. But I didn't know that Gar was shelved for Voltron. But if it's been shelved then that's good at all. Because they may cut their loses and just hold the license. ------- Finally got to watch the Mac 7 ep 10-15. Damn! Mira is freaking HOT and the production value has really gone upwards in some places and others it pull 4Chan style QUALITY!! But I now completely HATE the Basara character. The whole "I'm brooding, spirital, why don't you understand I don't tell you anything!" stick is beyond redeemable. Easily one of the worse written characters so far, or the author is depending heavily on what he sees as "basic culture".

Thanks for the heads up! That'll at least save me a couple hours and nearly 20 bucks that both can be better spent elsewhere. Was only gonna see it for the SS action anyways because they were so true to the CB. I thought that they would've at least set it up for the big G intro in a 3rd movie using the SS character exploration & Doom taking SS's powers as filler for the 2nd movie. And here I expected the second movie to be worth watching. Silly me. So much for the real popcorn flicks that Surfer movies could've been! Dammit!
