Question #1- Liscensing, harmony gold is bitching saying that they hold the current liscense for macross and macross related material, and aren't trying to let go, at least i think it is like that, how manga got a hold of mac+ and macII i don't know, but that is the main reason mac7 and mac0 and the vfx-2, which was actually supposed to be released on playstation1 but harmony gold said no, and now they are requesting permission from anyone selling any macross or robotech related products, i think that is how it goes anyway

My blood boils at the at sound of this so called "Harmony Gold" company. They are getting in the way of my entertainment. Who is in charge of HG? Can't we petition them? Speak to them? Threaten to kick Mr. Head of HG's butt...j/k? From they way you described HG... they sound like a stubborn b!tch out to spite everyone and ruin everyone's fun and entertainment.

You can track topics through your control panel. Also, you can click on your name (where it says "Logged in as:" then click the link to find all your posts in reverse chronological order.

I generally just click the "View New Posts" link at the top right to see what's been posted since my last visit.

But the disadvantage is that it doesn't list the "recent topics" in order of when the thread was last "active" nor does it list it as a "Topic/thread" list form (like the subcategories that list active threads). The advantage to my suggestion is that for those who posts multiple times per day, they can simply click on "My Recent Topics" and see which topics they participated in are active or replied to since they last posted. This way, they don't have to go into a thread to know if it's been replied to or not since it is already in order of "most active."

I actually already have two 1/72 VF-2SS...I just wanted to build them w/ different paint schemes and build one more that's w/o the SAP.

BTW... the 1/48 YF-19 you sold me is still in its box...hahahaha I haven't had the time plus I have so many other models. I figure I'd collect first, then build .

What do most people prefer? Flat or Gloss? What techniques have you discovered, developed as for paint application? i.e. How to get the "been in flight/combat" look?

Wow... I am in awe seeing all these custom paint schemes. Damnit... now I gotta get one more of every model in my collection... 1 for stock paint scheme and 1 for alternate and/or custom paint scheme. Okie...maybe 2 more of every model... tsk tsk tsk more $$$$$.

But the toy market in Japan is going in the opposite direction, towards cheaper and smaller. Trading figures in the 500-600yen range, Capsule toys 200-300yen. With the slow economy reducing the money people spend on luxuries and leisure these are the things that sell well.

So far the indications are that the recent 1/48s are not selling. Yamato needs a baseline entry level product to support the large items. An example is the Gundam MSIA line, huge selection of low price point product. And this allows them to produce the incredible SOC line.

They wouldn't be having a customer base or consumer interest problem if they would just release the shows else where like the U.S. besides just Japan. Like Cartoon Network for example... that would really broaden and increase consumer interest. I suppose all this "no release" to the U.S. has to do with licensing issues?

What does "FP" stand for in the context of "YF-19FP"?

How likely is it that a transformable 1/48 YF-19 toy will be released? They did an excellent job w/ the VF-1(s)... it would be a shame not to see more toys that size and w/ that kind of detail.

1.) Why can't they release the Macross Series, shows, games, etc. in the U.S.? It certainly would help the market for Macross toys, models, etc.

Just a suggestion to add another topic/link such as "My Recent Topics" to the bottom of the main page along with these The moderating team | Today's active topics | Today's top 10 posters | Overall top 10 posters.

It would make it much easier for people to see their recent posts and check for replies especially if they post a lot. Or perhaps the link could go in the "logged in as:" bar at the top and be a link that says "View My Recent Topics."
