  1. That's a great build and in a "normal" scale that is practical to get other accompannying items like aircraft and figures. Great engineering and use of common materials! Congratulations! - MT

Oh MechTech thank you your comment, and I respect your 6 feet Daedalus which is official scale for Nichimo Macross kits. It is a small scale for destroids, battroids and human, but a gigantic scale for spaceships.

  2. Prometheus is made of wood if I understand?

Flight deck is cardboard. For durability under the deck there are some wooden frames.

Ship body is cardboard. Here cardbord is as is to say, well, corrugated cardboard? From a cardboard box for vegetables or so.

  3. Here explain CVS-101 Prometheus.

On a plate of wood I made the ship body with cardboard.

As for curved surfaces, I used wall repairing putty bought at a DIY store. But it was very difficult to make smooth surfaces.

After struggling I used lacquer putty and sanded.

Body and details are made of cardboard, paper, wood and putty.

Prometheus and SDF-1 are connected by a metal item. What's the name? For fixing slide doors. It can be released.

  4. That looks awesome! Great job.

In a few years, when all this 3D printing hits the mass market pricepoint, we should design a printable version of this at about this size. It would be a collaborative effort.

    Thank you for your comment.

I'm wondering to add more details by building parts by 3D printing. And the city buildings inside, aircrafts and destroids... dreams never complete.
