  1. What did I do? I just saw an auction that looked like it was just for boxes. Being a newbie and being somewhat interested, I decided to bring my thoughts here, MW, where I knew I'd find some well thoughout opinions about such auctions. The ones I did not think were valuable, well, I skipped over. The first response was from fearyaks, whom I know is a trusted MW member. If anything, all I saw here was people's opinions on the subject, and if certain people let other's opinions rule their life's, well then it would be much easier for me to get a low-vis at dirt-road price. All I would have to do is bad-mouth all the sellers, so that everybody else drops their bids, and I would come out, triumphantly, with a dirt-cheap toy. Now, would that truly happen? NO. People aren't stupid, not everybody, anyways. Bidders might listen to opinions, but in the end it is them who make the choices, put down their hard earned money, not the opinionated ones. So, who's at fault here? Nobody, I think. I saw something that I thought was weird, and I asked. If I can't ask here, then where? If someone's feelings got hurt, then I'm sorry, but if that was the thought process of every seller, then it would be a real pain to do business. Not everyone is going to like everything, that's impossible. And those who want to bitch, well, let them. He who has never complained, cast the first stone. Now it's between the seller and buyer. MY two cents? He won the bid, he deserves the toys. If they care to listen, good, if not I can't force them, can I? Sorry about the little rant.
  2. Well that person IS selling some high end stuff. Is kind of interesting to me, that someone would buy such a high end directv receiver and then turn around and sell it brand new. And I know this is only for macross stuff, but this is pretty funny to me, since brand new cards from directv are $20, shipping included and fedexed overnite. access card
  3. You're not the only one, good sir! Only difference between you and I is that I have NO money to spend . I figure a few members are eyeing that auction as we speak.
  4. Those 1/48 are tempting though. The price should shoot up soon enough!
  5. Is this one of those "boxes only" type of deals? If you get a set of empty boxes, there's nothing to complain, cause that's what the auction says, no? "What you see is what you get"
  6. Hey I don't know if I should post this here but... alpha sale Look at his feedback, he always blames lack of reading skills. what's he up to??
  7. Well I just checked, and it it still there, with ONE bid! What about these?? MPC Max MPC Millia MPC Ben?!?!??!?! At least the first two have Armors included, but the Ben one??? NOW that is a rip-off!
  8. Well, I, for one, I'm very pleased with my Alpha. Seems to me that Toynami is at least trying to fix things. Maybe they're not quite at MPC level yet, but later on, who knows? If a few of the problems of the first batch are fixed for the second one, and a few more for the Rook MPC, shouldn't that have taken lots of the 'little' problems everyone, myself included, is having, off of the MPC line? Maybe by the end of this line the MPC banner will fall in place, rightfully so, with the toy itself. Here's hoping.
  9. Well, for some reason, mine has a PERFECT right arm! The problem is with the left one though. I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones, low number and decent quality, not perfect, but decent. I'm satisfied with the Alpha, but I must admit, even mine has some issues. It has a bit of the floppy arm syndrome on the left arm, but besides that it's just fine. They only true problem I have with this is that, I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to play with it a bit. Change it back and forth, move it around. I have it now standing with a decent pose, and probably will leave it as is. I'm afraid I'll break it. Hopefully they'll fix the problems with the next batch and with the rest of the Alphas, cause I'm thinking about completing this set. If I can afford it!
  10. Well, I'm supposed to get mine today. Ya'll wish me luck. I never knew, as a kid (when I was a kid), that buying toys was so hard. I can only imagine if my parents had to go through buying $80-toys that would break as soon as I pulled them out of the box. I would have gotten additional whippings for no reason! Thanks Toynami
  11. I've never sold anything on ebay, but isn't there a charge for placing things for sale? How much of a fee would one have to pay for a $45 item that nobody wants?
  12. Well hopefully more people will post here with good reviews before I get mine. That way I can think to myself "3 to 1 or 4 to 1 isn't that bad, I SHOULD get one of the good ones!" . Or should I be evil, and hope for more bad reviews, and think to myself "hopefully all the bad ones have already been delivered, that way I pretty much KNOW I'm getting a good one!" Nah, I much rather be a nice guy. Hopefully Toynami gets their act together, and if they keep this up, well, at least the Beta should be darn near perfect, at this rate! Sorry about your alpha problems eugimon, I hope that if you get more alphas, that those come in perfect condition.
  13. This is like Russian roulette. I hope mine doesn't blow my brains off when I pull it out of its box. You guys are not helping much . One day I come in and read this thread and it's all good and I think "Good choice". Very next day (or just later on in the day), all that I get is "this toy sucks". I hope I get the 'good' kind.
  14. With Bryan Singer directing Superman, who's going to direct X-men3? I hope they don't pick someone like Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin). Scary thought that directors were changed after the second Batman flick, also.
