They couldn't revive interest with the last cartoon, why would making a second one make any difference?

I was very interested, i remember almost wetting my pants when they anounced it.

Then came the lame story and medioker 3d animation, and i was disapointed. Add to that the lukewarm reception by critics and you have an instant miss.

I think they should give it an other (better) try. What else can they do? interest won't pick up out of nowhere.

They might as well close up shop then, or be satisfied with what little we still bring to them. Witch won't be for ever by the way...

I think that was the point of Shadow Chronicles. They would have only had enough funding for that OVA rather than being able to finance a whole series or rehash an existing one. Sentinels and 3000 failed in early stages.

Their real hope lies with the supposed live action movie - they would be hoping for a piece of the success that Transformers had.

If HG can't affort a new series they are in big trouble. Isn't a full feature live action movie much more expensive?

It won't be easy getting investors interested if mechandise sales are so low. They are going to have to involve the whole macross thing into this, and tell investors it's big in Asia.

Could't they redub one of the many Macross series there have been sinds? The did it once right ?

They need more fans too!

What they need is a new series that will apeal to new fans and old ones alike.

We are all 30+ or something, how long will we be collection? 5 years tops? The numbers will decline.

If they don't bring in a new generation of fans Robotech is doomed. They got this following via the TV series.

It's very hard to find cabinets for display here in Mexico, dunno why, and for some reason we don't even have a single Ikea distributor yet. Fortunately a friend of mine who works for Swatch gave me one of their decomissioned display cabinets with lights and everything. It had a huge seam along the cabinet's front door, so I just bought some resilient sealing tape. It's very easy to apply and blends with the cabinet perfectly. If you put the tape around every glass, you can make the cabinet almost airtight.

the problem would be, you still have to vacium suck all the air that is inside.

Once taped shut i would not be able to open the cabinet easly. I open that thing 2 times a day .

At least the homes in TX are much more affordable than in Cali!

Anyways, I thought these display cases are dust free due to their sealed display case, no!?

You can't seal anything from dustmite, unless you seal it airtight.

The cabinet prevents most of the outside dust form getting in. Not all of it, because you'll open it from time to time. (i know i do)

And because there is not much for the mite to eat inside, the wont stay/survive there very long. Resulting in less dust.

Nice display case. But unfortunately you'll still have a little dust problem, not as much as you would displaying them in the open, but it'll still be there. =)

I know, But it won't be as bad as leaving them on the closett. This will be much better.

It was hard finding one with the correct dept for combo. This one was perfect.

Yeah if you were wrong then everybody would go back to saying, Ill hold off getting it till it goes on discount, or Ill wait for the Toynami version since it is cheaper.

I was thinking the same thing, i went out and bought it the day it came out. I had about a year to save up for all four versions. Too bad the last 2 never saw the light of day

Because the Beagle version has been much more expencive so far.

Plus i like the beagle headsculpt slightly better.

I also got both. I heard that there were pretty much the same number made by Toynami/Beagle so I wouldn't choose based on rarity. If you're okay with the head sculpt, I'd get the Toynami.

It depends. The only difference is the head sculpt and the packaging. Both scupts don't look exactly like the TV show. But i liked the Beagle version slightly better.

As far as packaging goes, The toynami version is much better. It's smaller but sturdier. And if you already have other Toynami masterpieces It will fit in fine.

I think the japanese versions will be harder to find in the future but that is just a guess.
