  1. Hi there : Well as I promised, here are the pics of my VF-1D. I hope you like it !!! Just one thing that I noticed, You`ll see that I forgot to put the antennas in the nose and the upper fuselage , but I took care of that after I took these pics that you are about to see. Cheers
  2. Hello again: Thank you all for your comments. I`m very pleased with the results of this kit. BTW I´m posting the pics of the VF-1D now in a new thread. Cheers
  3. Hi Scand..... First I preshaded the panel lines in black and then I used a mix of MM enamel sand FS 33531 and Humbrol enamel gloss white 22. Cheers
  4. More pics .... well I hope you like them Cheers
  5. Hello everyone: I finnally got the chance to take pics of my YF-19........so here are the pics. Any comments are most welcome BTW I will post the pics of my VF-1D soon
  6. Dude!!! That`s a lot of putty !!! Lookinng forward to your build-up as usual !!!! Cheers
  7. Just a big WOW!!!! ........She looks awesome. Cheers
  8. There are two different toolings for the hase. kits ........one with raised panel lines (very easy kit, cheap and is the one that has the macross zero decals) and the other has engraved panel lines, lots of details, BUT!!! it`s a pain in @$$ to work with ........Prepare your self to do a lot of sanding and filling.....but after all in my oppinion it´s the best F-14 kit. Then you have two more options to do a nice tomcat, First is the Fujimy ....easy kit , lots of detail (engraved panel lines) and many options. And second would be the Academy kit ......a cheap model that can become a great model with some work. I guess that´s all Cheers
  9. Thanks guys for all your comments. goldenboy_forever: The YF-19 will get an oil wash tonight....but i`ll try to keep it cleaner than just a regular combat plane, I pre-shaded it though ..... since this is an "experimental plane". As for VF-1D it has an oil wash and some pre-shaded areas ....but after all we are talking about a trainer plane ......in most cases around the world pretty damn shinny and clean. dyowelb: I used a mix 50/50 of gloss white (Humbrol 22) and sand (MM FS-33531) ....that´s it Cheers
  10. Hi there.....it took me a lot to post again of my progress, but ....well here they are not finnished yet ......I hope you like them.
  11. HEY DUDE!!! .......WHAT ???YOU DID IT AGAIN??? NO PAINTING???? She looks great !!! CHEERS Andrés Alvarado
  12. neptunesurvey: It`s a mix of Humbrol gloss orange nª 18 and Testors flat yellow nª 1169 (small jar). The instruction says to do a mix of 70% of orange plus 30% of yellow, but I actually did 2/3 of orange and 1/3 of yellow. Cheers
  13. I first spray black or dark grey, depending on what you want your model to look like, then I set my airbrush to minimum pressure to paint over the black, starting in the center of each panel and then move closer to the panel lines. Cheers Thanks!!!! I`d really like to see your work too. Cheers
  14. Gracias Ignacio!!! ,estaré posteando mas fotos hoy dia en la noche. Saludos Andrés Alvarado
  15. Hi again guys!!! Here is an up date on my VF-1D ... I did some pre shading, but not too much really thinking that this is a trainer aircraft: I need now to do some touch ups!! Opinions are welcome!! Cheers
  16. it´s actually pretty dark for a primer .......dunno what happend there....anyways is the Model Masters Testors Primer. It was apply with an airbrush. Cheers
  17. Hi guys here some pics of what i´m doing these days. Hope you like them. Cheers
  18. If you are gonna use future as a clear coat (my choice) then yes, you can apply it over the canopy, but don´t do it if you are using a dull coat. Another thing, try to cut out the lefts over of the decal film from the tails of your VF-0. Regards
  19. Great job you did with your VF-0, one thing though.....since you didn´t painted it, I think you should put a clear coat on it (dull or gloss, your choice....could be done with future also) because the decal will come off in a matter of time. Cheers
  20. Hi Christopher: About the tailfins... they look like the tailfins in the Mig-29, specially the tips, but I think they were cutted and sanded to fit on the valkyrie. You could also use the tailfins from the Su-27....kind of similar to the Mig-29 but bigger. That´s the close I could get. BTW. my name is Andrés Alvarado thanks
  21. It seems like the nosecone additionwas taken from a Mig-29 or at least the clear part of it, because the rest is molded in most mig-29s kits. About the tailfins, let me check my references and I´ll let you know what I can find. cheers
  22. Your welcome!!! Not only the tail fins, look this part of the pic cheers
  23. ChristopherB : The drop tank used in that kit are used in the RAFALE, the Italeri kit of this plane comes with a pair of those drop tanks. cheers
