  1. Man, how can anybody compare the 1/48 to the MPC?!?!? There's no competition there. For one the 1/48 is bigger, more detailed, and doesn't use the old hip joints to transform. Ugh, people these days!
  2. No thanx, I'll stick with the OG one on super NES.
  3. Sheesh, makes me want to sell my small cyclones now. I wish I knew that these were going to be worth alot that I could've bought a whole box of these for like 4 each. Maybe I'll put it up just make some money!
  4. For me, toys mean alot to me. As a kid, I never got the toys I wanted. So now I have the money to buy all the toys I want, even though it costs like arm and leg. I've always wanted macross toys so the closes thing that came out that was cheap were the Joons. I didn't buy them all only because I didn't want to waste my money on them. I started buying all the models that came out because those were able to transform. I got really excited about those. One day I went to my friend's house and looked at his nice collection and noticed his transformers collection and that started bringing back memories for me. So I started buying the ones I've always wanted first. Once that was done, I got hooked and started buying only the first series ones. Even after that, I started buying all the combiners. It just didn't stop. I kept going and going, so now I have a large collection of transformers. Even more than macross. But macross didn't have that many robots, so it's ok. So now I just came to a point in my life were I need to save up for the future and cut back on the toys. I've been doing so and just buying the ones I really need like the 1/48 VF-1S. I think I'ma skip the yamato elint and super O unless bandai releases them. I'm also running out of room right now so it's getting pretty packed in my room right now. So no matter what happens, I'll still be buying toys till the day the world stops making toys!
  5. What artbook did you get those pix from? and can you show me what the cover looks like? I might wanna look for this book. thanx
  6. I don't know, to me that doesn't look right. I'll just stick with the normal stuff. I've thought doing the whole double strike thing, but after seeing the pix for it, it just turned me off. Oh well....
  7. awww come on now. Your comparing gundam fix series to gungrave? Of course people would buy the fix series. There's so much more accessories and parts to play with, and not to mention it's has metal parts. So for a 8" inch figure, that's pretty expensive. Not even monav the gale figure was that much and he was huge! He was also very detailed and only cost 30 bucks! Hopefully the price will change for this nice piece.
  8. man, if anything should be done right, it's ratchet and ironhide!! If those were made to transform like the cartoon and look like the cartoon, I'd be all over that!
  9. Wow, a new OVA series of Patlabor is coming out? Does anybody know when it's coming out?
  10. all I know is when yamato gets around to making this toy, it better be big! Maybe bigger then the 1/48's! that would be lovely!
  11. yeah, that's a wee bit pricey. Now if that was a 12" figure, that would be a different story! I may pick this up. It has got to look very good in person that it will convince me to pay 50 bucks for it.
  12. My god, that is so ugly!! It's beginning to look alot more like power ranger style mechs now. Yuk!!! I'll just stick with the G1 stuff thank you.
  13. beautiful, just plain beautiful!!! Good job J!!!
  14. well, for one thing, the print quality is a little lower than than the original. Some of the pictures are brighter than the others. Stuff like that. The bootlegs usually use a cheaper quality paper to print out the bookcovers from what I've seen. And the biggest difference is of course the price. I always say if the price is too good to be true then it's a bootleg. The average cost of this book should be 40 bucks. I bought mine straight from a japanese bookstore. Anything less is a bootleg, unless it's a used one, but yeah.....
  15. those kids aren't flying in space, well they are, but it's cyber space. They got pulled into cyber space and that part where they are flying is towards the end of the episode where they are leaving. That's when unicron appears and seems like he's chasing them. That's unicron's first appearence in the show. Can't wait till he fully comes out.
  16. Man, I feel that Marvel has stooped to the lowest level now by doing this. That is so weak. Marvel used to be all original stuff, and people copy their stuff. But now they end up copying other people's stuff. That's just so weak sauce. I guess that's another reason why I got out of collecting comics. <_
  17. you can try and find some bootleg copies. they are just as good as the originals. The whole set I believe is like 50 bucks.
  18. wow, that looked really good! I love the way the ad was copied straight from the cartoon. That was cool. Makes me want to buy the toy even more!
  19. it's funny to see all these valks and fastpacks with no stickers on them!! Come on people, put some stickers on!! It'll look better!!
  20. Holy cow Chan!! 8 freakin 1/48 valks and 8 fastpacks?? dang, you got enough 1/48's there? If my memory serves me right, you were the one who posted your very impressive and expensive collection on the old forums collection page? You also showed us your M3. Was that you? I'm pretty sure it was. Dang, it must be nice to be rich.......
  21. oh yeah, that looks sweet! I would definitly buy that version of unicron if it came out. I wonder now, since unicron is coming out in japan, is there going to be a difference between the american release with the japanes release? Only thing I see different is that the japanese version comes with a video. I wonder if it might be a little different as in paint schemes. Here's a link for an ad: unicron ad
  22. The G1 prime had diecast metal in his chest and feet. I don't think it was all die cast or else it would have some major ware to the paint from transforming it and it would be hella expensive.
  23. aww man, if you were here in L.A. then I would have suggested to go to Frank & Sons. They get all the good macross stuff in for good prices. If they sell it for cheap then you gotta know their supplier hooks them up! Maybe I can ask around there next time I'm there. It won't be soon though. Sorry!
  24. From which Final Fantasy series creatures are you looking for? I know a place that has alot of final fantasy 8 Guardian forces. And if you buy them all you can build the ragnarok. The prices are pretty cheap considering you can't find these anymore. It's located in the toy district in downtown L.A. Other than that I don't know anywhere else that might have the Creatures your looking for except Frank & Sons.
