i believe Princesse de Rayons de Soleil would be Princess of Sunshine but it doesn't sound to good.

For one thing the new songs in Mac 2 would have been sung almost 40 years earlier in Mac 7.

Yamato gets my vote I have been happy with most of their toys.

They should remake the original macross series, remain the original sound/voice, just remake the series with almost the same animation quality of DYRL, of course with some "redesign" of the VF-1, the flight suits, Misa's hair, etc..

Not happening, new vocal talent would not be needed. I don't understand why anybody would want to see SDF Macross re-made. It was a great series in its time and still remains great, a re-telling would only diminish it. I also do not want to see Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay again. If you think about it there isn't much more they could do with that story, and in a lot of ways I think what they might do with them would be a travesty to the characters.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuh.....finally confirmed, new macross, I hope it's a new series, perhaps we could finally get what we've waiting for, a new series with fresh ideas with no magical hocus pocus since kawamori will be too busy with his other projects...

so, if they are just getting the singing 'idol' how long will it take to get the series aired?

If they want to have it out for the 25th anniversary it will need to be out by the end of the year, which is possible since I believe the applications for the audition weren't being accepted after the end of March.

With the description being idol singer/heroine, I would believe it is some sort of animation and not just a CD.

These all fit the bill for a heroine, music CD doesn't make much since with that descriptor.

I was gonna jump the gun and record any loose Zent lines I heard and of course Kamjin and sent them to you. However, I found only two lines from a stock Zent (he and roy kill each other)

Not supposed to be there. The animators used an early draft for the VF-11.

What I don't understand is why the VF-11 is so downgraded on weapons without using FAST packs. Only a gunpod and anti-aircraft laser without an attachment. The VF-5000 has internal micro launchers and comes before the VF-11 in chronology. The compendium doesn't even list wing hardpoints. I love this valkyrie but it needs something more.

Mr March there are a couple of things I noticed -

1. The head lasers on Max and Millia' VF-1J are supposed to be blue and red as in the pic below.

I kind of like the gray head lasers that you have, but if you want canon lineart colors it would be the way the anime shows them.

2. The black triangular things are lights that are supposed to be blue and red see pic below.

Yeah that rank progression is kind of strange in the compendium. Unless Max goes from Captain to LT. Colonel then to Colonel then demoted to Major. I doubt that though, probably a typo or a translation problem.

My YF-19 just showed up at my door today. Can't wait to transform this guy, I'm hoping it doesn't explode into a bunch of pieces.

Back to the SV-51. Graham states in his update that the SV-51 is never shown standing. I disagree, Nora smacks the gunpod out of Shin's busted up GERWALK, in battroid mode before Roy comes and chases her away. It is clearly shown standing on the ground.

This would just be restarting an argument again.....

anyway, a hovertank would be bigger than 4inches surely.... It'd be shorter than a 1/60 vf-1 but not by much.

I dont remember space hovertanks. then again ive only seen SC in Robotech, so maybe they left that out.

A 1/60 scale hovertank in robot mode would only be 4 inches tall

Are there any serious fans of the dub out there? If there are, I failed to notice any. The only advantage I can see for the dub is as a draw for those who don't like reading subtitles.

I am angry at myself for even buying the ADV dub. It is beyond suck, The only saving grace is that Mari Iijima is in it, but every thing else is terrible. I swear the choice in words that ADV used is the worst possible. I could not believe that I heard the words metro-sexual and poindexter used in the same episode. The sound effects for the most part are pulled directly from GI JOE. I could go on and on.
