My poor Gakken is now looking quite weak compared to that beauty. Who can I commission to do mine up like that?

Well, I guess I'll try to finish up my collection and try to get one of each 1/48 vf-1 (not going to bother trying to get a low-viz) with fps before they start climbing out of my price range. After that, use the extra funds to take my wife out to dinner once in awhile, instead of hitting the $1 menu at McDs.

I really like the Macross toys, but that Rei hiding in the back row is MUCH nicer! You should move that up front!

I thought we'd discussed this before here, but I did a search and came up empty. Anyways, just wanted to know if any other fellow MWers saw last weekend's episode "The Doomsday Sanction". I was a little concerned initially about the new "Unlimited" JL at first (hello? Hawk and Dove get an episode?) But last weeks setup for President Luthor and Supes duking it out with Doomsday and Bats flying to Supes' rescue (again), was just great TV period. I know this show is targeted to kids, but I thought it was just awesome storytelling and amazingly done in just 30 minutes! Anybody else catch it?

They still haven't done Sulutrek, ie. Star Trek:Excelsior. I say they get on the ball before Sulu completely decomposes.

I agree, they may be better off going back to the Enterprise-A era. I wouldn't mind seeing another ship from that era with cameos from the original crew, like Commodore Sulu or Doctor Chappel. Heck, there's a big excuse to big Kirk back right there.

So do you guys want new spoilers, or older-and-possibly-false spoilers?

Is this for real? Someone who actually has talent and clout and sci-fi cred wants to save trek? Not those B&B hacks? If it's true, Paramount should be calling him right about.....now.

Well, my son is two and right now we're on Studio Ghibli films. They are dubbed but he's totally mesmerized by Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away. I thought about letting him watch Mononoke, but there's quite a bit more violence so I'm probably going to hold off for a couple of years. Lately I've also been thinking about starting him RT in a couple of years as well. I know it's blasphemy but, it's pretty tame. I realize it has horrible dubbing and music, but I think subtitles would turn off a child younger than 11.

Maybe we should just start another thread that is clearly labeled SPOILERS AHEAD, and this one can be left to non-spoiler shots and news. Anyone dropping spoilers or spoiler related questions into this thread would get a free weekned off of the boards. Just my $.02.

I loathed any mission with a y-wing. Especially the "protect the convoy from 18 waves of tie bombers while the tie-interceptors hammer you" kind. The B-wing was a pretty good fighther too from what I remember. Not as nimble as the xwing but definitely could deal some damage.

Don't even get me started.

And people are trying to tout SWG: Jump to Lightspeed as being just as good.

I almost bought SWG just to get the chance to dogfight in an fighter again, but then I started reading reveiws that pretty much said you couldn't even get a fighter unless you'd had massive credits or XP you'd been building since the game intitally launched. Frankly, I'm not going to play or pay for 6months at 20+ hours a week just for the CHANCE to fly. They need to stop with the Rogue Leaders and make a sim-type game. Not to go any further off-topic but, anyone else prefer the A-Wing over any other figher in the games?

I just want another X-Wing game, is that so much to ask? 

That, and another Tie-Fighter game. That game was the greatest.

I agree, we're past due for an x-wing or tie-fighter game. Hell, I'm surprised they haven't tried to do anything for the PT. I'd even settle for a re-release that was compatible with WinXP.

I used to have the matchbox version, it was alright but i definitely the transformable one.

My wife has loved the prequals and still has no love for the OT. We saw the trailer before meet the Fockers and she leaned over and said "We're going to see that right? It looks intense." She also has managed to steal my GBA and hasn't allowed me to play for more than 5 minutes in months.

We are about 5 seconds away from someone posting a huge spoiler shot up that's going to ruin it for alot of us. Please be careful, folks!

I hate to be devil's advocate here, but are there any plot points left that have yet to be spoiled at this point? It seems like all the major bases have been covered here to me.

Maybe we should be worried that it might succeed? I know some of us here found Macross because of our initial exposure through Robotech. And with the resurgence of 80s brands and licenses, I wonder what even a moderate sucess would mean? Maybe HG would ease their stranglehold on Macross if they actually succeeded with their Mospeada based venture? They'd have a cash-cow with no licensing disuptes to milk that they owned free and clear. What do you guys think? *ducks incoming fire*
